Hi,
I tried many times to mount external sd with ums. Today I have done this.
You need:
-adb drivers and adb installed
-this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rafoid.multimountsdcard.widget.free
How Have I done this?:
1. Install app from Google Play
2. Connect L9 with adb and mtp enabled
3. Type in adb shell:
Code:
su
setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage,adb
3. Open app
4. Tick MTP fix
5. Select to mount only secondary card (external)
6. Set widget in launcher
7. Click on widget
8. UMS mounted!
I'm planning to do app to easier mount, but Now I'm working on new rom
Is possible to mount also internal sd?
And what if I have sd's swapped?
Thanks
EDIT: tried and it doesn't work for me, maybe becuse I have sdcard's swapped.
I can't select to mount only secondary card, this option is grayed out.
You can't mountvinternal because it's shared with dara, but you can try to mount (after swap) using mount first partition.

waiting for your rom
Disabling the media scanner won't work. Requires root, right?
can we do this without a PC via Terminal Emulator?

If you have access to recovery you can mount the sd card inside the recovery and transfer files from your pc.

I can only get MTP to work on Windows 7, installed LG drivers, tried all USB modes.
How can I connect the device as simple external storage device?
BTW rooted and unlocked, The Base 0.7.3

i am on a Mac and could'nt get it either, but I used "Android File Transfer", It worked for Mac I think they have it for windows also.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think its possible with stock ROM, not even sure if current crop of custom ROMs supports it.
Yeah I'm pretty sure mtp is the only officially supported mode of transfer. Unless of course there's a third party app that does the trick, or if its a kernel thing.

Yes, USB Mass Storage is not supported on this device. The problem with USB mass storage is that you have to unmount sdcard in phone to allow mounting it on your PC.
Internal sdcard(/sdcard) on this device is actually located in /data partition (/data/media/0) and is emulated as /sdcard so it cannot be shared with PC using USB Mass Storage protocol.

UMS 100% works on our phones just install any terminal emulator from the Google Play Store. I spent a long time with everyone not having a single clue.
SIMPLY TYPE THE BELOW TEXT IN TERMINAL EMULATOR AND YOUR GOLDEN... UMS works great but has some issues, though the issues are more with the phone than UMS. It also ONLY works on External MicroSD cards.
su
setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage,adb
Just a nano bump from above edited post. It's works just fine with UMS. I found though MTP seemed to be the proper option. Because of the insanity partition configuration on this phone UMS just didn't suit too well with roms and what not.
Hi,
I want to mount my sdcard to the PC and to the phone in one time, but i want to do it by the adb shell script.
Dual mount SD and similiar apps works well, but i think that script+tasker will make it better.
And there is my question, what ADB commands i must type to do that ?
what i must mount to what ?
i tried mounting /dev/block/mmnclk0p1 to some places and /dev/block/vold/179:1 but it dont work
I think that think might be usefull, because we can add this script to init.d and always have access to our SD cards from pc, when we plug in the phone.
Im on P.A.C. 4.3 Neo V ( haida) based on cm 10.2
Sorry for my bad english, still learning...
SO I was trying to flash Archidroid rom on my phone, had the zip in my internal memory. Installed Team Win Recovery project like recommended and wiped everything before installing like recommended but I forgot it would also wipe the rom.
So now Im left with no OS on my phone and only TWR to work with... I dont have a micro sd reader so that's a huge headache, bought a usb OTG cable to try and flash the rom through a pen drive but for some reason Team Win Recovery is not recognizing my OTG usb despite my pendrive light being on. So I have no phone and no means to flash a new rom.
Please help me, what do I do? Is there anything I could do to get otg to work? Can't afford to buy a card reader at the moment.
I'm not sure but i think u can mount the internal memory or the SD using normal USB cable to the computer, then copy the zip file.

I already tried that, my computer doesn't recognize my phone. It worked when I had android installed obviously but not now. Do I need any special driver or anything?
Hello,
If you can't install a custom rom you can install an official one with Odin. Search on google for tutorials. Good luck.

I haven't used twrp 'cause i'm on philztouch, but isn't there any option to mount the internal memory or the sd card to the computer? If not, u either need to copy the file to the sd using another phone or camera, or use Odin to go back to default system.

on my tablet , microsd card is mounted as storage/usb0 device
how to unmount it ? I can't find any device manager or unmount command to unmount this device
You say tablet, here in the OS for PC section? I don't have it on a PC but from their file manager there is an "eject" like icon near the drives title. If it's there that should unmount it.
