My phone appears to be reporting 51.3 F but I am sure it is C. Could it be a build.prop setting issue?

I'm not too keen on Celsius but if it was 50 Celsius isn't that like on fire?!?
Maybe it's just cold and Fahrenheit? Or a bug/glitch?

50C-80C is quite normal for just about any CPU/GPU, whether mobile or desktop running with some load.
This is happening on several stock based ROMs and CM based. After further playing around I suspect the kernel code isn't actually talking to a sensor (or there is no sensor on the Telus Amaze) as the temperature is always 11.3C (and I'm indoors at 20C). Tried several battery apps from the play store.
Just a curiosity, no impact from what I can tell.

This phone is sick. With the stock I once got 5063.
Rooted mine yesterday, no specific rom yet, and got 5160.
I love this phone.

Seriously. I don't even know why I rooted mine. I'm not really a flashaholic. I guess i rooted it just to say I rooted it. Might just unroot it seeing how I like everything about the stock. Battery life isn't even a problem.
Actually, the only reason I wanted to root mine was for the wireless tethering but as soon as I rooted it and went looking for the tethering apk I found out that there's an unrooted, free wireless tether app. Amazing.
I seriously love this phone. I can't imagine it being topped.
It can be topped when it is running Jellybean... :-D

Day three on the Rom and speed is no longer an issue. However, I am still having issues with the battery draining quicker than stock. Any recommendations, especially from the folks who are getting 15 hours.

I'm sorry, as this rom is new to me, how do I make this change? Will the phone still be peppy? It took a few days for the phone to settle in, and I would hate to lose the performance.

Well I've never tried it so can't say. However do you have a rouge app maybe? Do you have a lot of Widgets on your home screens? Did you turn off background data, gps, etc?? All these play a major roll in battery life. Did you do a fresh install?

Fresh install. Wiped even everything three times. Only widgets are the clock and Google Music. Of course the phone lists the screen as 70% of the usage.

Some days battery kicks ass, others it drains rather quickly. I'm gonna blame it on network changes.

Did you change your LCD density?
Negative captain. All stock except for basic tweaks from viper app
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Works for me with stock with goodies and jelly bomb rom! What could have happened is you may have accidentally changed your build prop ( custom market, changing screen dpi or even running aosp at a different DPI) do other apps work fine?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Completely stock, out-of-the-box here and it works pretty good. Got it the day it dropped in the Play Store and haven't been prompted for an update since then.
I've only had issues with this game while running an AOSP ROM. I've tried it on two different Sense ROMs and it's worked great.
I have had it running on AOSP and sometimes it won't start completely, sometimes it'll freeze after a race, and usually the menus will look funky (like images didn't get loaded correctly).

Ah ha! My 4G is garbage on CM. Well, not garbage, but it rarely picks up 4G anymore unless the signal is very strong. I'd see 4G disappear more than appear whereas MeanBean in the same location and other locations will stick on 4G BUT not always with the fastest speeds. Maybe CM is more "realtime" with its connectivity, if that makes sense (no puns intended).
Anyone know of an app that shows the exact screen on time for jelly bean like how it used to be displayed in previous android versions? I found one a while ago but I can't seem to find it again.

I think gsam battery monitor will give you the screen on times. Or flash one of the aosp Roms and it will be in the settings. Not sure why htc took it out.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Yeah I seen that in a couple aosp roms. I always ditch them tho because I don't have great battery life on them and my radios act slower. There was an app that literally replicated the regular screen on time thing.

better battery stats:

Awesome, thanks. Both apps served there purpose, was looking for more of that classic look though. What a crock. One particular flash of BlackCM had me geeting four plus hours of screen time. Ever since i switched from that rom that has not been happening at all lol.
