so what ROM in general do you think iss the best? IE: fastest and most perty.
and what is the best Sense 4 ROM?
im runing SebastianFM kernel, so i would like it to be compatible with that or the cubed kernel. eaither one
My personal preferences:
Smoothest 3.6 Rom: Vigor360
Most stable sense 4 Rom, Vexxum
If you can't live without the tweaks app, then innefabilis for 3.6 and VenomRom for sense 4.
All of those are compatible with the appropriate DSB kernel version

hmmmm nice! im getting tired of sense 3.6 mainly.... but i like sense. so ya lol but i also like those 2 kernels a lot. cubed will be cool as soon as those problems get worked out.
is there and offical JB with sense 4 or higher out yet? or a better q will be "will there be an offical one out"?
No JB with sense for as far as I know. Will we get one in the future, I'm not sure what the devs would need to make one.

i wonder if htc & verizon are gonna push it out to thr rezound..... i heard JB was insanely fast!
something tells me CM9's smoothness is going to be the same as any jellybean rom
everything has been pretty much instantaneous (considering the animations are off)
there is newt's latest endeavor, sense 4.5; fast and smooth but probably a few more kinks to poke out
i've personally been using neo's rage rom ^^
What instability's do the AOSP roms have? Is everything working ok.
Just try the ROMs out. It's the best way to know, and it encourages our devs when they have a lot of downloads and interest in their threads. It keeps the development community alive, and us enriched as a result. Everybody's preferences, phones, and outcomes are different. They're all pretty great, and none of them are duds.

Working pretty good, random sparse reboots, and occasional crashes.
I recommended neos rage rom. Its aosp and is so fast and smooth

I agree since it's only has a few noticeable differences and features. double speed would be like android 5.x assuming compatibility and handful of other variables
I had been using neomax 2.0, the I tried neo's rage and liked it, then I tried neo's aokp and it's the best thing ever. So many customization options and I haven't had any major issues. Super fast.
Sent from my HTC Rezound using xda app-developers app
AOKP is awesome and fast as hell, but its kind of unstable. CM9 is a little better. Sense ROMs can't match the speed and the level of customization that AOSP ROMs have.

I'm pretty sure nilsp and venom will work but why pick a Rom just because you want a specific kernel ?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I just rooted my phone recently and I've been very happy with neo's aokp rom.
i winded up flashing nil's.....
because i LOVE this kernel!!!
I'm looking for the best aokp or aosp Rom I can find but I can't find one that doesn't slow down after maybe an hour of using it.. any suggestions?

I'm a little partial to CounterShrike myself, but maybe I'm not the most objective person. Apophis and I have spent a lot of time packing as many features, enhancements, and bugfixes into as we can. It's not as feature packed as AOKP, but it's steps above stock CM9, and I haven't had any stability issues with it.
I have to agree with shrike. I've been running project rachel (1.2) since it came out and it has just the right amount of customization options while still keeping it pretty stock AOSP. I've had no random reboots and it actually holds mobile data much longer until an airplane toggle is needed than other aosp/aokps I tried.
I just haven't gotten around to updating to 2.0 as there aren't many imperative updates (afaik)
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Thanks I'm on aokp right now.. I'm still trying to decide between aosp or sense
Sent from my HTC Rezound using xda premium
AOKP has stability issues on this phone. I've never gotten it to run well. Any of the CM9 based builds should be much more stable. You'll lose some customization options, but the stability is worth it to me.
I'm tempted to go to stock rooted.. everything works.. I can't get video to work on joelz viperrom and countershrike has some underlying issues I don't like
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
What issues are you having? I've squashed all the bugs I know about, except the ones that are in AOSP in general.

I like Touchwiz but hate the look so Beans is my goto. Themed but with all the functionality of Touchwiz that AOSP lacks. Smooth as hell and the battery life is amazing on the Perseus kernel (7 hours of screen on time on average.).
Runs well as a daily driver. Honestly, I can't see myself ever using AOSP on this Note 2. The one reason I used it in the past was because of how much smoother it was than whatever manufacturer skin my phone came with but that isn't the case now. Touchwiz is extremely well optimized, has great battery life and is smooth as butter.
btw mine is Beans 7.

when I first flashed beans and had the AOSP lock screen and idk what happened but it didn't let me unlock my phone. So I had to reinstall the rom to fix that but instead of that I installed the Clean Rom ace I had it for a couple of days and I didn't like it. maybe because I don't like the stock-looking that clean rom has.

CleanRom ACE for me
I've tried Beans 7 and while its a great rom its still based on Verizon official 4.1.1 ota software whereas CleanRom is based on the latest international build 4.1.2. which I feel are more cutting edge.
As much as I liked some of the cool features on touchjizz and the S-Pen I had to unlock and put Sbrissens CM10.1 on here... I needed real life functionality and customization as well as a stripped down (read: not bloated) ROM, this does it perfectly at the expense of some cool but unnecessary features IMO

It still works as a stylus on CM 10.1, but you won't have any of the button gestures or Samsung apps like SNote.
CleanROM was my choice until Paranoid Android was ported over. PA has been my favorite rom, even on my Galaxy Nexus. I just hope when 3.0 comes around, the Note 2 will officially be supported and they will allow for my UI customization, kinda like AOKP

yes beans touchwiz rom...its not with touchwiz, its touchwiz based off of stock vraljb. i like the theme he has integrated into the rom. clean rom is just debloated stock with a few tweaks, nothing special imo. fyi im still on build 2...i dont even mess with flashing anything on this device as it usually is a downgrade. the n2 is rock solid out of the box and and beans adds just the right amount of enhancements.

Tried Newt , NOS and Hatka.
Newt is most feature rich,.
NOS seems to be the most fluid, fastest and probably most compatible.
Hatka has some tweaks (battery mods, built in toggles) and the one sense 5 Rom i keep as a backup.
They are all nearly clones of each other though. They are all about blink feed which is the nicest of all the feeders like Flipboard and feedly. I do miss it sometimes as it is the best newsfeed aggregator out there by a long shot.
I had problems with newt's rom. now on hatka supreme and it's amazing.

lol. thought the M7 was Newt. I meant the digital dream rom.
I had problems installing Hatka supreme at first because of all the options in Aroma. I like to de-sense a little bit and remove apps that that I will never use, The problem is that I kept getting weird FCs and other odd behavior until I just did a straight install of everything. Since then running smooth. nos seemed to burn too much battery for me too.
Only bad thing about new NOS is battery life
Is there a way to customize the dock icons on Sense5?
Hey..just looking for opinions on what you guys think is the most stable and effective rom? I have been flashing sense 5 roms and cm.10 aosp roms. I prefer cm.10 i just cannot handle the bugs right now or things half working. So im just wondering what your opinions are for the most stable rom with great battery life would be? At least until all the bugs are worked out in other roms...
Oh and i have the dna w/ s-off, currently running viper. Not getting good battery life and getting many force closes with several apps

Bring on the comments please. Moonshine S-Off for me soon, Hopefully.
One of the Sense based ROM's will be the most stable and fully functional. If you want to venture out more then there are several AOSP based roms that are at about 95% functional.
Viper and newts sense 5 are generally considered the 'best' roms.

Was Newts Sense5 Rom not working out for you? I found that to be the most stable.
PAC rom by pio. Best features, no ugly sense framework.
I used to run Newt's Sense 5 rom. That, coupled with Zarbos' kernel (badass governor I think?) was very stable and had great battery life.
As of right now I'm running Flyhalf's CM 10.1 rom. No issues so far, but according to the thread some people are having random issues.
I gotta say Viper.lots of tweeks and customization and super stable!
Good Question. I plan on flashing Newt.s Sense 5 ROM when we get Moonshine but I;d prefer CM10.1.
The thing is I've read photos taken with CM are noticeably worst than Sense on the One, plus I played with it on a Note 2 and noticed that and the screen looked much worst. Can anyone say how CM stacks up in those areas?
I'm running Hatka Supreme Sense 5 rom. Seems to have the best balance of stability, speed and customization. Also battery life is great.
Just ran CM10 for the weekend to weigh it. Only real complaint was Bluetooth quality, which was a killer for me . Back on viper.
