There are a few ways to root.here are 2 ways it is not specifically for your device but i have used them on many quad core devices and they will root them.

Try Towelroot, it will either safely root your phone or it will say unsupported.

Use the latest version of Iroot to root this device. Its the English version of Vroot. I've rooted this mobile with iroot & can tell you it works successfully without any problems.

I would not use a ROM for another similar device, mainly since it will have some unseen variations in the source code. Most likely, some features of the device will not work due to differing vendor binaries but what's the worst that can happen I guess. Give it a try and make sure you have a recovery in case it breaks.

i have modified rom INFOCUS M680 for SHARP M1/MS1/FS8001
INFOCUS M680 is identically has the same hardware specification with SHARP M1/MS1
i've try to install it on my device and success...
it works 100% on my sharp M1/FS8001
