I hate that my gps can't lock my location...my older neo v was far better on navigation...i dont what is the problem with GPS...is it a hardware of software problem..
I am on stock GB...plz tell me about ics...is there the problem exists too?plz help

I somehow managed for a few sec to lock my gps with faster gps gps test gps status changing values. .build props ..still it cant lock properly...btw why would I need to use a app to fix my gps...-crying-

Xperia U can't get satellite lock under GB without internet connection, i don't know if this issue has been resolved in ICS, or it's a hardware related issue, if this is the case you may consider selling it and get a late-2012/2013 sonys, or even another brand..
please anyone who upgraded to ICS feed us back...
I am also using GB on Xperia U and Its really frustrating to think i paid my hard earned money for this device.....lastly i was using Nokia n8 and never faced such issue....i don't get what has sony charged us for....it is least bothered to even provide some update to rectify such problems...am never ever again in my life going to buy a cellphone from sony....

I have found a minimal solution...use gps test app..go out side..i mean under clear sky...then when u see the satellitesshowing...hold on for 30s-1m...ur gps should be locked

That's just an SDK dump, better waiting on proper source beeing released, probably when the Galaxy Nexus goes on sale in November
And there's a dump of the system/app folder over at myandroidworld. Go google it. However, most apps get parsing error when I try to instal them. Even those that do not get the error mostly FC. I only got news and weather and maps to run.

Having problems with mine as well, experiencing it while holding the phone on top, in horizontal position. Stronger signal when i hold it vertically, holding it on the bottom.
I don't think its a software problem, i believe its more of a hardware problem, antenna position?

Its a "where i have my hands" problem. If you obstruct the antenna with your fingers, then yes you will have wifi problems.
It could very well be what tuxsterph and dumraden are saying. If the signal get stronger/weaker depending on where you hold the phone it's probably as simple as that.
I will forward your comments though so it's available for the teams working with new software and product development. Not sure what can be done (or if) but I guess it doesn't hurt letting them know.

When im playing a game or im on an app then when i go back to homescreen this happens... my icons go blank for awhile...

this is normal, this happens because the launcher application leaves ram when you open a heavy application
Hi, I have a TMobile Vibrant ROMed and rooted here, and it won't turn on. the soft keys do light up when its plugged in, but that's all it does. The battery is charged for sure because I do have an external battery charger that tells the charge of the battery.
This started happening about a couple days after I flashed AOKP, the odd thing is, prior I had CM7 flashed and it randomly bootlooped on me while using it (read: I was not installing roms/kernels, just regular day usage and it bootlooped)
This time with AOKP, it doesn't turn on at all! If anybody needs further information, I'll be on all day to provide it. Can anybody please help me?
UPDATE : I'm starting to think the screen is dead; I was able to flash stock somehow, and I can hear the unlock sound, but obviously nothing is on the display :/.
You probably already know that you can check for vital signs by plugging it into a PC and checking for a USB connection. You might even be able to get an adb login.
If the screen is dead, you could maybe use it as a... webcam? Wifi widget? Paper-weight? Or spare parts?
Good luck with it. It does sound like bad hardware.

When I used KA10 and KA2 kernel, Facebook.app is ok, still have timeline mode.
Today, I flashed KA10.1 and KA3 kernel, Facebook.app have a big problem, timeline mode lost, I cannot check my friend or my photo/info/...
Can you fix it?

I have the same problem on Stock ICS from Xperia S. Also happened to me on my older Xperia Arc.I don't have that problem on my Kindle Fire however. I don't know what causes it and I haven't been able ti fix it but I would recommend you to install FriendCaster which is a Facebook client for Android that is MUCH better than the official one. I'ts faster and you won't have these kind of problems anymore. Good luck!

I was installed FriendCaster pro, but I think official facebook apps UI is better than FriendCaster.

Never seen that before. That sucks. My screen was a little glitchy after a hard drop; factory reset and it fixed it somehow! Maybe lucky? Good luck.
