[Q] Regarding WhatsApp messenger (Show Last seen for only some people) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I want to make "last seen at" in whatsapp to be hidden from few contacts not for all. How can I do it? Is there any app (free or paid)? Or can I edit some code of whatsapp? If so How?
I know there are many apps to hide Whatsapp last seen feature but none for the one I am asking for. Please suggest your ideas & suggestions.

[Q] Whatsapp Notification

Hello,
I searched in the topics but couldnt find a similar thread.
Is it possible to have Whatsapp notifications on the SGS 3 (android) like on the iphone?
So see all messages from contacts , instead of just showing a notification like :
4 new messages from 2 contacts?
bump
I think you'll have to contact the developers if you want this feature. It's something Whatsapp has chosen to do.

[Q] Method hooking - or: how to get other apps data

Hi there, Android newbie here
I just came across this WhatsApp widget for Root which is able to display recent messages. I was wondering how the developers managed to get the data from WhatsApp.
As of now, I can think of three possible ways:
a) The widget refreshes its contents whenever it detects activity on the WhatsApp message database.
b) The widget "hooks" methods that get called in one of WhatsApps activities when new messages arrive and mirrors the messages into its own database.
c) The widget listens for push messages with the WhatsApp signature or listens for traffic between WhatsApp and their servers.
I use the termin "hooking" because of the way iOS tweaks are written, I have no idea if this is possible on Android. Which way is more likely? Any suggestions are appreciated
Let me elaborate on the background of my question: I noticed that WhatsApp groups new messages as a single item in the notification window. I'm thinking about selling my iPhone and getting an Android phone, but I would like to have a preview of all incoming messages like iOS's notification center.
Hmm... anyone? is this the wrong board?

Question How to read WhatsApp group chat without showing it as 'red'?

In a WhatsApp group chat, is there anyway to read messages in a group chat without having the sender get the read receipt? How can I read messages in a group chat without showing the sender I have red their message?
As a partial solution, you can see the most recent one from the the notification bar. Viewing it there doesn't mark it as read.
If you turn Read receipts (settings/privacy) off, people will not see that you have read messages, but you will also not see when they read yours. It (seeing the blue checks) only works when both/all parties have it enabled.
So if you have it on, but I don't, then neither of us will see read receipts in our conversation.

Yes of course there're some ways you can do this, but remember without launch the app:
One is add a WhatsApp widget to your homescreen and stretch it to the maximum. You'll see all what is happening in your WhatsApp without launching it, unless you choose to do so. This way is limited, as too long messages are not shown fully.
Another option is to use third party apps like "notification widget" app which shows you everything there. Likewise if you use "good lock" and it's modules, there's "notistar" in it. This module allows you to see and even copy messages in WhatsApp while on your Lockscreen, I mean without unlocking the phone or launching the app. This is amazing! I like it.
NOTE: All these will show you text and sticker previews from the WhatsApp . I haven't found any app or option that shows images or videos in this way. Should anyone know it, please share.

Is there a way to set the "notification widget" app to only show WhatsApp messages?
