Hello,
I have a SIM free Galaxy SII and I never rooted it. However, when I connect it to Samsung Kies, I get the following message:
Your Device's current firmware version is not supported to update via Kies.
My phone's details are:
PDA: I9100XWLP7
PHONE: I9100XXLPS
CSC: I9100OXXLPH
Build Info: Tue Apr 3 19:44:49 KST 2012
Android version: 4.0.3
Could you please help me? Why do I get the above message from Samsung Kies?
I read somewhere in the forum that I should change my phone's sale code (current sales code XEO).
Many thanks in advance!

I have same trouble solution was originally Samsung USB cable. If you have any other cable it won't work.
Simple as that
You can try re-installing Kies, and check if you have the latest version of Kies.
Use a different USB cable, and try different USB ports.
If that doesn't work, try changing ur CSC to that of ur region (caution: may wipe ur data).
Or, alternatively, u can flash the required firmware via odin.

Hi there,
I currently purchased a new SG3. It has the vodafone branding which I want to change. When I do the *#1234# it shows me the following:
AP: I9300TDUALE6
CP: I9300TDULE6
CSC: I9300TVAUALE6
"About Device" reports:
Model Number: GT-i9300T
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: I9300TDULE6
Kernel version: 3.0.15-CL554509-user
[email protected]#1
SMP PREEMPT Sun May 13 11:52:35 KST 2012
Build number: IMM76D.I9300TDUALE6
Am I able to change the software/firmware from Vodafone to the Telstra one located on Sammobile. Im unable to post outside links but heres a copy of whats available on sammobile.
Firmwares for GT-I9300T - All (10 latest)
Country/Carrier Date Android PDA CSC
Australia (Telstra) 2012 June 4.0.4 I9300TDUALF2 I9300TTELALF2
Australia (Telstra) 2012 May 4.0.4 I9300TDUALE6 I9300TTELALE6
I got no idea how all this rooting stuff works. Im trying to learn but I can get my head around it. So sorry if any of my questions seem stupid. Thanks for all your help in advance.
No need rooting to flash.
And yes you can flash Telstra firmware on Voda model, they are the same hardwares.
You need Odin 3.04 and need samsung usb driver or if you already have it working with Kies, then no worries about driver.
Here I copied the general instruction from the UK thread:
Instructions For Flashing Firmware:
Extract the firmware
Launch Odin
Turn off your device
Put your device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power)
Click PDA and select *.tar.md5
Then finally click START!
Thanks mate. Am downloading the firmware now. Its gonna take 2 hours to download.
Am I meant to change any of the options in Odin3?
Thanks again.
Now that I have flashed my galaxy s3 successfully.
I keep getting the message "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped"
Does anyone know what this is or can direct me into the right place? Ive done a factory reset as another thread recommended but didnt work.
Thanks

Please dial *#1234# and post the exact result. You could also use Check Fus just to see what it suggests your latest firmware should be.
Hi everyone,
I need to get myself an official Hi3G Denmark branded firmware for my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100.
Reason: I just got phone out of repair and wanted to Root it and flash a custom ROM. After I rooted it, KIES could not recognize my firmware and did not offer any more updates for my phone. Plus, I could not back it up any more.
I think it has something to do with me flashing custom kernels and firmware to it.
Noob as I am, I did not backup my clean phone with CWM and have been since searching for an original firmware.
I have been searching XDA/Google up and down and flashed various firmwares, branded and unbranded, odexed/deodex and what not, to no avail...
Now I am running a firmware with which almost everything is working, except KIES update and backup (well, as far as I noticed).
Info:
PDA: i9100XWLPT
PHONE: i9100XXLQ6
CSC: i9100NEELP4

Thanks for the suggestion. Still No go. All core processes stop after flashing the new firmware i.e. acore, messaging, softwareupdate, etc.
and KIES does not even recognize my phone.
Still looking for the right firmware... The same that would have been pushed through KIES.
Aynone?

Issue SOLVED by deleting all sync accounts and re-adding them.
Hi,
I am fairly new to smart phone development so please go easy on me this time
First, some info on my environment:
MacBook Pro
Mac OS X 10.7.5
Samsung GT-I9100
No SIM card installed yet
Samsung Kies 2.0.0.12095_7
Model Number: GT-I9100
Adroid Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: I9100UHLPE
Kernel Version: 3.0.15-I9100UHLPE-CL200654 [email protected] #3
Build Number: IML74K.UHLPE
Location: Eastern Standard Time, USA
So, my Samsung i9100 arrived this week from NewEgg.com. I was surprised it came installed with Adroid Version 4.0.3. Then I read that Samsung recently released 4.0.4 so I installed Kies, hoping to upgrade to 4.0.4.
In Kies, under Firmware Information, I see the following:
This is the latest firmware.
Current firmware version: PDA:LPE / PHONE:LPE / CSC:LPE(TTT)
Latest firmware version: PDA:LPE / PHONE:LPE / CSC:LPE(TTT)
I read that the firmware version can also be obtained by opening the dial pad and typing *#1234# So I did that and found this:
PDA: I9100UHLPE
PHONE: I9100UHLPE
CSC: I9100UUBLPE
Build Info: Fri Mar 9 13:49:34 KST 2012
Now I am confused:
1.) Did my phone arrive from NewEgg with an official Samsung Android version?
2.) Why is Kies not displaying the firmware version and how can I fix it?
3.) Assuming I get Kies fixed, lets say I want to wipe my phone, start from scratch, and install the official Samsung version of 4.0.4 Is that possible and how?
4.) Any other recommendations?
Thanks for your help!
Hii guys, I'm in need of great help to update my Samsung Galaxy S2.

On Kies, it says "Your firmware is not supported by KIES to update"
(Check through *1234#)
ANDROID VERSION: 2.3.5
PDA: I9100ZSKI3
PHONE: I9100XXKI3
CSC: I9100OZSKI3
PRODUCT CODE: XXX -Unknown
Build date: Fri Sep 23 19:48:32 KST 2011
"PHONE IS ROOTED"
I tried updating it manually but I can't find the firmware packs
PLEASE HELP. PLEASE.
HELP PLEASE!

Vinay Kumar from Pakistan
This has been covered many times my friend.
Steps:
1. Go to sammobile.com and find the latest firmware meant for your device and region.
2. Download the firmware and extract it.
3. Download Odin (any version would do) and make sure your USB drivers are installed.
4. Put your phone into Download mode and flash the firmware via Odin.

...or chack out my Guide in my signature if you are a newbie to flashing :highfive:
flash rom via odin
You're the 3rd person to suggest that in this thread. Congratulations. You win a prize.

Thank you but as I have said that my phone's PDA is:- I9100ZSKI3
and on sammobile when I search firmware for Pakistan (where I live) the latest firmware is Android 4.1.2 which has PDA: I9100XWLSD so How can I change the firmware as the PDA is different of the phone and latest firmware?
I'm sorry I don't know about these things, tell me what should I do? a help would greatly be appreciated
Just flash that latest firmware you found on Samfirmware. What you currently have on the phone is irrelevant. Might want to read the guides/tutorials stickied near the top of the General section before you do; I feel a busted phone coming on.
:good:
You have flash 4.1.2 Stock Rom via Odin. Then you can flash CWM 6.x.x and up any custom rom as you want.
