There is a guide around for you in the Q&A/General Section.
You should be careful when rooting phone and flashing stuff. The acts u mention above, i think you ca recover very easily. Just read the guides and follow these steps.
1. Flash a proper recovery for ICS or JB (whichever stock rom u had).
2. Download a proper ROM, ICS or JB (whichever you want to)
3. Flash the zip thorugh recovery and wait for it to complete.
4. Turn off the phone,
5. Boot to fastboot mode and flash the boot.img files (which is the kernel and it is different for each rom)
Actually i think flashing the correct boot.img will solve ur issue but you better follow the steps i mentioned above.
Regards
Yasir

No No No No No NO.
Rom.zip , and i repeat "*.zip" are meant to be flashed via recovery.
for boot.img, and i repeat "*.img" files are meant to be flash via FASTBOOT mode. You need proper exe file on a pc for that. "fastboot.exe flash boot boot.img"

You are in luck my friend I am on the case. Okay this is what you need to do.
Note: Steps 2-6 are needed if something goes wrong with the update.
1.
a. Extract the stock recovery from V20A indian (look at my signature). Hopefully you have the V20A kdz already.
b. Place the extracted recovery (should be labeled "3-recovery.img") into the stock_recovery.zip and flash inside cwm
c. reboot, this will take you into the stock recovery and complete the ota update.
2. Download Lelus Fastboot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41768774
3. Install the omap4430 driver twice (in to different locations). This is has to do with fastboot.
Help if you have problems installing the drivers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44578108&postcount=34
4. Place cwm recovery image (name it "cwm.img") inside here "c:\fastboot\yours"
5. Right click on start.bat and select run as Administrator
6. Select option #1 (fastboot) and issue the following when everything is operation properly.
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery cwm.img
fastboot reboot
not needed you have cwm recovery, actually you will need the above (lol) if the update doesn't go through properly.
I'll add some more info, hold up.

Do you have stock recovery img ?
Extract the stock recovery.img first (from the kdz V20A). This happened while doing an ota update right?
Once you have it, we will continue the process.

If you keep a cool and follow things in this post and few instructions from others from this post, you can still flash any LG Stock Rom on your phone and recover it.

If you can access your phone via fastboot then you can revive it pretty quick.
If you cannot, then...... no need to say it
here are the steps to follow if you can use fastboot:
first of all you should prepare your files; you need the drivers for the device, adb and fastboot executable files, a ROM of your choice with the proper boot.img. Once you got those put them in one folder and proceed.
enter bootloader mode (volume down + power)
select fastboot mode
plug your usb cable to your PC
open a cmd window and navigate to your fastboot directory and execute this command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
now you should push a downloaded ROM to your internal sdcard with this command: adb push *here your ROM name.rar or .zip* storage/sdcard0/
if you get an error of not copying, the add a folder for example storage/sdcard0/Download/ or storage/sdcard0/DCIM/
then you can enter recovery and flash your ROM, you should do a wipe and install, then wipe cache and then reboot.
This should put your phone to work with whatever ROM you install, then to get to stock is another process which includes relocking the bootloader.
Please update so I can give you any more help.
NOTE: any rom you download should be compatible with your CID, check it via fastboot with this command: fastboot getvar cid. Also try to download ARHD from mike1986, in his thread you can find compatible CID. If not try to look for a rom compatible with your CID
Hello JoHnGr0n3,
i have same problem.
in phone was stock ROM, unlock bootloader, TWRP 2.6.1.0 (no nandroid backup )
After installing the official update 4.2.2. cant reboot system only white screen with HTC logo
i tried flash Revolution ROM with yours tutorial...
flash via fastboot
boot.img copied and flashed - OK
but i cant copied any file to "SD" card i used command: adb push Revolution.zip storage/sdcard0/DCIM and wrote me: error device not found
any ideas how to copy ROM on storage?

Searched, couldn't find any dual sim roms apart from the one in this thread
EDIT - or maybe it's this one? it's compatible with dual sim http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46730392&postcount=30

This is what i plan to do :
Download and flash TWRP for t329w
Transfer http://pan.baidu.com/s/122oNL (version 1) to SD Card and the recovery_signed.img and boot_signed.img to SC Card
Reboot phone to recovery
Choose Wipe then Swipe to Factory Reset
or the best is Select Advance Wipe, tick all except sdcard then swipe to wipe
Select Install and select the version1 rom.zip then swipe to confirm flash
Wait until the installation is finished
Reboot phone to fastboot and connect it to your PC
Open command prompt, lead it to folder where you installed adb and fastboot and issue commands:
fastboot flash recovery C:\recovery_signed.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
fastboot flash boot c:\boot_signed.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot

One last thing, I forgot to mention I had taken a NAndroid backup before installing the ROM. I restored it and did a full wipe/factory reset, but I think the kernel is the problem (it shows the kernel used by the single sim ROM)
So as of now, I'm just going to flash the boot and recovery, coz boot_signed should change the kernel.
Also, this folder contains other images such as radio, hboot, dzdata etc. what are these for and would they help?

After restoring Nandroid, just fastboot flash the boot_signed.img and reboot and see whether it boot. It should work if the custom recovery is working well for your device. No need to fastboot flash recovery_signed.img first. Just boot and see whether it works. If it works then only you fastboot flash the recovery_signed.img if you want to.
Don't worry about other images as you can't flash those on a S-On device.

What do you mean shows Error : Cannot open boot.emmc.win ? boot.emmc.win is created by a TWRP recovery only. If there is one you don't have to "open" it, just copy it to your fastboot folder
Now you mentioned you use nexus prime as the recovery do you mean you use NexusRecovery ? Can you list here the file names inside the nandroid backup ? I don't think you have boot.emmc.win in NexusRecovery

doesn't boot.
tried restoring the whole backup, doesn't boot.
even a wipe data/factory reset doesn't make it boot!
Will taking it to an HTC centre help? (I'm ready to pay some amt of money.)
Oh no... you don't know what fastboot flash means ? It is not using the recovery to restore boot. You need to copy the boot.img to your PC where you have all your fastboot files in a folder.
Try again this way as I don't have my PC with me. Replying to you with someone else PC.
In my ROM threads, you will see Boot.img_Installer_RCx.x.zip in post #1. Download any of them then do the following
1. Download theBoot.img_Installer_RCx.x.zip and extract it on your PC desktop
2. Reboot your DX to bootloader and connect to your PC (you should see the word "fastboot usb" in red color on the bootloader)
3. Open the Boot.img_Installer_RCx.x folder that you extracted, you should see a batch file Install Boot.img.bat there
4. Replace the boot.img with your boot.img (don't use the one that already in the folder). Try the boot_signed.img that you have, rename it to boot.img
5. Run that Install Boot.img.bat and when it stop just press any key to exit
6. Reboot
And yes, taking it to HTC centre will help but of course you need to pay them

Ohh, I just read it properly. I know what fastboot flash means. Using Android SDK > Platform tools > Shift+rightclick > open as command prompt > fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
I've already done it. This boot_signed.img in this thread seems weird.
After installing the custom ROM, restoring my nandroid backup, my phone was booting, but without the sim being recognized.
So I fastboot flashed the above (second post of this thread) boot_signed.img from c:\
But THAT boot_signed.img led to my phone being stuck in a bootloop > white start screen > turns black > try switching it on again > same thing
Hoped I could restore the nandroid boot using recovery advanced restore, but didn't work.
Will try fastboot flashing the MIUI boot.img (coz that's what was working initially, though without a sim, and the one in this thread's second post doesn't have a source), atleast that should get my phone booting. And will try searching for the boot of my nexus recovery backup, coz that will be the stock boot.img.
My last thing before I go to HTC .

While flashing in Recovery Mode I got the error 7 message, so the instructions were to do the flash of the rom through flashtool
Flashed the rom through flashtool
After reboot, it's stucked on the initial "FreeXperia" image and it freezes there
I can enter in fastboot and flashmode, but I tried to flash again the "MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf" firmware, but the only thing that changes is the "FreeXperia" colorful image to the standard "Sony" logo.
What can I do?! How come it doesn't boot?!
Please help.
Do following:
- Shut down your phone
- connect it to your computer in fastboot mode (with volume up hold)
- flash the boot.img which is inside the ROMs .zip
- Do your steps again (enter recovery, wipe etc)
I've flashed the boot.img of CM10 before.
Well, the problem is that I cannot enter recovery mode!
Only fastboot and flashmode

Ok, I could get into recovery mode. I just restored my rom backup (STOCK ICS with root and unlocked bootloader)
I followed all the instructions. Should I repeat the process and expect a different result?!

I have copied the CM10 zip into the phone (cm-10-20140113-UNOFFICIAL-pepper.zip)
Isn't this the rom I should flash in recovery?

Yup that's it, but first flash boot.img from the rom with fastboot.
Don't expect the phone to boot because this kernel is not comoatible with stock ROM go strait to recovery, do whatever is needed (factiry rest, clear dalvik and cache etc) as instructed in it's thread, and fash the zip

So, just to be clear:
I flash boot.img from the CM10 rom with fastboot using Flashtool, right?
Then, in recovery, I flash the CM10 zip file, correct?

Well, I still get the (Status 7) error. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
My only doubt is if I'm using the correct recovery. How can I know that?
My current recovery is CWM Touch v5.5.0.4 (modified CWM by Munjeni)
Honestly, I'm getting do reallly tired of this.
For 2 days I've been trying to install this ROM and I always get stuck with the /(&)(#$ "status 7" error.
Here is what I do step by step, so someone can point me in the right directions because, quite frankly, I just wan to throw this phone over the window right now...
1. After I get the "status 7" error I restore my rom backup, which brings me to stock ICS with unlocked bootloader and with root
2. I reboot in fastboot mode and, with Flashtool, I flash the boot.img I extracted from the "cm-10-20140113-UNOFFICIAL-pepper.zip"
3. I enter in recovery mode and wipe all the data/cache/delvik cache etc (I've also tried to do this BEFORE flashing the boot.img)
4. Still in recovery, I choose "Install zip from sdcard" and select the "cm-10-20140113-UNOFFICIAL-pepper.zip" (I've also tried to select this file without the boot.img file)
5. I get the status 7 error!!!!!!
Please help, as it is driving me nuts!
Redownload the ROM and try again. I'll give you a step by step instruction now:
- redownload the ROM and push it to your phones storage
- shut down your phone and connect it via fastboot to your computer
- Open the flashtool and flash the boot.img from the rom.zip via fastboot.
- after flashing, disconnect your phone from your computer, then wait some seconds
- Now power on your phone and enter recovery
- now you make a full wipe (wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache (advanced), format /system (mounts and storage)
- After the full wipe, try to flash the redownloaded ROM again
What exectly the status 7 is for, look at the log.
It fails right in the first assert line of code. I've also tried to remove the assert line, as suggested somewhere on the forum, but then I get a "Status 6" error. I'll try to re-download the zip file when I get home...

the assert n ro.product.device and ro.build.product? This should not happen with the recovery that comes with the ROM.
Well, that may explain it, as I'm not sure I'm using the correct recovery rom, as I didn't knew there was a recovery on this rom.
The instructions in the thread are:
Make a backup of your current rom
Wipe data/factory reset in recovery
Flash CM10 (If you get error 7 while flashing exctract the boot.img from the rom zip, and flash it via fastboot)
Flash Ultra Slim Gapps
Reboot & Enjoy!
So, I had to find a recovery ROM and that is what I did. So maybe that's the problem: I'm not using the correct recovery rom.
What can I do now to change it?

What recovery ROM, you only need to install thr boot.img from the ROM file.
What ROM are you trying to install(link)?
As stated in this thread, I'm trying to install CM10 (cm-10-20140113-UNOFFICIAL-pepper.zip).
My recovery rom is CWM Touch v5.5.0.4 (modified CWM by Munjeni)

Was I not clear enough?
Your recovery is probably missing those props and yould fail every time, you must use the recovery of the ROM.by flashint boot.img.
And I have asked a link for the ROM you dounload just to make sure it's props are OK, so I need a link.
If it don't let you post a link try to qrap it with code tags (the # button in thepost editor)
