which makes it possible to have chat heads for whatsapp and sms and so on?
i mean chat heads like the one of the new facebook messenger

That's a good app, but it doesn't allow one to reply as the Facebook chat Heads do..
It just opens the respective application.
anyone have the apk for this it has been pulled from the play store.

I had this app on my mobile that meant when I sent a text it looked like an instant message and I really liked it although it came with a terrible contacts application.
Is there anyway I can simply have the Instant Messaging SMS service without the custom contacts app?
If so, please can you direct me to it or a download link or whatever!

I have searched high and low and can't find an answer.
I would like to receive an android notification in the status bar when someone likes or comments on my Facebook statuses but the official apparently only supports noticications for messages, event invitations and friend requests it seems and wont notify me when someones likes or comments. How do I go about doing this?

Hello folks,
I'm looking for an email app with really persistent notifications, that is: instead of the single tone/vibrate notification when a new email arrives, I need it to keep notifying me periodically (say, once per minute) until I open the app and read the email, or at least clear it from the notification shade.
Can anyone recommend an email app that does that, or an addon/plugin/extra app that accomplishes the same thing?

MissedMessageFlasher (plus K9-Mail configured to the specific email account I need monitored) is exactly what I was looking for.

I am playing about with Hangouts, nd have set it as my default SMS app.
I have a group contact on my phone called "Team". I would like to send a message to everyone in Team through Hangouts. However it doesn't appear in the contact list?
I was able to do this with stock app.
Running CM11.

You can try to add them to a Google + circle and then you can group message them.
Every Android user is having a Google account so it would be easy to just hangout a circle.

Ok I was able to add everyone to a circle called "Team". BUT not everyone is an android user, I had to add some people via email address.
When I open Hangouts and try to send a SMS to this circle, it is creating a hangout. It doesn't appear to be using SMS? There is no "SMS" in the bottom left of the screen beside where you type your message. How do I know if it will text everyone?

Let everyone make a Google Plus account and use hangouts in it's original way hehhe

I have been searching for a way to group my contacts and be able to use them in multiple apps.
For example, I would like to be able to text, mail, messenger app (facebook) buddies in groups just in a few taps.
I have a galax s5 and mailen, texting groups is possible when making group in contacts app. I would also like to use the same groups in messenger (facebook), viber...
Does anyone know an app wo can join all these platforms. I realize that this is probably not possible with an app, maybe a custom rom?
