Hi actually don't need a file manager. In your gallery you can sort your photos by album and there is a screenshot album

you can use a file manager on ur phone. the one i use is Astro file manager PRO. but its easier to just connect your phone to your computer. just manually MAKE new folders and name it as you please. then drag n drop pictures into whatever folders as you please
Anyone found a way to make the camera app change the file name to date when it takes pictures? I miss this from my old phone and I can combine folders with my old pictures because it keeps trying to overwrite them.

I would love this feature. I bet the stock app can't do it though.

Hi Guys,
I use a website where I have to attach file using browser (i.e. I can't use Email app or any other). I can only use Browser to send files but default android browser shows me only three type of files; Audio, Picture, and Video Files but the files I have to send is like .doc , .xls , .ppt ... so, what's the solution for this issue? I have Root Explorer installed, but the option is not there so that I could chose specific file to attach.
I tried Dolphin Browser to attach files as well but no help!
I look forward to hearing from someone.
Thanks!
Is my query so hard no one is replying...

You might need some sort of office suite. I am using office suite pro, which is not free. If I am not wrong, only the Gmail and email app allows you to attach ppt and docs.

Oops! Really? Android can't even let us use browser to attach these files? That's really something ... I hope someone else could help me out?
Thanks!

Use opera mini/mobile. It has a built on browser that can let you upload anything form sd. Or install something like ES File Explorer. It should work!

Ok I have another question. I transferred all my pics from my last phone to the DNA and they don't show up in the gallery app. They show up in quickpic though. Any wait to get them to show up there?

If you're rooted, try using file explorer to move the pictures from wherever they are to the gallery directory. Otherwise, send them to yourself and download them to the phone again.

Try clearing cache on the gallery, or restart the phone and open it.
Make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in the directory of the pictures.
If all else fails you can move them to the default picture location, and you don't have to be rooted as the guy above me seems to think.
But the default gallery app seems to be really good for me about detecting pics.

Download an app called rescan media from the play store, it'll fix your problem. :good:

Thanks everyone. Ill try a few of those

I didn't say he had to be rooted, I just said that it would make the process easier. He can just as easily send himself the pictures from the other app and download them to his gallery. OP, you should try whatever suggestion you think works best.

I take alot of pictures and like to separate them in albums. Is there anyway to do this on this phone
Coming from Samsung so I'm trying to get the hang of this. Thanks

Of course you can, but you can't do it with the Albums app (as far as I know). Install a third party gallery app, like QuickPic or something.

Thanks that's what I thought. I was just wondering if you can do it on Sonys album app
