I would like to do this:
I have a scale connected to my android device in hotspot mode, i want be able to talk to the scale from a PC by internet.
I tried to configure my phone as a proxy server with forwarding (using Server UI) but it didn't work...

i have problems with my vpn connection over a wlan-device on my mda2. (pocketpc 2003)
For network understanding:
The wlandevice gets an ip in a privat class network where i can reach the vpn-gateway.
The vpn-gateways give me an external ip and gateway.
I can connect to the vpn and i get a corret connect which i can use with for example icq, ping-tools, avantgo and something else.
But if i open internetexplorer or email and enter a url the internetexplorer drop down the vpn connection.
I think this is a problem with the automatic methods from internetexplorer to open an gsm, gprs connection when you enter something. I don´t want to use these automatic dialup´s.
Can anyone tell me how to deaktivate the automatic dialing?

now i want to buy new cell phone and need to access internet with proxy.
So if hero can configure proxy i will buy it.
I'm currently using Proxydroid and it works great in my office corporate wi-fi network, all my apps can access the internet and I have no problems. However, when I set it up for my school wi-fi proxy, it doesn't work.
My school's wi-fi proxy has authentication but the actual network is not protected, my office wi-fi proxy is the other way around, the proxy does not need authentication but the network is WPA Enterprise protected.
I'm running CM9 with a nightly build. I tried setting up the proxy directly in the wifi settings and when I do it and browse through CM9's browser, I input my username and password and I can browse the internet fine, but only through the browser. My other apps can't access the internet.
Help?

My Galaxy i777 using CyanogenMod 10.1, is able to connect to a network behind a proxy server, web browsing is working fine, but apps such as whatsapp, facebook, google play, etc . are not working or in better words, are not going through the proxy.
i tested differents proxy apps, but is not working (Proxy droid and AutoProxy ).
**Proxy droid has an option that you can add apps to a filter that is supposed to make the apps going through the proxy.
**AutoProxy has an option that you can add differents ports in order to pass it through the proxy.
is there anyway to use the same proxy server for all protocols ? is an option that windows uses in order to run apps through proxy.

My Samsung S4 has been experiencing the problem of "Unable to connect to the proxy server" after updrade to Android 4.3, all the apps need network (HTTP) are not working, no matter
using 4G or Wifi connection. For apps which does not require HTTP connection such as Whatsapp or Google Search which is ok.
I have double checked the Proxy setting in my Wifi Setting, which is set to none, so are there anything I have missed or misconfigured?
