I have searched for the last hour about this error I get when trying to flash teenybin but haven't had any luck. As soon as I hit start in LGPNST a box instantly pops up saying finished and a LGPNST dialog box pops up saying "Unknown process type". I have followed the instructions to the tee in the teenybin thread on flashing this. Could somebody point me in the right direction or tell me how to fix this?

Can someone please help me so I don't have to mail my phone in for repair. I can't be with out my phone for 2 weeks. .. followed direction with Kies to upgrade my phone to JB... half way through it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode and try again... it doesn't work... I have tried everything I can.. can't get it to go into boot mode at all. when I hold down the volume and start and the warning screen comes up and then when I press up to continue it goes right back to the error screen. What can I do? I have also uninstalled kies.. Tried different ports.. different computers everything.:crying:
I was trying to install a new rom when they asked for a new CWM version. Seemed simple enough, plugged in the flash tool, got the green circle all looks good. Now starts up and says:
TOOL DL image Fail!
uboot is blocking by dl info
And every 15 seconds the screens shuts off and then on again.
So I finaly checked the DA DL All with Check Sum in the upper right corner and reflashed again. However no change the error still appeared. So I tried loading an older CWM that worked. no change.
Then I tried the format option in SP_Flash_Tools with the option to keep to boot partion and now the phone wont boot at all. I can still 'flash it' but nothing I've flashed makes any difference. I won't say its bricked because I do appear to have full USB flashing capabilities, they just don;t seem to do anything...
How can I get it into recovery mode again?
PS This is a Lenovo A820
How to fix - TOOL DL image Fail! uboot is blocking by dl info
Ok I'm really happy to say I solved it, here are the steps as simple as I can make them:
Go here: to needrom.com and look for the A820 option 3. Its got a 3 at the end of the URL. Sorry if someone else could post the link that would be cool. Download only the recovery only.
Using SP_tools (The one you just downloaded) Load the scatter file. This is in the same folder as the SP_Flash Tool you just downloaded.
Power off phone. Remove battery and SD card and sims. Don't connect the phone.
Click the tick box da dl all with checksum
Hit the download button. Waiting for searching then connect the phone.
Green circle, wait 5 seconds, unplug and switch on.
E Viola! Now your phone is rooted and fixed. You might want to install unclemobile tools and update the recovery to something else, cwm 5+ or something. Then you you can install new roms from the recovery mode.

Hello everyone,
I was flashing my phone using "LG Flash Tool 2014", but due to power failure the process stopped. Now my phone is stuck at "Download Mode" I can't do anything. Every time I power on my phone all I see is a banner saying "Download Mode". I tried to use "LG Flash Tool 2014" to flash stock .kdz ROM file, but it does not work. I get to 10% and it stays stuck at that... I tried to use different computers, but the same thing occurred. I tried accessing Recovery mode, but no luck there either. My phone model is LG Optimus LTE2 - "F160s". Please help me. Is it possible to fix my phone? I think it's badly bricked or maybe dead. Not sure, any ideas? Are there any ways I can flash my phone again using Windows or Linux?
Hi there,
My S9+ (SM-G9650) is softbricked right now, due to a attempt on flashing the Pixel Experience ROM in it. After a few tries, using the "High on Android" tutorial for this kind of procedure, I gave up, seeing that my phone did not correctly flash it, and every time I booted it up, the Samsung logo appeared, with the opened lock with the "CUSTOM" warning below it, and the warning "Set warranty bit: kernel" on the top of the screen (or sometimes with the "Set warranty bit: Recovery" message instead, when I boot into recovery mode). I also can't seen to rid myself of TWRP, since every time I boot into recovery mode, TWRP is there.
So I wanted to undo all that I have done by flashing the stock firmware for the device through Odin 3.13.1. But I keep getting the same error message, a few seconds or a minute later the flashing process is started. It says "Complete(write) operation failed".
I am familiar with adb and fastboot, as well as flashing images to phones like Essential Phone, but I am at a loss with this one. I have tried following some tutorials, but they all say the same thing, and it is not working for my case. Btw, the name of the zip file I downloaded and tried to flash is SM-G9650_1_20180418174053_asu7y86t8u_fac.zip (oreo 8.0.0), if this information is of any help.
Any thoughts? Or advices?
Edit: fixed it already. Guess I had the wrong file
Good Morning Everybody, Hope you are doing fine during those difficult times.
I have an LG L5 II which a friend gave me when he bought a new phone. The phone wasn't fully functional and i did get the message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" when trying to enter phone settings.
ecause of that reason, I have tried to do a hard reset procedure, by turning off the phone and then holding volume down button, quick button and power button until the LG logo appeared on the screen.
Unfortunately, on the "Welcome to startup Wizard" screen, when tapping on "next" i get the same error message: "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Is there a workaround to totally reinstall android on the phone, maybe via a computer?
Thanks for your kind support
Good Evening guys, I was able to solve the problem as follows:
1. Download & Install the "LG mobile support tool" software from LG website.
2. Within the software, select the driver for your device and install it.
3. Put the phone in "download mode "as kindly suggested by xTPTBx in the following thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108652.
4. Accept some "privacy settings" (in my case i had to rotate screen view vertically in windows because i wasn't able to see the "verify" button).
5. LG will ask you to reinstall drivers (don't do that, otherwise it will mess up with the drivers you did already install).
6. In the top left corner of the software window, you should be able to see your phone model. If that is the case, you will be able to do an upgrade recovery by following the guided procedure.
I am glad that I was able to recover a phone that otherwise would have been uselessely thrown away.
Thank you guys for the precious support and the detailed documentation of this forum.:good:
