ATT Developer Device Rom - Nokia Lumia 920

Has anyone tried the "ATT Developer Device" Portico Rom? Does/would it have 3g enabled? I have the Build edition Lumia 920, but it bricked during a reset. Not sure if this would be a good rom to use or not. Thanks!

Did you ever try this ROM? I'm curious to see if it allows for tethering.

HI,
Yes, I have AT&T branded 920 and I flash it to dev rom due missing features as sms delivery receipt, 2g/3g/4g switch.

If anyone in US can confirm I'm all over this

I think it is dumb for them to force me to get rid of my unlimited data for this feature considering they throttle you at a certain cap anyway.

Could you please provide where you got the dev rom from and can you enlighten us in regards to whether your device is in fact a developer edition or a plain jane AT&T branded device; thank you!

I downloaded the dev rom through NCS a couple days ago along with a backup of my stock firmware.

HI,
Mine is black AT&T lumia (059L848) and I downloaded via NCS.
I got the product code of dev edition (059R2L5) from this link http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f60...ting-care-suite-download-1660094/#post9434277

So I just tried flashing that version to my black AT&T 920 and it gave me the error Platform ID check fails. Says the FFU file is not meant for this product. Platform ID of image does not match with the platform ID of the device.
Did you flash to any other version prior to going to the dev rom or straight from stock ATT to ATT dev? Perhaps I have to be on an earlier version of the stock ATT rom to do the flash to the current dev rom?

You have to flash to non-portico Rogers rom like RM820_1232.2109.1242.1002 in order to flash your AT&T nokia.

A forum member manage to flash back the AT&T stock rom, but I can find the thread / msg with his steps...there is a app in the store for tethering. It was released last week i think. Did you try installing extra keyboard layout - someone mentioned that this can allows tethering

im flashing to this ROM right now... i was originally in AT&T stock but moved to Rogers pre-portico then jumped to european trying to get to Stock ROM unsuccessfully i ended up with the Mexico ROM and now im Trying this one...
edit - using Developers ROM
- this ROM work perfect to me now... i have all the languages that i wanted to change my phone with, I get LTE as well as before was only 4G
thank you

So for those using the developer ROM, is it worth doing? What's different about it? What's the branding on it?

I don't see the point thus anyone could download them from Nokia Care with navfirm and flash with NCS; it seems to me pretty useless, correct if I'm wrong sir.

incorrect. for somebody that will 'bash' a thread, you sure don't follow them... see here for those that can Introp-Unlock and load a Custom ROM, when they become available.
plus, this ROM doesn't have to be used only for the Nokia Lumia 800. parts of this ROM can be used in other Custom ROMs for other devices. e.g. HTC, Samsung
If I flash this will it magically let me use the 850MHz band on AT&T's network? Currently I don't get very good 3G coverage with just the 1900MHz band.

I know some people can now load custom ROM's, that's right. However they still can be downloaded from NCS. If you want threads for official ROM's to collect them for devs, they'd better make one thread which collects them all...

Radio frequencies can't be unlocked via a software change. frequencies are locked at the hardware level.

No, but it's much easier to find a ROM if they're collected all in 1 thread. If chefs search for something, they'd rather search one thread (and if possible only the first page) to find the ROM, instead of trying to find the thread that has already gone in the crowd because he searches an old or unpopular ROM...
Just some thoughts...

Amber for AT&T Dev devices

HI,
I just check with NCS and found there is an amber update for AT&T dev devices - I'm running it, because has 2g/3g/4g switch, sms receipent notification and other things which I miss badly in prea Amber AT&T stock ROM.
I'm wondering why I don't receive it over OTA.
I'm going to flash my device after few minutes...I'll waste few hours to configure my applications from scratch, but at least they will install automatically

So I did mange to get LTE back on my phone. Though it did take a second flash, and on this run I couldn't connect to cellular data to set up my account and auto-download my apps and settings. So some settings from the Rogers flash must have remained on move back to ATT rom's that a)allowed me to connect to cell network during initial setup b) prevented me from using LTE. I had done a reset after the upgrade to portico on the rogers ROM, flashed to ATT Dev, but still no joy on LTE, reflashed again ATT Dev after a day or two, and seems like all is good.
this may be a really dumb question but can I flash this on a retail att device?

You won't receive it OTA till AT&T adds their garbage to it. Nokia creates the base version then AT&T will add to it and once they are done and happy with the added bloat they will push it. Just becuase Nokia has released it does not mean AT&T has released it. You all have an unfinished ROM if you get this one from Nokia.

I think it is UK, Europe for sure. Unbranded, too.
I actually flashed a C6802 Firmware on my C6833 which took away LTE, but left everything else in tact.
Unfortunately from what I have read the C6802 simply lacks the LTE chip on the SOC so actually there is no way to get LTE.
But feel free to try. If all fails you can still always flash back.

I am battling a different problem at the moment, so cannot try today.
I hope someone has the time to try it out, since from what I understand, C6802 does indeed have same SoC as C6833, which is SD800 MSM8974
There were discussions that 'maybe' the antenna could be different, but my gut feeling says it is the same.

Unbranded does not mean no bloatware. It just means, that it is not a carrier branded version like vodafone or t-mobile, o2 or whatever with their special software installed.
What you want is a vanilla android version for the Xperia Z ultra.
Look in the development forums. Maybe someone is working on this.
With root access you can also delete unwanted apps, though in the newer android versions, you can also disable unwanted apps what essentially freezes them.
lol i don't mean bloatware in that way i am fine with sonys UI its just o2 version has o2 bootup and loadsa of o2 software pre installed and i would like to flash it to the international unbranded carrier free

Normally, Bootloader checks if region code matches before flash.
Could you please explain more about this procedure?

Its not more of the bootloader, but Antirollback. This works perfectly on older LG's like the G2, G3, G Pro, etc.

Looking for v6 bootloader firmware for 965U (at&t)

Anybody have stock at&t firmware for s9+ ? At&t appear to have released it OTA to their phones :

Also need userdata, apparently. I'm new to flashing stock stuff.
I'm going to ask the same question, as I just noticed this release. I'm using an AT&T branded (and locked) S9+ on Cricket, and apparently, I will not be receiving OTA updates... When the files are available, I hope someone posts here. Thanks!
why dont y'all just flash this and be done with it?

Thanks for your suggestion. However, that isn't the official build from AT&T. The Build Number I'm looking for is G965USQS6CSH5.
