Hello I've been running Houston's Intl JB version with Mystery's kernel just fine until I flashed the latest 4.0 version. I get a blinking LG logo and I can't get into recovery mode. I've been trying to LGNPST back to stock JB but it stops at 85%. I have been trying to fix my phone but it will not reboot. Help anyone????

It always stops at 85% for me. Does it reboot after that or is the phone's screen still stuck on download mode?

The LG logo just keeps blinking at 85%. I'm gonna try the ICS bin file and see if it takes.
No matter which bin file I download I get stuck at 85% on LGNPST and the LG logo keeps blinking. I tried a hard reset but it only goes back into a bootloop. Is there anything else I can do?

Doh!!! The battery was drained and it wouldn't charge while in a boot loop. Charged phone on wall charger for a few minutes and now it booted up just fine. Thanks so much to all the contributors on XDA. This site is so awesome!!!

So I upgraded to a custom ROM, everything appeared good.
I then did a factory reset via menu>settings. Phone didn't boot up past the Sony Ericsson splash screen.
So I rebooted it into recovery. Did another full wipe there. Still wouldn't boot past the splash screen.
It stayed on the splash screen for a few hours then is went off. Not it won't boot at all.
I can no longer get it to boot into recovery.
When I connect it to Flashtool nothing appears to happen except the red LED flashes twice quickly.
When I try to turn it on all that happens is the red LED flashes twice quickly.
When I plug it in after a couple minutes it boots to the Sony Ericsson splash screen, stays there for a while and then the screen goes off again.
What can I try? Any advice would be Great.

the red led flahes means it has very low charge left.
charge it for 1-2 hours and then try flashing stock firmware via flashtool.
If it doesnt work, then put the battery in other phone or external charger and charge it.
Then try to flash stock firmware.
Also, AFAIK you should not do a wipe from settings menu on a custom rom ( I might be wrong about this )

That's what I assumed, but it flashes red like that after being on the charger for 8 hours.
And the battery is not dead because I was getting multiday usage out of it last week.
But I will try what you suggested again. It is on the charger right now...

Honestly I'm not going to go out and buy another accessory for a phone that may or may not be dead (espesially since I would have to order it online).
Maybe I can find a friend that has a X10 though.

OK I found someone that has an Xperia Play and it appears they both use the BST-41. I'm gonna see him tommorow. Hopefully with a fresh battery I can get it to boot into recovery...

Hi,
The S2 was stuck in a loop when booting up, I went into recovery mode which worked ok. During the setup the phone crashed and after leaving it for around an hour, pulled the battery as it clearly was frozen.
Now the phone want boot up, charge or enter the recovery mode again.
Any suggestions? I've tried my own S2 battery but no luck so i've ruled out a dead battery.
not sure if its dead or not... can u get it to the recovery mode (volume up+home+power) or download (volume down+home+power) .... if u can then its probably a bad OS and u need to flash a new rom... if it doesnt even boot into he two modes then its bricked i.e dead...

Help Needed guys ! I have (I9100XWLSK_I9100ODDLSA_INU) flashed on my s2 and is rooted (temp recovery + push SuperSu method).
From the past few days there had been severe battery drain and root issues, also the phone used to freeze every now and then. So i un-rooted and rooted it by the same method mentioned earlier.
Today my phone froze again so i restarted it and after the restart the phone got stuck on the Samsung logo(device info) it stayed there for a while hence i removed the battery and booted it up, now it got stuck at the Samsung boot animation( a loop) so i waited for a while and it continued to be in a loop. I again removed the battery and tried booting my phone, that's when the phone stopped responding. (no recovery, no download, no battery symbol on device when i put it for charge but the phone heats) i tired booting with a different battery but no luck! What might have gone wrong ? How can i fix it ?
That sound kinda dead.
Does it heat up near the camera?

No.
Just change your charger don't charge it with moto charger. Use a different good charger and leave your phone phone to charge for more than 6 hours.
Hopefully it will get switched ON.

I think their is something wrong with the ROM.
You have soft bricked your device.
Few months back I too soft bricked my device while on custom rom. But somehow I was able to go in recovery.
Just try to go in recovery mode or if it doesn't work then you have to sideload the rom.

Your device doesn't even show bootlogo since my device used too.
If it doesn't then you have hard bricked your device.
For sideloading just google it or search in forums but it won't work if you device is hard bricked.
I deleted my OS in TWRP recovery, I've tried doing many things but none of them have worked. I tried flashing a stock kernel using fastboot, flashtool, using sony's flashtool Emma but all of them gave an error. My bootloader was unlocked and i think USB debugging was on but i can't be completely certain. And I'm not sure if the phone is charging or not because it's just stuck on the sony logo. The model is D6503. I'm pretty new to this stuff so i don't know what to do, if you need any more information i'll try to provide it as fast as i can. Thanks in advance.
Do you still have access tp TWRP? If you do, just go into the recovery flash a custom rom from XDA then try to return to stock if you want.
Are you have done a flash thing before?

Yes I have used flashtool before. It gets stuck while flashing data and doesn't move on any further. I left it running at night and when i came back to it 10 hours later it was still stuck on the same step. Maybe it's a battery problem and it runs out during the procedure, but i can't check the batterly level because whenever i try to charge it i get the sony logo and it stays stuck like that. I tried the red button at the side next to the SD card slot but it just vibrates 3 times and then turns itself back on when i plug it back into the charger and gets stuck on the sony logo again.

My battery life is pretty bad overall it especially drains really fast after reaching 15-30%. Yes I can still connect to fastboot and flashmode. I've tried using both to flash a stock rom/kernel but both of them gave errors.
When I try to use flashtool it gets stuck at some point and doesn't go any further. When i try to flash using fastboot i get an unknown error within seconds and it doesnt work.

Strange... It can be the battery because if you can connect to flashmode/fastboot mode this means phone is still alive. I also had a battery isue too which didn't let me boot the phone at all. Anyway you should leave your phone on charge for overnight then try to flash something next day ornif you can someone open the backcover of your phone you can try to dissconect the battery and boot the phone while connected to charge but if you don't know how to open it please don't do it.

Hmm strange... I am sure that you can't get into flash mode without the battery. But I am kinda sure the problem is the battery becuase when my old battery died my phone just kept blinking on Sony XPERIA logo. Anyway I think you should get other's idea as well.
