[Q] Root with broken Vol Buttons - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My volume buttons are broken... So although I can enter recovery with adb commands I cannot go to install zip. Is there a way to root with commands only manually?

Use aroma installer for rooting process.

[Q] Flash Rom in CWM though buttons broken

I own a generic tablet with either CWM on TWRP. However for both versions of recovery the touch screen does not work.
Previously I was able to navigate through recovery using the volume buttons. However, in a rather unfortunate turn of events, I broke the volume buttons and now I am unable to navigate through CWM anymore to flash my roms.
I did some reading on sideloading zip files but that would still require me to toggle sideload mode in CWM which would require the use of the volume buttons!
This device cannot boot into fastboot mode.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can flash a rom?

you can use rom manager which directs you to recovery mode without pressing vol buttons
you can use xposed modules which provide three reboot option

ahhh ... but the proplem is that there is pattern lock which i forgot saw i can't do this one
So your phone is pattern locked and you want to get to recovery, do it via adb. Make sure you have adb drivers installed, look here for an easy way to setup adb.
In command prompt, type the following:
Code:
adb devices
adb reboot recovery

G925FXXU3COI9 Root

Is there a possible way to root the g925fxxu3coi9 5.11 S6 Edge? I've heard some guys tried to and got stuck at the bootscreen. And if it is possible, could somebody please reffer me to a guide on how to do it safely? Thank you.
Hey rsnail_valy! I guess you are looking for this thread. I haven't rooted my one yet though TWRP Recovery 2.8.7.1 and Root for G925F Android 5.1.1 (unofficial)
Yeah I saw that thread but it's not really explicit at all, I can't really understand what I have to do reading what it says there, maybe someone could explain...
Hi, Yesterday i root my 925F through this method Just do it bro download all three files. TWRP, Kernel and Super User..
Copy Kernel and Super User file to your phone..
then power off and go in to recovery(Holding Vol Down + Home + Power) ...Flash TWRP through ODIN(Uncheck Auto Reboot in options) After Flashing Holding Vol down and Power to turn off mobile.
After that Go to recovery by Holding Vol up+ Home + Power .
You now in recovery Now Flash Kernel and Super User then you are Ready to go

Umm ... I'm in the same issue as the OP. How do you flash Kernel and SuperUser with TWRP ? You just flash them with ODIN while you are in the Recovery tab, or how ? Please explain, because I tried once to root my COI9 and I got stucked in the bootloop and I just don't want to repeat this again.
After I flash TWRP with Odin then I proceed to flashing Kernel and SuperSU (which I previously copied on my phone) with TWRP from the recovery menu shown on my phone's screen? And also, after this rooting method am I going to be able to use fingerprint scanner on the lock screen? I heard some guys lost this feature of the phone after rooting, is this true?

Trying to root

Okay so following the guide from getdriodtips how to root and install twrp
Have done all the steps flawlessly
But when I
"Boot your phone into recovery by by pressing “Volume Down + Power” button simultaneously."
That just makes it go into factory mode??
& if i do power + volume up that is just regular phone recovery mode...
SO I don't get it!?
It does say put supersuzip into root but i cant find root folder anywhere? So it's just in file explorer/internalsharedstorage.
Also am i meant to extract it - i have just the raw zip file?
andriod 7
Please help me someone!?
