[Q] go back to stock rom - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

hey is there any way to go back to stock rom in live with walkman, while regaining the root access! it cannot b rooted in ics! i have cm 4.1 installed!

Just flash the stock ftf for your device (check development section for a download link) and then flash any kernel (prerooted) in fastboot mode (guess your bootloader is unlocked because you have cyanogenmod installed)
Sent from my Nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2

flashtool is not recognising my device! i have installed the adb for my device! and ive installed flashtool drivers too!
my device is wt19i(live with walkman).

Download the ftf for your device and place it in flashtool -> firmwares. Please don't connect your phone at first
Now you launch flashtool, click on the flash, flashmode, select the ftf, click okay. Now you shut down your phone, take off the battery, wait 10 seconds, reinsert the battery, hold volume down and while holding volume - connect your phone to the pc (the green led will light up). The flashing process will start and after it has finished disconnect your phone
Now you download any prerooted kernel (e.g. if you are on ics, rage kernel for 4.0.4 or any other ics kernel) and place the boot.img in flashtool -> kernels (you have to create that folder). Now you just take your mobile (it's not turned on) and hold volume up and while holding volume + connect it to your pc (the blue led will light up). Launch flashtool, click the flash, fastboot mode, navigate to kernels folder, select the downloaded boot.img and flash it. When it has finished, disconnect your mobile and boot it. Then the phone is on stock rom and rooted :good:

S.O.S Ray bootloop but also can't reflash bcz USB Debug off

Hi Guys, please help me! I deleted some systemfile, now I can't boot up my ray, it stuck at Sony Ericsson boot animation. I know I should reflash using flashtool... the problem is, flashtool requires "Unknown sources" + "USB Debugging" enabled, and this is not the case. What can I do now?

tried PCC but after clicking repair, the download bar always cancels at about 50% (error is something like software can´t be downloaded or installed on this computer)
tried flashtool too, but it doesn´t work either. i press vol down to boot in flashmode (flashtool recognizes as device in flashmode) but when i select the rom i get "preparing files" and then "ERROR preparing files" and the flashing process stops. i have all drivers and stuff installed
what else can i do??
really nobody? :/

[Q] lost system

my sony xperia s lt26i using doomkernel v1 along with ultimate sense UI as custom rom. when im about to flash it using flashtool 8.0.6 and change the kernel using cwm 5.5.0 my phone cant boot into system. any suggestion what should i do to put ftf or system back ?
Flash a firmware with flashtools, you can find all the firmwares in development section.
If you are stuck in recovery, hold power button + volume up for 15 seconds till you have 3 vibrations, like this your phone will shutdown.

You must reflash stock rom in flashmode. Just select the stock gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware and flash it. Do you know how to do that?
can i try other custom rom?

Is your bootloader locked or unlocked? Because if it's unlocked and you chose the right kernel and rom, maybe you forgot to do a factory reset or wipe cache?
it is unlocked 7 months ago, i tried some gb roms and this ics rom, but now only i had this type of problem, that why i little worried about.
May b just reflash the right kernel (kernel panic works fine with r6) then factory reset, wipe, dalvik cache and format system and flash the rom. I hope that should solve your problem. Otherwise you can always try stock kernel & rom suggested by mihahn
Try Pestanoid v3
Can you try this my ROM Pestanoid v3 ...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905976
Just try another rom+kernel and remeber: You will have to do a factory reset and wipe cache/dalvik cache, but only format system if it's required in rom thread! Otherwise don't format it

Also turn usb debugging on when using flashtools!!
Thanks for all, now it is solved with another rom and Mesa kernel. But now i am think to re-flash new rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908269,

First of all dont panic. you have NOT BRICKED ur phone.
Just flash any other kernel and any other ROM. your device should work fine...
Once I had the same problem.
The solution is flash your mobile with another kernel and wipe everything.
Use a custom rom.if nothing happen reunlock ur bootloder with testpoint method.

You can even flash on locked bootloader
So you download the stock firmware .ftf (for ics 4.1.B.0.587) for your device. (e.g. mini=st15=smultron, minipro=sk17=mango, active=st17=satsuma, livewithwalkman=wt19=coconut). Then you install flashtool and install all drivers for all devices/modes from flashtool installation folder - drivers
Now you place the downloaded .ftf in flashtool - firmwares and delete all other files in there. Afterwards you launch flashtool
Now click on the flash - flashmode - select the .ftf - click okay - now turn off phone, take out battery, wait 10 seconds, reinsert battery, hold volume down and while holding volume down simply connect phone via usb to your pc, the green led will light up and the flashing process starts. Now wait until it has finished, disconnect phone and boot it. Done :good:

download GB or ICS stock firmwarr. many around the forums. extract the firmware archive and you should get a file with a extension called .ftf . . place that in flashtool folder called firmwares. then open flashtool, if you dont have it, then download it. open flashtool click on lightening icon, then flash mode, then it will allow you to choose your firmware to flash. done!

If you flashed a pre-rooted kernel no. If you didn't then yes, you will lose root status at flashing

Have you unlocked your bootloader? if it was, you cannot use sony pc companion again, but instead always use flashtool is enough
try flash the firmware again and make sure it's working firmware
Easy: If you dont have LB again than you find in develop part of forum stock rom and kernel and download it. after that normaly flash rom via CWM and kernel by fastboot.

[HELP] [XSola] Can't get rooted

Hey, I have a problem
I just can't get my phone rooted. I did everything like in the instructions for .54 but it still won't install CWM or gives me Root access :/
Sometimes if I install root with restore after the reboot I get to the sim lock and it's broken. I mean like i can't type anything or i get a black screen with the SystemUI :/ But after flashing the MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf then, everything works again except that it'S rooted ???
Could you help me please ? I have a Sola .54
Man, that's weird, I followed a video that makes you root the phone with the Bin4ry's restore method.
Did you hear about the pre-rooted ROM?

Can we have the link to rooting method you have followed?
First downgrade to the previous ics rom as .54 can't be rooted directly then use bin4ry's root with restore. Then your phone will be rooted.

hi guys.. i'm also trying to root my sola!!
i'm with .54 and i'm using flashtool to flash it to .10 ics!! but i'm stuck on flashtool, it keep saying:
"For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings" and i guarantee that i've set those two settings
what i'm doing wrong??
just to ensure that i'm entering flash mode correctly.. we should use the vol- instead of back button like said in flashtool right?
thanks friends!!

USB debugging isn't needed for flashing.
Have you installed the drivers, for the fone + flash and fasboot?
What windows version you have?
Open flashtool, don't flash anything, just connect the phone in flash mode and post the log here.

To enter flash mode first switch off your phone, then hold the vol- button while connecting it to your pc via usb you should be able to see a green light. What is the usb mode you are using? MTP or MSC? To check that go to settings/xperia/USB connectivity.

No this isn't flashmode, shutdown your phone, and connect to the USB cable while holding volumedown button.
Did you install the drivers after installing flashtool (glashmode and fastboot at the bottom of the list of drivers installer)?

It's a kernel only file I assume and that's all you need for rooting, after rooting you flash kernel only of .54 and you're done.
