By default ICS, do you mean AOSP ROM?
I think CM9 is currently the best and closest shot you can have at experiencing AOSP on your U. Thread here

Hey guys
This is the Walkman Z system dump (all credit to [email protected]). Only a few applications work on our Xperia S. Seems most are locked by Sony to work only on the Walkman Z.
So can any developer/ or an advanced user sign these apks (especially the media player and photo viewer) to work on our Xperia S ?
Any help will be appreciated.

I think not all apps will be installed successfully without root. But you can try. Open the /system folder in the zip file and install all the apks

Maybe no bugs? I dont know about that, maybe it have no bugs of it run JB and if the XU have unoffical JB then the XU have already the walkman inside it.

I am asking to port xperia p jb walkman to xperia u because other ports have xloud bug.
Jb has been ported to XU but it has camera bug(which is keeping me away to use that rom).

So I decided to make this mod for all devices
Requirement :- Root And CWM
Instructions :-
1.First download require data from Here!!!
2.Copy it to your sd card
3.Turn off your phone and switch to CWM
4.Wipe Dalvik Cache And Cache Partition
5.Install this mod
6.Reboot

1. Nvidia libs etc wont have any effect as we don't have the tegra core or anything similar to it.
2. Mali GPU drivers are kernel dependent (it is on newer 2013 devices and late 2012, pretty much same I guess)
3. Libs are basically machine code. So to modify the adreno libs, you would need to source code. (Which sony hasn't provided)

Just like on PC, you do not use AMD drivers if you have nvidia graphics card or the other way around.

OK @Pandemic i pm the guy u said & he helped me also ,but he said something related to decompiling,recompiling and signing apks which i think a quite messy job.so i refused to do it.

Do you mean Phonebook and Conversations?
You can easily extract them from the ROM ftf if you have it.

Yep exactly these, but i don't have the ROM. I've installed today the moonbreaker rom, but i like more the white version of these apps.
