CWM is not the only way to root.
Have you tried this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173465

Yes but i dont understand the last parts with LG/MOBILEAX/PHONE. I dont find this file
Gesendet von meinem nicht gerootetem L9

This is a folder, hidden folder, so you wil not see it normally. You need to go to Windows Folder options and unhide hidden folders, like in attached picture (Win7).
Inside LGP760_AP[*].bin will appear but only after KDZ instalation reaches about 8% progress.

Install App From Internet Browser

What if you need to install an apk from sdcard but you don't have a file manager installed yet, and to make things worse you don't have internet access to download it from the market!
Well, there's a solution to that. Provided by every internet browser available.
(I suppose you have one installed
Here's what you need to do:
1. Put the apk file in the main directory your sdcard. Rename it to something very short for easy typing. In this example, I will use "fm.apk".
2. Boot your device. Goto Security Settings and check "Unknown Sources".
3. Open your internet browser. In the address bar type "file:///sdcard/<filename>.apk". In our example above it should look like this: "file:///sdcard/fm.apk"
4. Press "Go".
That's it! Installation started!
IF YOU LIKE MY WORK, THANK ME BY THE BUTTON BELOW
Could you not put apk in like /data or something and it's installed when booting?

Copy your home.apk file with root explorer, put on sd, then pc.
Open with winrar and change images in res/drawable. Give your images same name and pixels.
Then replace your old home.apk with the new one in your system folder with root explorer and install it.
To be sure, backup your original home.apk.
Think this will work fine :good:

[GUIDE] [SOLVED] "logo_LTN_B.jpg draw failed" on Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102B

Remember: ROOT access is required to go through this guide
Hello XDA!
This is my first post, and I'll be glad if this helps you guys, because I seeked in a few threads here in XDA... But couldn´t find an especific one that may help me.
If you are like me, and you like to try new custom ROMs, it's possible to notice this message when you go back to the Stock ROM:
"logo_LTN_B.jpg draw failed"
We see this horrible message instead of the boot logo [Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 "M,B Le Fleur... Whatever"] So, this is a question that comes to our mind: Is it possible go solve this issue?
In this guide I'll explain step by step how to solve this.
To fix this issue we'll need just a ROOT file explorer [In my opinion, last version of Root Explorer is the best one for this]
Using the explorer we are going to follow this instructions:
1.- Open the explorer and go to "mnt" folder
2.- Be sure you have "Show hidden folders" activated and then you will open ".lfs" folder
In this folder you will notice that are located all images the device uses, and a few ones that are useless
3.- Locate the file "logo.jpg" (This one is the most similar to the Stock boot logo) and COPY it to a different folder you want
4.- Edit the picture with any editor and save it as "logo_LTN_B.jpg"
At this point you have to make sure that the file is LESS than 11,00Kb, otherwise it won't work
5.- Use the Root Explorer to COPY the new image TWICE in mnt/.lfs/
And that's it! You can reboot your device to make sure it worked
[THIS HAS BEEN TESTED ONLY IN Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102]
Post your results on comments! :good:

What did you want to mean with this comment?
Tried this out, my logo file has 8 kb. Unfortunately when trying to copy it to .lfs folder I got a "not enough space" message and only 4 kb of the file could be written. After turning off the phone is bricked. No more action when connected to power or turned on. Very bad luck

[Q] Changing my phone's resolution and playing HD games

Hi All,
I'm using an off-brand device which's resolution is [FWVGA (854x480) pixels]. I bought Need For Speed Shift from Play Store, installed and downloaded the data(approx. 100 MB).But when I opened the game, everything's white and grey, only the music and some of the texts are fine but everything else is like invisible. No cars, roads or terrains.
I contacted with EA and they suggested me to change the game's resolution in the option, but as I can't see anything, I can't do it.I replied them with it but it's been 3 days and no answer from them.
As I'm using Android 4.2.1(JB) I can't use ChainFire 3D. Can you guys suggest me anything?
If you don't mind then kindly change the resolution settings in your game and give me the settings file or is there any way to change the resolution option manually by editing the data files?
Test to change the LCD density when u have root.

And after this help to delete the game settings under root/data/data and sd/android/obb to download the gamefiles again. It's not enough 100mb for a game like this. Or better delete only sd/android/obb/need...and start the app again to download all needed files.

If you have the Xposed framework try the module App Settings. It lets you override a bunch of settings. Override the resolution. If that doesn't work, override the DPI.

If device is rooted ,
Goto -
Root -- Data -- Data -- com.xxxx.xxxx ( u will find a folder like this which will contain that game's files ..)

If you cant find that file , search with that games package name...
Its impossible that there isnt any such file..
Search agn carefully...
