What are the files that would be best to extract from a Stock AT&T ROM to use with a ROM from the international forum?

Bump this i'd like to know too. We gotta get our 4G, LTE speeds back
Trickdroid works with lte just fine
Make sure the Rom is for the m7_ul variant and it will work on the at&t version

Yeah it works im just not getting as strong of a signal or as fast of speeds now. Had 4-5 LTE bars at work now i get 1.
Remember that international roms roms use true signal indicators or something like that. So even tho you made only see 2 or 3 bars it's alright. Where as on same location using an AT&T Rom you would probably see all 5 bars

I have an unlocked Samsung galaxy note i717 and was wondering does it support T-Mobile 3g because I never get 3g its always edge and sometimes 4g it sucks so if anyone knows or know a way I could get 3g to come on that would be great thanks alott
No one has tried that yet -- you're the first to ask! Now I'm wondering too.
My guess is you'd have to flash a t-mobile compatible radio. Maybe get the radio from the t-mobile Blaze 4G galaxy phone, because its the same modem chip as the note, is my guess. You'd probably have to input the APN settings, most likely they aren't included in our Rom.
Good luck and let us know if that works.

Yeah it has me wondering because I do have the correct apn settings in and I only either have edge or 4g I never have 3g or an h+ so I don't know

Yes, that's a good start. But my guess Is you have to install/flash a t-mobile compatible modem because the two networks use different bands for data.
OK thanks I'll try that do you suggest any modems I should try?

Start with the Blaze 4G galaxy phone modem over in the development section. Its a zip file so you need to have a custom recovery (CWR or TWRP). Don't forget the APN settings after you flash.
I think I tried that one before and I didn't get any service at all but I'll give it another try

That modem is from a tmobile 4G phone. If its going to work, that's your best shot.

Hey I'm confused. Are you trying to get your Note to work on Tmobile? Why are you trying to get 3G instead of the 4G and LTE?
I'm mot trying to just get 3g but my location it switches from edge straight to 3g my phone won't pick up 3g no matter what I do I'm just tryna get that figured out

Ok, you already get data on tmobile network but you don't like the inconsistent speed.
You can try different modems. But in the end, you may just be in a poorly covered region and will have to live with it.
Hey,
Im running Renovate 1.0 on my ATT One, but LTE not showing up. I flashed a simple mod and got an "Unfortunately, HTC Sence has stopped" error no matter what I did.
I flashed Renovate 1.0 and it got my phone to a useable state. Im an idiot and did not do a backup before flashing crap.
Now, I need a ROM that is useable with ATT LTE?
Is there a good one or simply a radio I can flash? Is Renovate LTE compatible and Im missing it?
HELLLLPPPPP
Thanks
After searching through the settings the "Preferred network mode" has "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto" in the menu. So I assume its supported and just not working for me at the moment.
International roms won't have an lte logo. But you still are getting an lte connection.

I have the AT&T One and I am running the stock GE rom. I am in a heavily wooded area in northern united states and I'm able to get a cellular connection right after turning the phone on, but then after 60 seconds I lose the signal. I'm able to send and receive texts for that 60 seconds. If I restart the phone I get that signal back for 60 seconds and then it dies. I have tried flashing two different radios. Same result.

I'm not an owner of a HTC one but just cruising around on your forums but I know with the note 2 and the inspire i use to have, you would always have to make sure the ril file matches the modem file to work correctly. I know AOSP with other phones don't come with a ril file, so unless google edition rom stock modem works with your phone your always going to have poor reception.

Google edition roms aren't based on AOSP so they shouldn't have any issues but either way don't humor this guy.

Did the stock ROM work? If not then call AT&T and ask if there's anything you can do.
Its actually coming and going now. If someone could link me an AT&T modem I can flash that would be great

Well I have this ISSUE at one location but ONLY on LTE phones cause its near LTE coverage area and it prefers it over anything else Just force the phone to WCDMA only and BAM Fixed! The HTC One has been a little worse than my other phones about it but the problem has occurred on my Note 1, Note 2, S4, One X+, One.
Can somebody help me with this before when I newly flashed the stock jellybean I was able to get lte but now I am not able to and I am in a lte coverage. Could somebody please guide me.

what ROM are you running?
some of them reflect a different symbol
for example.......there is a ROM that show "HSPA+", same thing as 4g LTE

Reboot the phone and let the phone register on the network. The APN should be in the phone database. In case its not, which would be impossible with a stock rom, you can enter it, and be sure to SAVE it.
Right now I'm using the phone apn I have rebooted the phone many times I actually would like to know when I put it to only lyrics in the phone info menu it still shows as hspa
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
HSPA = 3G/4G Kind of strongest signal available.
On TouchWiz firmware:
E=2g
3g=3g
4g=hspa
4g lte= lte the strongest signal.
Aosp:
E=2g
3g=3g
H=hspa
4g= lte
disable lte
hi, could someone tell me how i can disable lte on at&t jb? previously i was using one of the canadian release and i was able to change network types under the settings

I have an unlocked ATT branded i717 that I've been using on T-Mobile here in San Diego for about 2 months now...I'm using the modified T-Mo ICS Blaze radio. Due to the area of San Diego I'm in I am not in a refarmed network area so no LTE for me but my "4G" speeds are usually around 10megs down and 2 megs up at home which I'm pretty satisfied with.
Anyways to answer your question I'd refer to this thread.....

Yes you need to change your modem or else you you will be stuck using roaming on the 2G frequencies. I recommend the Blaze 4G UVMB1 modem on this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895400
Of all the modems I have used, this one seems to be the best one. If something else works better let me know so I can try it for myself.

Its funny that I didn't need to change anything, all I did was, get the $30 dollar plan from wal mart, I call T-Mobile to help me out with activation and new number. And they ask me for my imei and that's it. My LTE runs right when it activated, everything is pure stock!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Refarmed are means tmobile is using same frequencies and towers as at&t, so the stock modem will work fine. Just input APN settings and go!
