Hi,
I have been looking for a solution to my problem but I couldn't find any, anywhere, here included; hopefully someone can help me out.
I have an HTC One X+ 64GB International version which I unlocked via the HTC website, rooted and flashed Android Revolution HD.
Today, after a long while, I decided to try a different rom but somehow I totally screwed up (and I can't remember the exact steps) and now my HTC is stuck on the bootloader. I tried to flash different kernel for different roms (Sense and aosp) and flashed those roms.
No luck. I am successful in flashing a kernel and a recovery but every time I try to flash a rom (IceColdJelly, Android Revolution) it fails miserably.
So, now my HTC is stuck on the bootloader and I can't seem to be able to do anything to get it to work again.
Anyone can help with a step-by-step solution? I can provide more info if needed.
Here's what the bootloader screen presents:

Thank you in advance for any help.
1) This is your section, try to write here.
2) The rom that you tried to flash was compatible with your hboot?
3) Did you flash the boot.img after the flash of rom? (you can found the boot.img in the zip of rom)
4) You can boot in recovery?
I will try that section, thank you.
I used the same hboot that came with the rom, I can boot to regular boot loader and custom recovery (latest TWRP). Custom recovery apparently cannot access SDCARD.
Lol isn't this the HTC one x section? Not the one x+. Don't even try flash ROMs from here

No, I only used boot and rom compatible with my device type; again, i am aware that I just posted in the wrong section and I already posted the problem in the appropriate section. Thank you.

You need to flash a kernel sounds like. Are you s-off?
did you flash the ICS RUU?

thats what it says, i downloaded the s-off tool after i had this problem. i can get into fastboot and Hasoon's tool v2 works for caommands as far as reboot and what not. the s-off tool wont work because i need it to be able to boot. im thinking if i can just get a RUU and maybe get it to reboot into whatever the first white screen is called with the details from above, then it should flash and boot so i can start over....... the whole process here is similar to the one i used from when i had the HTC Inspire 4G. it was all included in one bundle tho.
and flashing a kernel is a nogo. tried that and its still looping on the HTC screen
also, nope i didnt flash a ruu yet. it was on 2.3.4 before i started.
im looking for a ruu right now

So...
all you have to do is fastboot flash a boot image.
Since you are S-On and trying to flash a rom ment for S-Off, you can run this rom, but you will need to pull the boot img from the rom and fastboot flash boot boot.img the boot.img file.
Plenty of threads on how to do this. Search button is your friend.
Just s-off now so you don't have to worry about fastboot boot.img files ever again
i cant get it to boot period to get the s-off to work....
so, say i have the miui rom and i unzip it, after i do and look into the folder, teh boot.img, its the first one? fo i need to rename it? also, i just put it in the root of the external then reboot bootloader? when i do that it says a bunch of looking for pm98 something or another...... wait a minute, i think i just answered my own question.... brb
s-off only requires the phone to be able to get into fastboot.
if you can get to the bootloader you're good.

so i downloaded stock rooted 3.13.605.7 and the boot img.
which one do i flash first? flash teh img in bootloader then flash the rom in recovery? or the other way around?
nvm. found it thru google. droid-guru.com had a thing saying img then rom. waiting on this stock rooted deal to finish booting and then ill charge the batteries( got two) and then restart the s-off and whatnot. thanks all
got it all going thanks to a guy named "hyuh" on the IRC freenode support for teh s-off deal... now on to the miui or some other sense 4.0
thank all of you for answering any thing
I recently bought a htc one x plus and as the person as i am, i quickly unlocked the bootloader, installed a custom recovery (ClockworkMod recovery) and kernel. But then i tried to flash a AOKP Jelly Bean 4.2.1 Custom ROM and after flashing it, it would just hang around the AOKP boot logo (a horse head with rotating rings around it). Then, without thinking, i relocked the bootloader (with a custom rom) to send it for warranty. Now, it would only go to the bootloader screen. After going through a few forums, i found out that this could be repaired by using the correct ruu for my device but they all say that i have to flash a stock recovery and boot.img before relocking the bootloader in order for the ruu to work. So my question is can i reunlock my bootloader to flash the stock recovery and boot.img without bricking the device and can flashing the correct ruu repair my phone. Please reply, i'm so desperate. The htc guys wanted me to pay $400 just to repair it and since i rooted the phone, warranty does not cover it.

You can unlock the boot again if you kept the code you received when you did it the 1st time round. Once you have unlocked it you can then flash any Rom. Did you make a nand backup before installing the custom Rom? If you did you can reinstall the custom recovery and restore the phone to stock.
I currently run the viper 3.4.2 rom, you could also install this after installing the custom recovery.

Hi Sharveen,
Please do youself a favor, and don't use the CWM Recovery, this Recovery is not adapted for this phone, I strongly suggest that you install TWRP Recovery, the latter is way more complete and rigorously tested on the HTC One X+.
TIP : Please read, read, read as much as you can before doing any changes to your phone, that can save you lots of problem.
First make sure your SDK tool (adb) is correctly installed and also the HTC's drivers. (There is a link for a tutorial in my signature.)
Download the correspondent recovery for your phone International OR AT&T/Telus (N.B. Links are available in the Sticky FAQ)
Flash the Recovery.
Clear Cache
Reboot in Recovery
DO A COMPLETE BACKUP OF YOUR ACTUAL ROM. BE SURE TO KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE
Install your correspondent version of any ROM.zip you want that is already on your storage. (Otherwise,Sideload a ROM to be able to flash one inRecovery)
Flash the boot.img of your desired ROM
Clear Cache Again
Reboot
Should work
Thank you soo much for replying and no, i did not make a nandroid backup when i tried to flash the rom. So can flashing a correct ruu repair my phone and hopefully get it back to stock rom...
Is your SDK/ADB tool correctly installed?

If you want to flash a RUU you need to install the original Recovery then flashing the correspondent RUU. Just let us know what is your preference, but as far as I am concern, your original backup wasn't made too bad, but you can still install a modded ROM.
This is gonna be your call for the continuity.

You could try searching the forum to see if someone has a nand backup for your phone. Only problem with ruu's is they haven't released the more up to date ones, so if your phone had the latest ota I doubt you will be able to use the ruu method. Personally I would use a custom Rom until you can find a nand for your phone.

The original recovery will be contained in the %temp% folder created by the ruu when opened but do i have to flash the boot.img which is also contained in the folder and also most of the forums says that you have to flash the boot.img after flashing the recovery while some says that you could relock the bootloader and flash the ruu after flashing the recovery only. So in my situation, do i have to flash the boot.img or not.

You tried to install a One X rom on your One X+? And you wonder why it does not work? You know there's a ViperX+ rom?
In order to get your backup working you have to flash the right kernel/boot.img. In case wou want to stay with stock rooted, you can try installing nik3r's stock kernel. If you want to install another rom, you have to do it via "adb sideload" command. You can find information about this in hasoon2000's tutorial in the HTC One X+ Genereal forum.

If you want a rom for your phone, you have to take one out of the One X+ forums, others (for One X) won't work. And whatever rom you chose, you have to install the correct boot.img, normally you can also find them on the first post of every rom thread.
I can't recommend ViperX+ because i never used it. But since you wanted to install the One X version, you should just try ViperX+ and see if you like it.
So what you have to do is:
- Download rom & boot.img
- flash boot.img in fastboot
- go to recovery and install rom using "adb sideload" (already told you where you can find the how to)
- reboot phone
be patient, first boot may take some minutes. you will know that everythings alright when you're not stuck at the HTC quietly brilliant screen

In my case, ViperX+ makes my phone a little bit hotter than others. However, it's the best rom for those who want to customize. I prefer Eleganica rom. Be sure that you choose the right rom for you phone. In your case it's Internation rom Elegancia 6.1. Just use sideload to flash. I'm sure that hasoon has posted the guide howto use sideload. Nothing to worry.

Guys thank you so much for the help, I have successfully loaded the ViperX+ Rom via sideload. :good:
Hi all,
So recently I caved and decided I should attempt to install a custom rom and bring my android experience to the next level. Being completely new to this but being fairly tech savvy I decided I would be able to do this no problem. I Went to the cyanogen mod blog and followed the guide to unlocking the bootloader and then to install the rom. Everything seemed to be going perfectly until I got to the final step and rebooted, but it would not boot past the "HTC ONE" screen. I kept retrying the previous steps until I noticed I forgot to flash the boot.img . I then did that and reinstalled the rom, but alas; still no luck. The only difference now is that it doesn't boot past the "Queitly Different" screen. I haven't been able to get past this bump in my android enlightning road. I was able to boot into a sketchy looking 4.3 but it lacked many features and wasn't able to detect my sim card. If anyone has some suggestions or tips on how I could correct these errors, would be greatly apprectiated.
I was told this is vital information in the helping process ( I'm still new to this)

Evitare_UL is the AT&T version of this phone, not the international one x+ (enrc2b) and since these phones have some differences in hardware the roms are not compatible. afaik there's no CM for Evitare_UL, only a very early version with lots of bugs.
so atm it's not possible for you to get anything above android 4.1, best would be you get yourself a stock based rom for AT&T one x+ from the One X+ Android Development forum and install this. Otherwise you have will have to restore a backup if you made one...
Okay , so you've cleared a whole lot up for me. Would you be able to direct me to any of these roms by any chance?

oh come on, it's not that hard to find the One X+ Android Developement forum
just make sure the rom is made for your phone (read the first posts(s) by the dev) and then try one yourself, i can't recommend anything since i have the international One X+.
Hi everyone. New to the forum and new to flashing etc. I have been playing with my phone for a couple of nights now but finally gave in and think I need to ask for help.
Here is a bit of background info so far. The last few weeks my One X+ has been suffering from getting stuck coming out of airplane mode. I am currently using an old Desire HD so thought I have nothing to lose by trying to fix the +.
I have managed so far to unlock the bootloader and root the phone. I have flashed TWRP and created a backup.
I have tried to load Android Revolution 8 which complete successfully along with the boot image but when the phone starts I get the HTC splash screen (quietly Brilliant & One X Beats Audio) but it then goes to just HTC then the phone turns itself off.
Have tried a couple of time but end up having to flash my recovery to revert back to how it was.
I feel I may be missing something and would appreciate it if someone could help me out.
Many Thanks :good:

No I don't think so. Like I say I have had a few goes at it now and from reading some of the guides on here which say it is important to make sure it has plenty of charge, I have made sure it is well charged before starting.
If it helps, here is some info phone the phone:
HTC One X+
CID-HTC__001
ENRC2B
HBOOT-1.72.0000
Model ID-PM3511000
Have you tried doing a full wipe before or during flashing ARHD? Can you still get into the bootloader or recovery? I had similar problem, changed the cable then flashed the boot image again.

I have done a wipe yes. I have been picking my way through these guides which all have small differences.

Yes I can still access the bootloader and TWRP recovery. The phone is currently restored back to how it was originally.
Are you flashing the boot image before or after you install the rom? With the ARHD he recommends flashing his firmware.zip before flashing the rom.
But from what I remember when my phone was stuck on the splash screen I went back into the bootloader, used another cable and flashed the firmware.zip again, restarted it and it was fine.
Info when I'm in bootloader is:
***UNLOCKED***
ENRC2B_U S-ON
HBOOT-1.30
CPLD- None
MICROP- None
RADIO- None
(Don't know why it says "none" next to radio, network etc is fine, Vodafone UK)

I have tried both ways. Flashing the boot image before and after the installing the ROM and both ways reproduce the same effect.
I have read the page where it mentions loading the firmware but as I have just set out about learning the in's and out's of loading ROMS I wasn't sure what this was. I now understand what the boot image is and what the ROM is but take it the firmware is something different. Should loading the firmware be the first step before falshing the boot image and ROM?
I have been over to his download page with the two 401 firmwares which I believe are the ones I require. The only issue I have is, it seems these are earlier versions so wasn't sure they would be correct to use. I cannot check currently as I'm at work but I think I am running firmware version 2.18.401.3.
So which one should I load?
Also here is the info from my bootloader screen:
