Hi,
I just got my GS2 1 week ago and now am in big trouble :-(
I just dropped the S2 from my pocket while taking it out.
Now the screen is cracked (top Screen)
Everything else is working AMOLED display is also working fine.
I took it to a customer care and they said they need to replace both the top screen and AMOLED screen since they come as a piece and asked me 150 $
WHat do u guys think ???
will it cost that much ??
Please guide me on this :-(
i will post some images as soon as possible.
FYI : Only the top screen is cracked near to the BACK Capacitive button and the crack goes upto the middle of screen .
$150 sounds right. Take a look at this thread:

Ya both have to be replaced, there fused together.
Sent from Samsung Galaxy S2 on TELUS.
I dropped my galaxy S2 and the screen flickered and went black and started vibrating. I've bought a new lcd replacement, but after some thought I'm wondering if thats the problem. What do you guys think?
Without looking at it/being there with you, how would we know ? If you're not confident replacing it yourself, pay a local mobile repair shop to do it. Obviously given you've already bought the LCD, you'll only have to pay for labour.
What I think is to temporary attach the new screen and have a look.
A guy shows you what to do in the 29 minute video on you tube.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I've fixed lots of phone before, replacing screens so its not a problem. I was just wondering dose it sound like the screens dead when it vibrate's constant when trying to turn it on, or could it be the board. I'm just thinking all this after ordering the screen lol
Hi all,
I have my S5830i galaxy ace with broken screen digitizer.A friend of mine has fully bricked galaxy ace S5830... so I was wondering if I could take his front panel(digitizer+screen) and put it on my S5830i.Are the connectors same ? will it fit onto motherboard of my phone? thank you in advance (I cant take his digitizer because it's glued to metal front panel so I would probably broke it while attempting to lift it.My only option is to take whole panel)

Take it to someone who repairs mobile, he might do it, cause I've seen some people changing displays, even using Chinese display on Samsung mobiles ......
so I got this phone a few months back and went to plug it in went for a leak and when i came back the screen had cracked from the port upwards
samsung says its out of warranty (douchebags) so i have to fix it myself because id rather not pay them to do it it feels liek im getting ripped off.
any way the top section looks fine not a scratch its sort of underneath if that makes sense like its a second screen
i tap the screen but it makes no sound
judging from it as you all seem to be in the know here do i need
"NEW Replacement Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly For Samsung Galaxy i9300 Siii S3 L710 White"
or do i have to get
"White Full LCD Display + Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly For Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300-VeryDeal "
both of these are for sale on amazon i was going to post links but i cant cause im a new member
also i dont know if it is relevant but i have the international version of the s3 in white
i have took a few quick pics (bad quality but you can sort of see whats up with it) just incase it helps
i didnt get insurance sadly but i hope someone can help me get this working even if i can just do some kind of temporary quick fix till i get the cash to buy the new screen
thanks
Hello, hopefully I'm posting this in the right forum. I just purchased a used Samsung S5 Active that was clearly a retail display unit, as the S5 Active retail display screen is burned into the display. Would anyone happen to have a screenshot or picture of the retail screen? I would like to use it to try and remove the burn in. Thanks in advance.
