hello,
i am using lumia 920 now, i don't have a WIFI in my home, so i have made my laptop as a hot spot . My phone gets connected to hot spot, but cant access the internet ,
any one can help me here.
thanks
Ammm, how does ur laptop get its Internet connection? If it is wifi, then it cannot be a hotspot. So it must get the Internet from ur router through UTP wiring.
What u need to do (if not already) is to make a network bridge between ur wireless card in the laptop and ur ethernet. When it is done properly, u will have Internet on the phone.

Hello,
I have internet on my Desktop PC and connect it using the cable to my hd2 through active sync.
so I want to use the HD2 router to connect my laptop to this internet connection. However, when I open the router I cannot rout the active sync. connection but I can only rout the internet from my service provider or 3g which i dont want.
I hope you can help me solve this issue because I really want to use internet on my laptop using my Desktop PC connection through my HD2.
uppppp please anyone answer me
any body wanna answer
So you want your internet connection through usb
I dont believe the wifi router software is capable of routing wifi connections to the usb connection. Only to teh mobile data connection. Perhaps there is other hotspot software that can do this, but the built in one wont. (unless i'm dead wrong, but fairly sure not)
maybe this is what you are searching: http://www.wmwifirouter.com/download/WMWifiRouter-International.cab
Im using the wifirouter with no issue, works well with my data plan!
Hi,
I don't have wifi at home, but I wanna do some surfing on my laptop, without being connected to Internet with wires.
So I got an idea: why don't I use the wifi router program on my HD2? I can connect it to my desktop computer (it's connected to the internet with a wire), and then turn it into a wifi router. But apparently it only works with GPRS to Wifi, not Active Sync to wifi.
Is it possible to do?

So you are trying to do this:
PC -> HTCHD2 (Wifi Router)-> Laptop
Sorry I'm not sure if you can do that.
If you have 3G, it should be sufficient and you can charge the phone while using it as a router. Hopefully someone else can spread more light on this subject.

Bought Spice Mi-350 in India, having Android 2.3.3 Version. I need to use my PC Internet connection for browsing and using Android market on my phone (Without wi-fi). Please help...

Please help. I have already rooted my phone with Superoneclick. Downloaded a Terminal emulator on phone. Still not able to connect to internet.
My Internet connection on PC is a cable connection with it showing in XP as WAN Miniport (PPPoE) connection. My Android phone connection, after tethering shows as Local Area Connection-2 (Android USB Ethernet/RNDIS#2). I am unable to bridge the two connections....
Hi
You can probably share internet connection thru bluetooth if you dont have wifi adapter!
Google "Sharing internet connection through BT"
Try this:

@kats17
The links that you mentioned have already been seen by me. Either they are talking of tethering (and not reverse-tethering, which is using PC internet connection on phone), or of bridging two LAN connections in XP. Nevertheless, thanks for your help.
As said earlier, I have a cable connection on my XP PC, which is showing as a WAN Miniport (PPPoE) connection. This connection is not getting bridged with my LAN (Android) connection, and therefore I am unable to complete the connection.
Please help anybody..
Ok let me try to explain.
I DON'T want to use my 4g to do USB tendering. What I want is while my phone is connected to my home wifi I want to use that wifi that is on my phone and connect it to my laptop via USB tedering.
Reason being, my laptops wifi is messed up but not the lan. I don't want to use all my phone data so I want to grab the home Internet with my phone and use my phone as a direct line to my laptop without using 4g.
Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone. Does anyone know if there is a tool like that somewhere.

if you enable the usb tethering, wifi will be turned off, the only way is to use lan cable. connect your laptop to your wifi modem with lan cable, it has at least one lan port.
Hi,
I have a wireless router that allows me to plug in a Hard drive / SD Card etc. It can be a bridge to another network or an Access Point etc but can also just be a LAN without an internet connection allowing access to the connected devices.
This works perfectly on my Nexus tablet / PC etc, however, on my Mate 20 Pro, the connection is unstable to the point of not being able to use it. I get a notification saying the WiFi connection doesn't have an internet connection I press connect anyway and from there it keeps dropping and reconnecting the connection.
If I plug the router into a network point and give it an internet connection it works perfectly on the Mate 20 and any other devices.
I think this is some clever connection manager thing Huawei is doing to try to connect to the internet but can't find a way to stop it. I am going travelling and wanted to only take the router and my phone however it is looking like I will need to take my tablet too to use it for what I need.
I've searched and searched the internet and here for clues but nothing so I am hoping someone has an idea.
Thanks
Andrew
