How do i change where the stock camera stores pictures ,
Well i flashed a chinese rom and now pictures are getting stored in sdcard/照相机 and not the DCIM folder

Why would you want to do that?
If you want your images to go elsewhere, use an app like Folder mount to select the source (default location) to destination (where you want them).

I have same question with jb 4.2 camera, photos goes to sdcard0 and I want them on sdcard1.... I have a moto razr hd with jb 4.1.2

Some aosp based camera apps don't have the option due to aosp removing the external SD from the source code.

If it is not built into the camera then your only option would be to use a 3rd party camera app

Well i flased the nexus 4 camera mod on my xolo q800 which runs a chinese rom (4.2) and the camera stores to sdcard/照相机 instead of sdcard/dcim/camera , the same mod flashed on the stock rom stores pictures in sdcard/dcim
My problemn is that the gallery app does not preview photos as it shows photos in sdcard/dcim
Problem is also there on the stock camera of the rom.
But all cameras work fine in stock rom.
Currently the only method to fix this is to use this > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.venator.app.mediaredirectorpro&hl=en
But i was looking for a native solution

Well my phone stored by default pictures on internal storage. I managed to change this by going to "Settings>Storage" and clicking "SD card" on the "Default Write Disk" setting. It changed the photos destination for the stock camera app to "external_SD/DCIM/Camera". This might help .

Pretty sure you can do it via some xml file, I remember seeing a modified stock launcher somewhere, probably at the arc forums.

This works, but I'm getting Touchwiz FC's which I've never experienced before, so until a fix comes built into the apk, we either have to live without 360 photo's or deal with "side-effects" from changing the prop.build

U have to upload it to Google+ for Sphere view
I can view the 360 degrees photo on my note 2....works so fine so good....

Yes, there is a sphere fixed zip file you can CWM flash. Works fine with me after a Galaxy Nexus build.prop edit.
Although to view the sphere photos properly, you have to upload to G+.

Photosphere works great on mint jelly TW rom! Thanks a lot! Been waiting a while for this!
It's working without any issues on the stock rom without root. The only option that's missing is HDR. But, since stock camera app is still working side by side, that's not an issue anymore but annoyance . Anyway the photosphere also works fine.
So this camera apk is good for non root user on stock rom as well.
Any one having poor video quality? I set it to 1080 p but stays the same on AOKP

When I installed it, it was actually just an apk. But yes you will have two cameras and two gallery's.

Permissions
I just tried installing this on PACMan ROM and it failed. Are there any special steps I have to take to install it? Also, if it runs on CM10.1, then it wouldn't automatically follow that it would run on PACMan, does it?
Edit- Got it work. Had to delete the previous Gallery app, reboot, then install this one. Thanks for the new app! Seems to work better than the old one.

i didi have it loaded and uninstalled it about 10 min later , it seems verry basic to me , not many settings or options at all , and they layout seemed totally weird to me , maybe just cause im not used to it alot but i did find the settings in the camera but as far as 4.2..2 goes it has all the different shooting modes and alot to it , i'm just not understanding what this camera has over stock is all .

It basically allows us to take photosphere images and its the stock camera UI from the S4 Google Play Edition

Thats because aosp doesnt have that function...and the google edition is an aosp experience so the feature doesnt exist
And the reason why its not uncluded in aosp is because there are no nexus devices with an sd slot...they build aosp for nexus devices, not the google edition phones
And im gonna guess the reason the "edit" doesnt work is due to some missing libs...ill look into it
EDIT: Actually able to edit from the camera...so I guess that is no longer a bug?

I would like to change the Music stock app to another player app and make it the default system player. In my phone I use RocketPlayer and I like very much.
Can it be done? I guess I would have to do root ..... that gives me a little fear hehehe

Found this on another forum. Works great for me unrooted no twrp. Just installed APK. Much greater detail in photos in my opinion. I don't know why the first picture, is rotated. That was taken with Google Cam the other with the stock camera

Make a folder called "GCam" with a folder called "Configs7" inside that with the profiles in. In your storage space.

The "7" is because of the GCam Version
With that latest version and config loaded, NightSight no longer crashes the camera app for me. [emoji106]

So are you guys satisfied with Gcam on the 8 for the most part? Does the ultrawide camera work without issues?
I assume RAW on the Ultrawide is still not working due to Oneplus’ limitations, right? Or has some enterprising Gcam dev found a way to get around that?

I don't really use it. It's stable yes, but the color balance is a long ways off what I was used to when I had gCam on my 3T. It's good to have it as an option, but need to try some different Configs before I'll use it for anything important.
