I have looked thru the threads for the different 4.1.2 roms and could not find an answer. Is there a way to turn on the nav bar and turn off the cap buttons?

The Galaxy S notification bar is awesome with some function toogle such as wifi and silent mode.
Is it possible to port the notification bar to Nexus One?
Cheers!
And we all know that the notification bar is where these toggles belong!!! I second this!
No more power control widget :>
Would be a great feature to see appear in Cyanogen roms
The problem with that is once you start at wifi toggle, bt toggle someone will want something else and eventually you will end up with clutter in the Notification Bar. Its a Notification Bar, not a Settings Bar. I just use Quickdesk with long press on search. Each to their own I guess.
Speaking of clutter, this should prob go in the Apps n Themes thread.
I imagine it is possible since Samsung released the Galaxy S source. The app "Tasker" can accomplish something similar to this in the meantime.
Searched around to no avail... Here is background:
CM7-7-09272011-NIGHTLY-Fascinate (no mods)
Build: GRJ90
Kernel: 263512-g52fdd0ajt1334ubuntu#1
Issue: On the home screen, I have no status bar. Instead I have the four dot **** display showing which screen I am on. Pulling down from the top does not reveal the status bar either. The only way that I can access it is via the "open/close" widget. I have looked through all the CM7 settings menu and found nothing... How can I get the status bar back.
Thanks.
ADWLauncher->Screen Preferences->Hide Statusbar
So I was trying to find ways to get Soft keys So I tried the whole
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 It worked But then decided it was taking up to much screen space
So I removed that line from Build.prop or whatever... So after that my notification bar has dissappeared and I cant pull the Notification bar down
So now I dont have a notifications bar anymore...
By the way Im Using A Huawei G312 U8681 on 4.0.3 and its rooted of course... Stock 4.0.3 rom.
Hello everybody,
I've just recently dived into the land of rooting and decided to run CM 10.1 on my samsung GT-P7510. It runs just fine on it's own. I haven't had any problems with CM, but as soon as I install GAPPS my navigation bar with the back button, home button, and recently used button disappears. I tried searching around in settings for a way to edit the navigation bar. I found a section for it and it had a lock button at the top right. It said it was locked and the screen explained how I could customize the navigation bar. When the little lock was locked my navigation bar was not visible, but as soon as I would unlock it I could see the navigation bar and edit it. Unfortunately it couldn't stay unlocked so as soon as I changed the screen it would go away again. I also read something about expanded desktop sometimes blocking the navigation bar so I played around with that setting and it didn't do anything either.
I'm running this version of CM: cm-10.1-20131208-NIGHTLY-p4wifi
I have this version of GAPPS: gapps-jb-20130812-signed
I'm really unfamiliar with tablets in general, but it seems like the only way I can navigate my tablet is with that navigation bar.
I would really appreciate some help.
hello OP, dont know if you found the answer but its quite simple. Just restart the tablet and follow (until the end) the initial setup questions.
after that, the nav bar will show up.
I am using the T-820 Tweaked Rom and was wondering if there is a way to enable the on screen nav bar. I have tried turning on the option in GravityBox, but it does not work.
Not quite what you are after, but I use
