Can someone please help me figure out how to make this show up in the market and actually be compatible to where I can play it? I'm tempted to use an old device to buy it and buy some time for.net.to get this working! Its only 10 cents!

Its a tablet only app...
Lies. People are commenting all over about it working on their phone. Just not the sgs2

Plus it works on my old captivate.

Real mature bro.
If thwts the case just take the APk from your captivate and transfer to your gs2
Sorry didn't mean to sound like a jerk. Was just kidding. Anyway I tried that and unfortunately the APK installs just fine but it downloads data post install of APK and it errors. I'm just trying to figure out how an app can't be compatible with this device!

Can the same android app be open in 2 instances on the phone?
Maybe making it think it's a different app?

What benefit would this have if it was even possible?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2
Running 2 game accounts at once to transfer stuff
If my pc was working I'd just have the phone on one and pc on another

I see where your going with this, however on a phone I doubt you could. Phones lack the resources to have two of the same thread running at the same time. I guess in theory it's possible, much like a PC, it would depend on the application and whether it allows for multiple instances of itself to be run, and on the phone, putting both applications into memory and not overwriting each other.
So to answer, I guess it's possible, lol.
Hi Folks,
I have a MK802 Android PC dongle on its way. It has no on/off switch so powers up when it is given juice and is shut down by pulling the cable. This is the same as pulling the battery and is a pretty violent way of doing it.
Is there an app available that does a gentle shutdown and allows Android to clean up before it goes?
If not, would someone like to write one?
BTW, apparently the device comes already rooted.
Many thanks.

i remember a app wich is dealing ur issue but u told us its rooted so why dont u go into a terminal emulator app and shut it down there?

I could but the MK802 is going to be connected to our main TV and my wife is going to be using it too - do I have to say more?
I just need something quick, easy and idiot/blonde proof.
Thanks!

Seing just how awesome and powerful our devices are, could you go using this and only this for a whole month. No computers, tablets nothing. Just this? As a student writing a paper about the use of cell phones in todays world I myself am going to try only using my phone.

I do it all the time. Only reason I use my laptop is if I need to type something long. If I had a bluetooth keyboard I would be set

I basically do that now. I find myself rarely using my laptop...like just now I turned it off and grabbed my phone to surf xda.

Yeah I hardly ever use a computer. Only time I do is like rooting and unlocking this which I believe was the last time I used it. This thing is faster then alot of computers in terms of navigating on the net and some other things. Best thing, its fits n my pocket and is with me all day everyday.

I could probably use the Note 2 as my computer for a month, but I love to play games on my computer and they don't make Skyrim for Android.
Hell no! The PC still has it's place for me.
Only if I can use remote desktop...and if so it would be no sweat.

I do it all the time. Besides the lack of gaming my note II fills the void of a missing pc.

If they could get the full blown versions of the Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection and the Nik Software plugins to work strictly on the Note 2 I would say yes I could even though I won't be getting my Note 2 till this Wednesday(thank you IRS). Other than that I still need my Macbook Pro for work and school.
I'll be brief and to the point, no.
While most of what I do is not compute intensive, I do require lots of screen real estate. Too many things running simultaneously to do what I do.
Some tasks like ripping blu-ray discs to a NAS device simply cannot be done on the phone.

I am currently using the Galaxy Note 2 as the only computer and cord cutting entertainment device. Not by choice, but by necessity.
There is a learning curve in trying to do on this device that I used to do on a computer. Specially with word processing like floating text boxes. But I am doing it all on this Galaxy Note 2.
On the entertainment side of things I only missing a few shows that you can only get on iTunes that I can't get on Android. And I need to get the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub or better yet Galaxy Note II Smart Dock. So I can watch video on a larger screen. But beyond that I get all other videos, music, and gaming I like on this device.
As long as you have enough bandwidth and the right accessories you can use your Galaxy Note 2 as your computer and entertainment center. After all this device is really a computer in your hands.

Will this device replace a computer for everyone? No.
It depends on your lifestyle at the moment. If you are more mobile lifestyle then yes. But if you are someone who rips your CDs or do other things that demand a device that has different compatibilities than PPC devices, then the answer is no.
In order for Android to get to that point there needs to be evolution in technology. Like what happens when you get into your new car with your Android. Your home network needs to recognize your Android. Then allow your Android to wireless connect to a keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, external hard drive, external DVD drive, printer etc for computer work. Allow you to wireless connect to your TV/monitor, home theater center, etc for entertainment purposes. And lastly wireless connect your Android to your home and appliances so your home and appliances can do what you want to them to do.
AllShare Cast Wireless Hub is a good start. But still missing so much in so many areas.
Once we get there, then these devices can become the only device you ever need.

For me the N2 has come closer than other device I have owned to be a suitable replacement for my laptop. I even gave my Motorola Xoom to my daughter as I find I have more functionality and enjoy using the N2 more than either device. So to answer the question of survival........I'm not there just yet. Using Word and Excel software on any Android device is still a challenge for me and as I use these program on a daily basis I would unfortunately not survive very long.

Outside of work, this has basically replaced my computer. I rarely if ever turn on my computer at home. My IPod has been put away, something I couldn't do with my Droid X as music/radio would kill my battery.
However for work purposes, I have to use both Macs and PCs and I don't see that ever changing due to the machines/software I need for my job.

Could we use it to remote access a computer?
Hey guys, coming from my jailbreak iPhone, this is really different for me.
I was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me how to download/save video you watch in certain apps like Facebook for example
