How do you get the sixaxis controller app to work on DNA, umm reading their have been done Bluetooth issues and I'd like to know if anyone has resolved the issues?

Unfortunately, (maybe not) until CM10 comes out fully functional. There are alternatives that have gotten great writeups: Ipega Bluetooth Controller Android Wireless Game Controller Gamepad Joystick for iPhone / iPod / iPad / Android Phone / Tablet PC, Black or MOGA Mobile Gaming System for Android 2.3+ Both have been said to work just fine on the DNA.
I did a few days of searching and am almost certain that it does not work on the DNA. I have the app installed and tried to run it and it wouldn't work.
A couple of alternatives. You can use a Wii controller with Bluez IME app. If you want more of a PS3 feel you can get a Phonejoy Dual Analog, though I have tried searching the Internet and they are rare. The company is currently making a Phonejoy 2, coming out later this month.
As ghstrdr1985 said you can also use the MOGA controller. I looked at it and it has amazing reviews. I personally went with Phonejoy because I wanted to hook up multiple controllers with BluezIME. I'm not sure if MOGA supports that.
The moga pro looks pretty legit....

Hey guys,
This isn't really specific to the Transformer itself, but kinda specific to HC. I figured with all the awesome emulators available for Android and how awesome they run on Tegra 2 (N64oid works great!), I'd try to find a nice bluetooth controller that works with Android.
Specifically I'd like one with analog sticks. Not sure if a good driver has been written yet for this, but if so, I figured someone on here would know.
The best setup I've found so far from my research would be to use a WiiMote with a Classic controller pro plugged into it. That setup might be a bit expensive though (~$40). I own Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers already, so I was hoping there would be a solution for one of those two (but not looking likely from my research).
Here is my ideal setup: Transformer + emulators (n64oid, snesoid, etc.) + HDMI cable + bluetooth controller = a bunch of old school consoles that can run on a portable machine that can be connected to a TV and also that has a wireless controller
Try this one http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Wii-Wireless-Retro-Controller___EF000622.aspx
I use "wiimote controller" app. available on market for free, with classic controller plugged into wiimote. You can then use snesoid etc. to setup the buttons.
Played mario kart and zelda on snesoid using the dpad and the usual buttons but not sure if analog controllers work as have not tried them yet. Don't see why they shouldn't though.
Have a look at this..http://www.roms4droid.com/wii.php
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHFRbQKnrfg
^^^ That seems to me like the best setup. You can get an older edition of the wiimote for ~$20 and Amazon sells the Classic Controller Pro for I think ~$15 right now.
The controller I posted above is just like the classic pro but without the need to tether it to the wiimote.

Have you ordered one from codejunkies? I placed an order through Amazon, but it's going to take a month to deliver. Wondering if codejunkies is any faster or if they are just a front end to the same manufacturer/wholeseller.
Edit - oh, I see that is actually a slightly different product. I thought it was the Datel controller. I wonder if it is as compatible as the Datel seems to be.
The one on amazon is the datel I just ordered it.

Let me know if this works
Anyone knows why it's so hard to get PS3 controller to work?

Man, wished I searched Amazon before I ordered one from CodeJunkies in UK. Still havent received my controller yet. I ordered over a week ago.
would it be possible to use another android device as a controller?
Good news, when we get the 3.1 update, it will support a "ridiculous" amount of usb devices, including the Xbox360 controller.

Do you think these devices would work via the proprietary charge cable with a female to female usb adapter? That would rock.
I hope there will be some sort of support for the 360 wireless adapter. I dont want to buy a wired controller when i already have the adapter and two wireless controllers!
3.1 Platform Hightlights:
Support for joysticks and gamepads
To make the platform even better for gaming, Android 3.1 adds support for most PC joysticks and gamepads that are connected over USB or Bluetooth HID.
For example, users can connect Sony Playstation™ 3 and XBox 360™ game controllers over USB (but not Bluetooth), Logitech Dual Action™ gamepads and flight sticks, or a car racing controller. Game controllers that use proprietary networking or pairing are not supported by default, but in general, the platform supports most PC-connectible joysticks and gamepads.

Great news! The number of controllers compatible with Android is seriously lacking.
Wondering if there is a Bluetooth Controller out there that will work with the Note? Since it is a nice big screen, wanted to try out some emulators with it.
From what I have read, the Wiimote Controller app won't work with newer Samsung devices... So that one is out.
The Wiimote controller not working is a damned shame. I just bought one last month for my rooted Nook Color (which I don't use nearly as much anymore with this baby).
The other options (I know of) that you can explorer would be finding a PS3 Dualshock controller like this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015AARJI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=A302LUH0HSUQW7
However, you must be rooted to use a Dualshock controller. You could try using the OnLive controller, but that only works with the OnLive app.

Is there a link to get the dual shock controller working? Everything I've found is outdated.

I have the ps3 controller working all you need is the sixaxis controller app from the play store (Market) in the description there is also a program you need to download to your computer to reprogram the controller so i syncs with your phone and not your ps3. It's pretty easy took me about 5 mins. Only downside is there is no free version of the app so you have to pay or *cough*acquire it*cough*.
With the PS3 Sixaxis app and controller... you have to be rooted. Or so that is what I have read.
Not sure if I want to root just yet. I am afraid it will somehow pose problems when ICS is released.

Rooting itself won't hurt the update, but removing any system apps, or freezing, will cause an update to fail.
Recently got a OTG cable for my Note and can't seem to get the wired Xbox 360 controller to work with ANY games...yes, even ones with native support (which are the only ones that will work) like Dead Trigger and GTA III.
I know the cable works as the wireless mouse and keyboard combo I have works fine...so it isn't a hardware issue I don't believe. The controller I know works as well (use it on my PC).
So what gives? I got all excited about playing games with a controller only to be let down...:crying:
Using stock ICS ROM...should I maybe try another ROM? Does stock not support it? I know the GSIII ICS does (looking at YouTube videos).
I think you have to use USB/BT joystick center app found on the market to be able to pair with Xbox controller. I just got my otg cable and have not tried yet but I know it works on international note. Need to find my wired controller.
I got USB/BT...it finds my controller and the controller works through the program (as in the buttons are functioning, etc) but still a no go with games.
I've even installed a couple JB ROM's to rule out an ICS issue. Nothing seems to work here...weird...
Works for me using padawan but it drains my battery one percent minute when playing games.

I am brazilian and my english is basic.
I have a Xoom 2 Media Edition MZ607. I have some MS wireless xbox controllers. And i have also USB/BT Controller app.
I want to play on my tablet with my controller. But i do not have a wireless receiver yet.
If I buy a fake/generic receiver, can I use my original MS wireless controller and play some games like Modern Combat 4?
Do I need to root my device? I do not want to do this...
Thanks for the attention.
The generic reciever works fine for me, you will need an otg cable as well. I also dont think the usb/bt controller app requires root. Any thing else, you would be better off asking pokey himself on the controller apps support forum.

I already bought the OTG cable in AliExpress. I must wait about 1 month to get it...
I will buy the generic receiver for about $13 in AliExpress too. I must wait about 2 months... :crying:
Here, in Brazil, these products are very expensives. I prefer to wait. I do not want to pay for a price 3 times more expensive.
What games can you play with your generic receiver? How can you play it? Do you need an application to make the controller compatible?
Thank you for your great help.
No... After the receiver recognizes your controller, you just map out the controls for the particular game you are playing, and you can save setups for particular mapped controls so you don't have to do it everytime you play.
I play shadow gun, sg:dead zone, and various emulators. How well the controller will work with the game will depend on how much the game depends on touchscreen input. Sixguns, the controller is great during missions, but requires alot of touchscreen input in between. Don't bother trying to map masseffect: infiltrator... The whole game requires you to touch this or that, which the controller can't do alls you really can controller is movement, not even firing. Shadow gun, you are fine till you have to input the codes, do that on the touchscreen then back to the controller....dead zone, if you map it right, you only need the screen to join a game, or various settings, actual gameplay can be handled by the controller. Emulators are the same.

same issuse here
i am also having the same problem soo fustrated
You take the normal usb cable from the ps controller and buy a USB OTG Adapter, thats it
six axis
you can also use the six axis pair tool for pc to change the master address of ps3 blue tooth
so you would not need to buy OTG cable
I would imagine you will also have to make a touch profile for your device in six axis app
I'd love to see soultion or proper profile for that game. I can't use OTG on my nexus
You have to use a touch profile in sixaxis.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45441104&postcount=47
Profile goes to '/sdcard/data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/profiles/'
It is explained in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31634416&postcount=2
Dude, I used the OTG method. The game recognised my ps3 controller. But the controls are hideous. Like no auto accelerate and L1 and R1 aren't brake and now and we'll it's all screwed up. The game crashes when I go to the controls tab in settings. Please help.
I was really hoping to find a way to make the OnLive Universal Controller work with Asphalt 8. I know the Moga Pro works great with it so I'm curious what is is that makes the Moga work with it but other controllers do not, or at least not as well if they do work.

The moga works because the game has a control profile specifically for it. Asphalt does not work with hid controllers AFAIK.
