Right so I recently changed to Omega 44.4 and I'm loving it however I've noticed that it's changed to emulated... I didn't wipe the internal sdcard when changing from 4.1 everything seems fine in terms of working, but with a rooted explorer I can see the sdcard and contents with an additional folder /0/ that also has the sdcard contents. And also noticed the /legacy/ folder...
So what's changed? I'm presuming that I don't have the sdcard contents twice. I nice technical explanation would be nice
Soooo with 4.1 I used directory bind but it doesn't work now... what are my options?

that's the way 4.2 works, use search.
directory bind won't work, try rootSU's script from the dev section

I just flashed the new 4.2.1 leaked firmware FMB3 and all the files in my in internal storage has been moved to a folder called "0"
Is there any way to solve it?

It's a feature of multi-user framework, so it's normal in 4.2 firmware

With 4.2 multi-user support there is now one internal storage folder per user for security. More information here (sorry, can't post links yet): android.stackexchange.com/questions/35541/why-did-sdcard-turn-into-sdcard-0-with-4-2
However, this should be transparent to all well-written apps. E.g. in File Expert the "SD Card" folder now points to /storage/emulated/0 for me. Apps should never relie on fixed paths e.g. /sdcard. See the Android Data storage documentation on this for more
I didn't have any problem with the apps. But when I reflashed the rom with odin, i got another folder called "0" inside the current one. So, each time I change the rom there's going to be a new 0 folder. Isn't that going to cause problems?

I recently put the CM10.1 ROM on my phone. There is a 0 folder where CM and all its files are (that is not my problem) But, when I boot into clockwork, the phone sees all the original folders as well as the 0 folder. Is there a way to safely delete the old files and folders that are not associated with the 0 folder?
Navigate to /data/media in cwm and then you should see a clockworkmod folder the 0 folder and a few others but /data/media is where you want to be
You should be able to delete the old stuff just make sure its all in the 0 folder first

if you do that you will lose everything on the internal sdcard... even the /0 folder and nandroids just use a file explorer and delete the stuff
i guess what I meant to say earlier was put all the stuff in the /0 dir that you want to keep and delete everything else BUT the /0 folder

What file manager should I use? the CM file manager as well as Astro could not see the original files...sorry, I am a bit of a noob :/

any file manager will work
can you take a screenshot and upload it here cause im not really getting what you are saying...
in the file manager it usually opens to the root directory "/" then you click on data then media
so you should be in /data/media
inside /data/media/ is what is known as the internal storage which if you flashed a cm10.1 rom will show the
/0 and then all of the rest of the folders that would normally be on the sdcard of the phone like the Downloads Pics music movies etc...
and when the cm10.1 rom got flashed it should have moved all of thoes folders into the /0 directory... so now everything should be in /data/media/0/(sdcard contents here)...
you can either flash back to a sense rom and take the files that were in the /0 directory and move them back to the /media directory and then delete the empty /0 dir or stay on cm10.1

Alright, I was running the stock sense rooted. When I flashed to CM, it left all of the files and folders from sense on /sdcard. CM is in /sdcard/0. For some reason, cwm can see the files and folders left over from sense. I can even flash them. But, when I try to use a type of file manager, it cannot go up any higher that /0. Windows and Mac also cannot see anything up from /0.
Hopefully that clarified my problem.
I was wondering what the Hell was up with this 0 file I've been using ES file explorer and can cut/copy files i recently went back to viper dna....ok so, if I paste all the files back can I DELETE the whole "0" file? Cause that **** annoying all my pictures are not coming up as they should when I go to gallery really annoying and I think I might have lost several pictures

Its a 4.2 multi user thing, its been covered a bunch of times. If you go back to 4.1 you can move your stuff out of 0 then delete it. Its the main reason I've been on 4.2 since call audio worked, I got tired of moving stuff back and forth.

In the op of cm10.1 there is a downgrade zip

But to be clear, if you are running 4.2.2, you need the /0 in the structure, else it won't work correctly. That is related to the new multi-user support in 4.2. You should only use the downgrade to get rid of them if you are going back to 4.1.

I'm still getting used to only having an internal sd. I always learned to wipe system, cache and dalvik. So after doing this and test driving a new rom I notice that internal sd was reset to default android folders and all my files were gone but on my PC my storage was still showing 7GB full. I poked around in the top level folder area and found all my stuff to be in data/media. Now I'm spending all this time moving 7GB of data back to /sdcard. Anyone know why this is happening? Is it TWRP or is it because I have an internal storage or something else?
Are you switching between Android 4.1 and 4.2 roms? They have different file structures
If you flash a 4.2 Rom everything will be in the /0/ folder

I went from viper to slimbean. So that would be 4.1.1 to 4.2.2. So to answer your question yes I jumped versions but any idea why sd contents went to /data/media? I may try another test flash to see if it doesn't on a different recovery or different version of TWRP

Your sdcard contents have always been viewable in data/media.
Nothing has changed except some stuff is within a /0/ directory.

Maybe so, however as I stated before my /sdcard contents aka my internal storage everything viewable through any basic file explorer was not present which in turn means TWRP saw nothing in my /sdcard. There was only the stock android folders that were all empty after the flash (notifications, alarms,pictures, etc.) A normal wipe and flash has never produced these results. I know about the /0 folder issue but this was different since that issue creates a /0 within /sdcard. There wasn't a /0 folder in /sdcard so that issue doesn't apply to my scenario.
So I saw that I had an SDcard0 file and an SDcard file. I deleted the SDcard0 file and it deleted everything on my SD card....how screwed am I? :/

If you have a backup made, your fine. If not, its lost.
Don't delete system folders unless you know what you're doing.

On a scale to one to ten? About a 8.
If you have rooted your phone, you can get an undelete app (like Fahrbot's Undelete for Root Users on the Market) and recover the folder... hopefully. There's a chance it won't catch the files or whatever. If you're not rooted, I don't think it would be possible to get them back, but I may be wrong (check Google, they may know).
In case you were wondering why this happened, I'll tell you. Android is based on Linux. Linux has these links to files/folders called symlinks. Now, for whatever reason it is, Android has multiply links to the sdcard (probably to help with compatibility). So while they may look like two different folders, they lead to the same place. Think of it as two doors to the same house.

If you are on a 4.2 ROM (One found in Original Development):
The SDcard0 and SDcard are all links to /Data/Media/0. Use a root browser to navigate here and see of your SD cards contents are here. I'm not sure if deleting a symlink will also delete its source, so you may still have the SDcard just not a way to access it without root permissions. If you can see your SD card in /data/media/0, PM me and I'll try to help you restore it. If you don't see anything here, or don't see your SD cards contents (before wipe), I'm sorry to say this but your pretty screwed.
