[Q] Build from Source Error - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i'm currently trying to build my own Rom from CM Sources, but it failes because there is no "/home/lets_zock/android/system/out/target/product/mako/system/vendor/firmware/keymaster/keymaster.b00" I just don't get what's going on. I deleted everything an tried a new download, but I still get the Error. Can some one help me?

[Q] Building CM7 from source for IncS... obscure build error, can anyone help?

I am trying to build CM7 from the IncS and I was hoping it would be a fairly simple start as koush has already ported ClockworkMod, so the proprietary files are already in the repo.
I tried building but I can't make head nor tail of the output, can anyone help?

believe that I have one of my developers that has done this and can help you through the process if you'd like.
check the signature for the links or feel free to email me.
Missing Prop files
your error on line 205 means you are missing a prop file the files online are you are looking at are for the inc not incs.
https://github.com/koush/proprietary_vendor_htc
You could try using those prop files but to better pull the file via adb don't be suprised if you have to do this several times. good luck

[Q] To all Dev's who would help... Compiling Kernel error

Hey Guys,
i don't know, if someone other than me have had this error in the past. I searched on Google and on XDA, but I didn't found something compairing to my Error.
I'm new to kernel compiling, so I don't have some information...please don't hit me that I'm doind something like this as my first time ! I want to learn how a kernel is going to be compiled. And as extra kick, it would be great if i can make my custom kernel for just my needs on my SE 2010 X10 Mini Pro
I read slade_87's Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382917
I did all, setting up the Environment. Because of my slow Internet Connection, iI don't want to download the whole Android source, so I'm using this Toolchain https://sourcery.mentor.com/sgpp/lite/arm/portal/subscription3053. I'm doind all in a virtual Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32bit in Vmware player 3.1.4 build-385536.
I copied the standart config from /arch/arm/configs/semc_mimmi/defconfig to .config, like in the Turtorial. I also made "ARCH=arm make menuconfig", no Problem. I didn't change anythine, because I thought I could make a mistake in the config, i just wanted to build the original source, to see if I can get this to work for some Experiments.
The Problem is when I'm executing the compile-command itself. When I'm entering "ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/home/android/kernel/arm-cc/bin/arm-none-eabi- make". After some lines....2-5 seconds or so.... i keep getting the error on the last few line in my attachment. I tried the cyanogenmod-kernel source, diffrent kernel source file from SE but i keep getting the same error, not on the same line, but always in linux/include/pagemap.h
I'm not so good in C, I'm some kind of BASIC junkie so i'm having quite a horror with C. But i thought, the Devs here, slade_87/doxian/D4rKn3sSyS/paul-xxx, don't have such simple errors, or they do know a way, how to get through this.
Could someone look at this ? Do you know a way of direction, where the error is coming ? I think, because it's always the same with different kernel source files, the errors on my side... but i can't think of any....
Thanks in Advance,
Lost Prophet

(Q) Modules for Wifi

Maybe this is a easy solvable problem, but i tried and googled and could solve it. So...
Im trying to compile a wifi module for evervolv kernel...i have the source, also toolchain. Im using ubuntu, and i have problems extracting toolchains path to kernel directory.I have all necessery tools.
Filesystem->android->toolchain folder and kernel source folder -- this is the location of my files (computer name is AcaPC).
And im using this *export PATH=$HOME/android/toolchain-4.6.3/bin:$PATH* (i tried AcaPC for HOME), but im getting error that my path is not correct. I download the source many times and tried everything, but cant get the path correct. Can someone tell me what am i doing wrong?

[Help] (Status7) error with cm 10.1 builds

Hello, I've seen this is a common problem, however the big problem is I'm the one building the rom (cm 10.1) and for some reason every build can't be flashed and says:
Code:
script aborted (no error message)E
:Error in /...(zip's name)
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I've built successfully previously on a Virtual Box and then did dual boot on external hdd and downloaded source, set build enviroment, etc... on the dual booted OS but for some reason each build is giving that problem. I even tried to set the device tree almost as the first commit to see if something happens but nothing worked:crying:
Device is samsung galaxy music. Already tried using the new cwm recovery from the out folder but didn't worked

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me, I builded cm 10.1 for my galaxy music inside a vbox that flashed successfully on my phone but the perfomance was really slow on the vbox so made instead a dual boot with an external hard drive to take less time doing the builds, but now, all the cm 10.1 builds I make now on the dual booted os gives that error 7 and I don't know why and I already deleted the vbox
i also faced this issue many times, and later i managed to pull the recovery.log and found that zip is corrupted while transferring to sdcard...
so after that i use sideload to install any zip with ease....
Well... after all the problem was in the BoardConfig.mk , so this commit fixed it, thanks for the answers.
So I think this thread can be closed

{Xperia SP}[Help!!!] Ubuntu Touch Porting

Hi, I am new here at XDA so excuse me if this is posted in the wrong category.
I have a couple of questions if someone could help me with the Ubuntu Touch porting.
I got up to "Retrieving the proprietary blobs from Android" and I have encountered a problem.
I am running Cyanogenmod 11.0 nightly build on a Sony Xperia SP huashan, I connected my phone to my computer and made sure that adb detected it (it did) and everything looked fine until I started the extract-files.sh in my /Desktop/Ubuntu Touch/device/sony/huashan/ folder.
After I started up the file in terminal, I received the error of "no such file or directory".
If you want to view the file it is in a github repository under Cyanogenmod/android_device_sony_huashan
If anyone knows how to fix that would be a big help so I could continue porting,
Thanks.
Hi!
I have a similar device too. Did you solve the problem?
