$170 at Walmart on contract seems pretty good if you don't have the Best Buy $50 deal. The "Accessory Kit" from Costco I'm sure is just garbage-y... pic is too low res to even see what's in it.
Keep in mind, activation is waived at Costco. $36.00 savings, so it's basically the same price as Walmart (+3 dollars)

That said, I just pre-ordered Stealth Black from Walmart as they are 1 of the 2 vendors doing it. Hoping something from ATT pops before the shipdate though, so I can scrap this order and get it from them as they have a far superior return policy.
Costco link doesn't work. When I add the phone to my cart, it works, but when I checkout, it says my cart is empty. Anyone else having this issue?

Just a heads up to those with grandfathered unlimited data, I tried to upgrade a year ago with Costco but they were unable to retain my plan so I didn't go through with it. Hopefully, they are able to now.

Well, walmart let me pre-order today. Costco was one of the other few places that kept their Stealth Black orders open. It's possible that they were only allotted a certain amount, that or they fudged up. Regardless, I placed my order with walmart. Going to see how things turn out on the official release date, and if there is no traction on it, I'll be cancelling and waiting for ATT.
Are there any employees of any wireless carrier that can comment on the availability of the black version? Anyone seen a memo or shipment allotment for their particular employer? I was hoping to get a black one but might have to go with silver

Wait dude. If you honestly want silver, then do it. But if you are excited about black, and want that more, then go for it. Otherwise wait, you'll be happier.
I talked to a rep and this was their official stance on the Black version:
Mike S.: AT&T customers will be able to preorder the Silver HTC One on April 4, 2013.* The 32GB model will be $199.99 with a two-year commitment and the 64GB model will be $299.99 with a two-year commitment. The Silver model will be available in store on April 19th and availability on the Black model is still TBD. Customers who pre-order an HTC One are eligible to get a Free** Media Link HD wireless HDMI adaptor.Note: Due to supply constraints the Black HTC One will not be available for preorder.

i just saw a link for the wal-mart pre-order and was wondering if you got information on the capacity of the one you ordered? i didnt see any mention of capacity in the wal-mart description. however, im assuming its 32GB since they have it for $169.99!

AT&T...charges your credit card when the device ships.
Best Buy is charging 749 off contract online, which is 100 dollars more than at&t but I was told they price match in the store if you show them at&t's price.
Couldn't order online because it won't let me keep my unlimited data plan. Will have to go in the store.

Some will match some will not. I think the official policy is that they do not match the carrier stores. If you go to a Best Buy with a ATT retail store nearby, they will usually call the store to make sure the phone you want is in stock there and then they will match it.
I like Best Buy because they have a 30 day return policy with no restock fee.

Best Buy will price match any "brick and mortar "price. Meaning if it can be purchased and in stock at any store they'll price match. Just not any online price

I just checked with my phone and the mobile site as the option to buy at full retail.
Just go to the B& More store. They should be able to do it at Best Buy mobile.

You put $50 bucks down and get a $50 BB gift card as a deposit that you can use towards your phone or not.
The guy said they are getting it on release day and not 2 days earlier like At&t but also said the computer many times doesn't really keep track of early release info etc....just standard release days. Either way, I will swing by on the 17th just in case.

I went ahead and ordered the silver. I have a TyTNII (Tilt) to return on the trade-in program that's worth $100, so I figure even if I get whacked with a $35 restocking fee to trade colors if they come out with black a month from now, I'm still ahead of the game.
Only the silver ones are available for pre order - apparently the black ones might not make it for launch according to our internal documents.

Why the delay? I know they're already out on the streed based on posted pictures. What gives?
Probably production setbacks for whatever they do to make the metallic black.
Silver is probably easier to manufacture.
Havnt seen a black review of the htc one yet lol
The black is an anodized finish so that takes some time, plus they might have to polish out some spots for a ground contact or something. It would take more time to produce but probably they thought very few people would want black.
I'm glad it worked out this way. I couldn't make up my mind which one to get so when I went to order it ATT made up my mind for me.

Well that makes one of us.I'll take no One before I'll take a silver One.
I'm really tired of this crap. Last time it took forever to find a white HTC One X, and now the black HTC One is going to take awhile for me to get. If I hadn't just broke the screen on my One X, I guess I could wait, but I really don't want a silver One.
I figure the phone is gonna be in an Otterbox or Seidio case totally covering it anyway, so I'm good to go with silver.

Actually, I managed to pre-order online with my business discount. Now I just have one on my service, not equipment purchases so maybe that's different from what you have. Still glad I managed it though!
As for "Silver" - It'll be in a case anyways so I suppose color doesn't matter much. For the record, I am bummed that the red One isn't available anywhere.
I wanted a black one at first but I just did not want to wait another month or whatever. The silver is not bad and it will going in a case so I can live with it. I hope it doesn't take HTC a month plus to get the black version out.

If you're talking about the special pre-order bonus thing, you may want to make sure that phone is covered before you get your hopes up. Looking at the photos of that thing make me think its probably too old to qualify.

I just called 611 and of course they said they didn't have any black units in stock and they do not know when they will. But he took a preorder for me. $199 for the 32gb. At first he wanted to charge me 299 but after some pushback he is getting a manger to override. (just say that others have told you they have ordered it for 199) I think/hope it'll be faster than Walmart or Costco. So if you want to hold out for black get your preorder in and let's keep our order status in this thread. As soon as I get an email I'll keep you posted with status and all that.

No in fact they messed up the order and I just got off the phone with them again and they replaced the order. They upgraded me to overnight shipping. We will see when it arrives. I would be very satisfied if it showed up before next Friday just hope we can still unlock the bootloader by then.

All I know is they are over -150 orders in and they are just waiting for them to start showing up. If you cut it close get the silver and just trade it before the 14 days. I am hopeful that it will be either tomorrow or early next week.
I have not heard from a single person who has got it...
I've seen it in store as a demo and was offered one today but ended up buying the silver. I'm in Atlanta for your reference.

probably but I'm sure you probably can try to argue that it was suppose to be out the 19th and you had to get the rebate just to see what they said. I just talked to AT&T and it may be better news she said that the preorders and now at -144 so either they started shipping some or people canceled the orders.
I guess I'll call some Best Buys today then... I bet they'd even price match Walmart's $150. I'll also try calling a few corporate stores again today, though I'm sure they're tired of people calling.

I was at best buys yesterday and almost purchased a silver one. They approved the price match with walmart without hesitation. Decided to hold off and wait for the black but it's getting really difficult.

I actually got my silver on the 18th, but no rebate, just the media link streamer. I'm not sure it is worth the extra $35.

Just called them. They do not have the black in stock as I suspected. I doubt there are any black units in stores currently since the AT&T preorders haven't even shipped.

Unless they actually checked the availability right in front of you there's reason to believe them. I've been misled several times already.
I don't follow market trends or tactics but if I had to make a guess. You will see the black show up on the S4 release date.
Additionally, I'm surprised BB matched Wal-Mart. The price match doesn't include wireless phones. At least that is what their policy states.

my BBY said they stopped that practice. And I was trying so hard to wait to see if my Radio Shack was getting it so i could do the $50 Play store card. but they have no info on it. So I called ATT chewed them out and got the silver one for $150 free overnight and no activation fee. Im currently siting by the door lol im so impatient couldn't wait any longer:laugh:
Anyone know? In the launch announcement, but it is in T-Mo and AT&T stores and no word from Big Red. Assuming they are trying to stagger with the Droid Turbo 2 launch, but lack of info is an issue...Would be even more frustrating if we missed the LG 200GB SD + battery/cradle promo because of this.
I called customer service yesterday to do some account maintenance and brought up the phone. The rep had not yet heard of it himself, but started looking immediately. I mentioned that I had signed up for their email notifier through the coming soon page, but that AT&T and T-Mobile had just put it up for pre-order. He found it in their coming soon area as well, but said they had not yet seen a training on the device. I've worked in cell phones for 11 years. Once they get their training the phone is out within a week, if not days. I would be very suprised if VZW didn't accounce by mid-next week, especially with that deal LG is offering. It just makes sense for it to be within that time frame. Also, the G4 was available for pre-order from all carriers about a week before VZW released it. Finger crossed, anyway.
I've been hearing that it'll be tomorrow (10/30/2015).
knowing verizon, they probably want people to miss the promo so people buy memory and batteries direct from VW.

AT&T is releasing theirs on November 6th. If Verizon misses the 15th that would be an absolute disaster. I would absolutely lose my ****. $300 worth of free stuff down the drain.

They will also offer Black.
10/30 according to Verizon rep
Was on the phone with a Verizon rep that was very excited to learn about the phone's existence (LG fan). He spent a few minutes digging around, then got back to me with 10/30 as actual release date - not just pre-order.
I guess VZW is keeping this launch quiet because they don't want it to spoil the Droid Turbo 2 release.
10/30 would be cool....was in Alabama store today and guy said he was looking for something else earlier and computer showed "in stock" but not for sale yet. I just took it with a grain of salt and didn't press, but now seems in line with these other reports. I'm moderately excited about this phone.
I just left the verizon store they go them at 6pm here in Maryland they rep said they will be selling tomorrow
