Anyone who is using Task's AOKP got Facebook Chat heads working?
I have updated both the facebook and Facebook Messenger apps, enabled the Chat Heads feature, rebooted but the chat heads do not appear?
Anyone any ideas?

I'm using Task's latest Rom and I have the newest Facebook. Have you checked the Chat Availability in Facebook settings?

There's a section in this forum called themes and apps. As it seems this is app related , and not rom related, maybe move the Convo there? Also, does this app work with other roms out of curiosity?

Chat availability is on in Facebook and, yes, I have received messages since I installed and changed the settings. Just got another message now in fact. They come to the Facebook messenger just fine - just no Chat Head.
Sorry if this is the wrong place - I had read that it was working in other ROMs and did not want to post in Tasks thread. Apologies.
EDIT: So I uninstalled Facebook and re-installed it (as I had done previously) and now it all of a sudden started working. Weird???
Chat heads won't work if the statusbar is hidden

I don't know if its just me, but since a long time I'm not reciving Twitter notifications, to see if someone metioned me or send me a message i need to open the app and refresh manually
There is any way to fix it? Ive cleaned app, deleted account re flash but nothing is working

The problem is, you have to enable auto-sync o your phone. Turn it on it the twitter sertings AND in settings > accounts and sync

assuming all your syncs are turned on and youve ticked the notifications in settings like you say, have you tried just uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

About a dozen times
i've reinstalled to Stock Rom and havent worked there is anyway to reset my account connections on twitter, like people do with BlackBerry Emulation to facebook ?

Did you also wipe cache and data and system on reinstalling a ROM ? Might help

same issue i mainly use tweetcaster however does not have push notifications i installed the twitter app last month which worked for like a week or 2 and then just stopped! need a better twitter app fro android what do u peeps use?

Still not working :/ using TweetCaster Pro with 10 Minutes Delay, hate this....
Dude, try revoking access to the Twitter for Android App from Twitter's web settings. Then uninstall Twitter, re-install and add your account.
Now that there are so much options for push messages in the new facebook app and the messenger was integrated, I thought that the push messages would finally work. But they don't. Is there something I have to set up for it to work?
I mean what the hell is so difficult to make that feature work? I don't get any notifications for new messages, not to mention about any friend requests, likes etc.
Do other apps' push notifications work well for you?

Yes, this problem only exists for the facebook app! The messenger app does work fine though.

well fb app is a crap,but ive got on my phone too an it works ,all of them check ur settings,an if unsure uninstall an reinstall

Did you ever log into your fb account with a blackberry? Because that seems to activate push notifications somehow.
Check your phones settings. Settings > Accounts & Sync.
Check your push frequency within the Facebook Application. Unsure of where it is. I deleted the application all together. Too much of a battery drain. Good luck

Yup, pretty much. I did this using my sister's blackberry and push notifications worked fine afterwards.

What other apps can you suggest? The latest Facebook sucks, it shows that I have new messages but it doesn't show the message itself, only from browser.

From what I can tell from a quick search, it appears that it's a problem with Facebook integration with Handcent. While Handcent is installed, go ahead and log out of Facebook for Sense. Then log back into Facebook for Sense.

I guess I should have said this in my first post. Pictures were working fine in Handcent before I flashed to the ICS CleanROM. I was using a Gingerbread ROM from CleanROM before.

I believe the problem is ICS not sense, I think I read somewhere that ICS handles facebook integration differently and that apps will have to be updated to work correctly with it.
I get issues with contact picture too most of the time it is caused by facebook syncing contacts
On meanrom ICS and having the same issue. Glad it's not just me. I just reported the bug to Handcent and all of you should as well.

Tweet Deck is a better app
Correct me if I'm wrong, but G+ syncing/cross-posting will probably be the hardest to find as I don't think that Google has released any APIs for it.

Hi! I am very new to ViperDNA and I just installed it for the first time a few days ago. My problem is that when I go to respond to a group text conversation, it sends my message to everyone in the chat individually instead of responding to the chat. When I go into the MMS Settings on my phone, I have "Group conversations" checked. I don't know how to fix this.
I'm running ViperDNA 3.0.0 and I'm on Verizon Wireless

I am not able to post in development-related forums because I am such a new member.
What I ended up doing is setting Hangouts as my default SMS app. Group texting works in Hangouts but not the stock app for some reason. It's not an ideal fix, but it works for now.
Mines working just fine on viper.
