never heard of this problem before
*Install stock HTC recovery and do a factory reset(this method works if you have data issues maybe it may work for you)
You could try a free third party widget off the play store. That might solve the problem if going into airplane mode will turn off your data connection.

What happens when you reboot? I think I always had to turn it on after a reboot, so if you want it off that may do the trick!
if that doesnt fix it, wipe cache and dalvik, mine was doing the same a while ago on the same rom
airplane mode. that'll do it.
Nothing has worked for me. gonna flash a new ROM tonight.

Im having a problem when I plug in my headset and then unplug I get a force close and then I lose my service connection / signal. It shows that airplane mode then turns on but even if I turn it off my signal still does not come back. Only thing I can do to get it back is reboot. So I can't listen to music without having to reboot after im done everytime. I am running axura version 2.2.5.9 . Can anyone help??

Make a backup, go back to stock, and reinstall 2.2.5.9. I haven't had any issues with signal dropping except for the occasional boot into airplane mode.
The headset unplugging drop signal was a known issue and was addressed in 2.2.5.6 (I believe).

No. Do you mean as in reinstalling the whole rom? I didn't do anything. Just flashed

I've had data drop on .9 and I don't use headphones. Not sure the cause. I didn't do a clean install (go back to stock first) so I'm not going to say it's the rom.
I have downloaded and flashed the first 3 radios in the bootloader screen(not all at the same time) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045081 then wiped data and cache and i flashed the das bamf 2.0-4.0 rom..but wen it comes to the setup screen i get force closes back to back and i cant connect to wifi and have no 4g,3g,no connection at all. I already tried the airplane mode but doesnt help. Can anyone tell me how i could fix this problem

If you are using 2.0-beta4.01 you need the GB radio at the bottom of the first post in that thread

I really hope this isnt a wide spread thing. I use Google talk heavily. I cant afford for it to disconnect upon my screen timing out. I havent used it since I activated my phone to test though.
Maybe check under the power saver option in settings. There is an option to turn off background data when the screen turns off. Maybe that's it?

I will try that setting out and report back

Just uncheck auto away status and it will stop logging out.

Is anyone else having an issue where google talk won't load for them? I touch the icon and it looks like it loads for a second then flashes back to the app drawer. I tried clearing the application data, didn't help, and of course I can't uninstall/reinstall

Yup, I have to restart the phone to get it working. I also notice that Restart does NOT restart the phone for me. It powers it down.

I have both of those exact same problems. Hopefully, the next software update will fix these issues.
I am having problems with my new Galaxy S3 stock rom,not rooted! XXLFB latest software. My WiFi is randomly turning on and off? Never saw this on any of my phones ever!!! What could be the problem! S3 is International Version 32GB white!
Have you try rebooting or factory reset?

Tried everything and I still have the problem. Really nothing seems to work.
I'm reading about resetting my router, full wipe, your tip,...
Is there anything else left?
You can try reflash the latest firmware using odin.

Have you tried
Settings/more settings/mobile data/automatic connections, make sure the box is not checked.

If you are in the UK, update your modem to LH1 , I had this and lh1 was released to address this problem
Still haven't found a solution. Back to stock rom now and back to samsung for repair i guess.
I have the same issue (stock, unrooted, factory unlocked) and I have the LG8 modem. Only started after the latest OTA update which took me to LG8. It's not my router because I can make a 20 minute Skype call on my wife's iPhone and on this phone it cuts out after a minute or so, every time. Even as I'm typing this, I see the message on my screen telling me I'm reconnecting to my router every couple of minutes. Very frustrating.

Did WORK with ARHD 3.0!!! THX Mine problem solved!!!
I'm still trying to fix mine.
When i'm near my router/modem it can connect and download at slow speed. When I move away I lose connection.
And after a reboot or just when trying to connect from a further distance I get: authentication error occurred.
Even with my open network.
I think it started happening after the installation from the first OTA JB.
Maybe installing this one again could help?

I'v tried every wipe possible. From super wipe to factory reset, double wipe,...
I am on the Jokersax cm10. Have been for months. The wifi was working when I went to bed. I've tried rebooting. I've tried wiping my cache. I've tried reflashing my rom. I didn't change anything wifi related before bed. I've enabled and disabled airplane mode. I've disabled and reenabled wifi. This is a strange one. OH, and it will SCAN and find wifi networks (so the wifi isn't totally bad), but when I try to connect it always goes from "connecting" back to not being connected at all no matter what network I try. Also, the icon never shows up on the notification bar.
The last time I had the same problem I had to reboot the WiFi router.

Ding ding, we have a winner. I'd hoped to avoid doing a total wipe, but that fixed it. Thanks guys.
