[Q] Update to 4.1.2 - AT&T LG Optimus G

Hello all, I recently got my optimus g yesterday and have rooted and unlocked the phone. I am using the phone on tmobile network and was wondering if there is a method of updating to 4.1.2 manually? and also I flashed the att band update and wifi no longer will connect. is there any way to downgrade back to ics band? I've search briefly around in the forums and have not found anything.

Hop on irc #lg-optimus-g to get all the tools you need to restore back to OEM stock

If you had safe strap or boot strap installed before your gonna have to fast boot and try again it works I just did this two days ago. I started over fast booted 181 again then followed directions exactly and it worked. Its not a bad idea to fast boot anyway first that way you know your setup to revert back for upcoming ota.
I had a similar issue, trying to update from GB .181 to ICS 79 leaked rom.
Had to reflash .181 all over again because I had previously uninstalled some VZW crap software from phone (and when trying to flash ICS i got the exclamation point after a while)
Afterwards, root, rom manager, es file explore - permisions, and all went ok
Tried it again. This time was a success! Thanks for all the help!

Not on stock from the DND (diddle-n-drool); you have to install a leak-based ROM like Axiom or Black Widow, which include GUI tools for changing the setting.
Mine is set to "LTE/CDMA/GSM auto prl".
So...Yes, it does.
Global phone, FTW.
Haven't tested it, but it's set to that.

Can't get my Optimus G to root

I have followed the directions to the letter. It won't root. Any ideas?
Is your build number 11c? If it is you can LGNPST back to stock 10o and then root. Or if you look around I saw a method that can root 11c.

Got it rooted. Nocturnal ROM installed, but the AT&T apps are still there. I thought that ROM deleted them. Everything else is right. I used version 1.5.

Hi Torquerules, I'm curious if you actually use lgpnst to downgrade to 10o first or you're using that newer root method that can root straight from 11c ?
I rooted straight from 11c. I will have to search for the root method I used. It was easy.

Actually, I think it was this one. I downloaded and tried so many, I can't remember...

As for the root - there is no working way, you will have to root your phone once more.

delete cdt.bin from the firmware, then use rsd to flas JB. so you can keep lower cdt version, and you can root your phone easy.

Updating to Jellybean

I bought a Lg Optimus G and its on 4.0.4 but its unlocked and using it on t mobile. When i go to update it it shows and error. Is there anyway to get jellybean with the phone on t mobile network? Please Help
You probably need to flash a custom ROM that's already on JB. Trying to update most likely won't work due to switching carriers. Hope this helps.
