Hi all,
Gave my bro an Atrix, rooted (Superclickone), unlocked, no other custom software/firmware on there.
He is in India.
He installed an OTA update and now has an Android logo, white triangle with a yellow exclamation mark. Can fix it with battery pull but it re-appears after a while.
What other details would you need to help me out?
Appreciate your help.
Regards

First off, this is the wrong place for this post; should be in the Q&A.
Second, to answer your question, he needs to flash a fresh 1.26 sbf and then use the retain root process before updating to 1.57.

I apologize for the wrong placement.
Not being really familiar with Android, are there 'flashing' directions someplace? Where can I get hold of the 1.26 'sbf' & what is retain root process?

Will this flashing affect the unlock? I didn't have any wifi issues before unlock; so I'm guessing I should be ok after unlock as well.

Does not update or flash
Hi,
I am not able to flash a fresh 1.26 on the phone. It says Failed.
I tried to go with the Gladroot tutorial but the 1.57 update fails as well.. while re-starting (during the update install) the phone gets stuck on the white triangle with yellow exclamation point (after about 25% of install).
Any ideas?
EDIT: I have the webtop hack in there.. is that the issue?
Question, I have been rooted for a while so i decided to try ICS, unlocking the bootloader went fine but when I flash the recovery and try to boot into it I get the triangle with the exclamation point. I tried to reflash recovery but no go. any suggestions?
All your answers should be in my link here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497809
Good luck!
EDIT: when you get the exclamation point, you have to hit volume up/down at the same time to get to next menu.

I do it all the time! And if you read my entire link, you can see where I went into panic mode when it happen to me. I though I bricked the damm thing!
So i was messing around with my prime. trying to regain root access after the 4.1.1 update, but it seems i have somehow deleted my recovery.
The Bootloader is unlocked, and I can still put it in Fastboot mode, but trying to select recovery just gives me an error like this (see here: http://i.imgur.com/mpYCd.jpg)
If I try to boot Android, I get the Asus logo in middle + nvidia logo in bottom right.
Is there anything I can do here, or am I completely screwed?
(sorry that this thread gets posted so often, I searched, but I couldn't find anything specifically relating to this issue.)

Good morning guys,
Im not even sure where to start because im just getting into programming. I just tried to root my HTC rezound last night, so I followed the tutorial to the letter. Everything went very well by all accounts, except after unlocking bootloader, pda net, installed superuser, but yet when I try to verify that I have root access the phone does not recognise the root. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be? Ill be more than happy to post whatever information you might need in helping me figure this little problem out.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about a stock Rom, but I did a custom recovery and haven't touched s-on or s-off yet. I did unlock the bootloader and pda net using the walkthrough found at the htcdev.com /bootloader site. I don't know if I just need to find another walkthrough to finish the rooting process or if I'm way off here. The phone itself still works as good as ever so at least I didn't brick it. I feel like I'm close or at least on the right track.

pull your battery and re insert it.
hold vol down button and power until you get the white bootloader screen
The top should say unlocked in pink
if you have a custom recovery it will also say tampered in pink
since you are new and not sure, to continue we need to verify this
what does it say?

Doesnt matter what recovery. Just as long as it is a custom recovery.
@ajstipcak
Download/Flash this in recovery NOT FASTBOOT
http://download.chainfire.eu/333/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.34.zip
Then install Busybox using this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox&hl=en
Inside the app choose /system/bin at the top checkmark replace all symlinks choose install then choose smart install.

I was following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504408
I flashed MI1 per the guide, and when it rebooted it went to recovery but showed no text, then went to reboot itself and got stuck at the Verizon logo. So being as stupid as I am, and after trying to reflash the MI1 again a few times, I decided, hey, I'll just flash the Root De La Vega. Bad idea, now I'm stuck on the Samsung logo.
I should mention, whenever trying to boot into recovery on my own, it will show the "Booting Recovery..." and then shut off the phone.
I'd just like to go back to stock something at this point, is there any hope?
EDIT: Flashed back to Stock "No-wipe" MI1 and still stuck at Verizon Logo...
See if you can access recovery now and do a factory data reset.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
Yeah, still unable to access recovery, it just reboots the device entirely after showing "Booting Recovery"

Just tried holding it for a while (>1min) saw the Recovery Booting text for like a half a second before the screen went dark and continued to hold for a while. After I finally let go it rebooted and is currently stuck on the Verizon logo again.

I'll be honest I still can't find it, even with search restored, it's like the only VRUDMI1 files are no-wipe, so for some reason I reflashed the Root De La Vego or whatever it is, and I'm still getting stuck on verizon logo...
EDIT: Okay, strangely enough, I was able to access the recovery and I performed a full wipe, and was able to boot the phone, but I lack root, should I attempt to start this whole process from the beginning?

What release are you running now? If it's MI1, then I'd try starting over - flash clean, then root de la vega, restore the file, then update.
