[Q][SOLVED]Dpi change - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello flashers ! Is there a sammy based rom that has the option to change dpi ?

if you are rooted, you can flash Xposed framework + appsettings
follow the instructions and you would be able to set per app dpi.
you can also try Vanilla RootBox which has xposed in it.

Thanks for ur time and effort . does xposed framework work on sammy roms like neatrom ?
Actually I'm rooted and im tuning the latest PAC ROM but i wanted to know if this feature can be done on stock based roms

Simply edit your built.prop, that's it, search for this line and alter the value:

There are also tools out there like built.prop editor.
You might install a multi dpi enabled market afterwards.

Hey, Chameleon ROM is sammy based with the look, feel and features of AOSP. Whats great is it has the performance and stability of stock with the multi DPI friendly AOSP apps etc

I tried that but some apps like the browser crash because of the framework incompatibility ...:thumbup:

Unfortunately if you want Sammy touchqiz you won't ever have a complete experience with any DPI other than stock 240. There is just so much modification to be done and even then the results are patchy

Then install xposed installer..
Go to app settings under xposed installer ..
Change the DPI of touchwiz to 240..
Reboot.

Will all The apps work normally ? Actually the stock value is 240 i want to lower it to like 210 without framework issues

If you change DPI to 210 by editing build. pro, everything will work except stock browser ..
That's the reason I suggested you to use xposed too..
Using that you change the stock DPI to 240..hope you know to use xposed installer

RootBox recently changed to hybrid settings. It's really easy to use and the app colour is really cool. It just isn't going to be touchwiz. I'd recommend giving it a try though, you might like it

Ok so I installed xposed and downloaded appsetings but it doesn't show up in the modules tab on Xposed !??

Do as I say..
Get busy box from playstore..
Open busy box and choose install at the bottom..
Then download xposed installer and app settings from somewhere..
Go to xposed installer and select install update..
Then reboot..
Again go to xposed /module and tick app settings..
And go ahead... do the changes
After making all the changes, reboot.
Done!!!

Why not just install rootbox and you can change individual apps with the hybrid settings.
