[Q] Phone Frozen in Aroma, won't reboot. - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I've held the power button for several minutes, the buttons blink but the phone won't restart. Any tips besides letting the battery die?

Try volume up and down together plus power button, works on One X+

Does nothing. :/ I got it to reboot via adb. Now it is stuck at splash screen and won't show up in adb.

Hold both power and vol down until the screen goes black, usually a second boot gets you back into the os
Remember to clear your dalvik and cache before you use aroma, these current installers bug out if it's not done.

Is there a way to force a reset without pulling the battery?

On my previous HTC EVO 4G when things when wrong (e.g. stuck in a boot loop) I could pull out the battery and then go into recovery (holding power button wouldn't work). Since you can't easily access the battery on this does anyone have a way that you could force it off in case something like this happens? Thanks

power button and both volume up and down for about 10 secs.
Another is power and vol down for 10 secs, then when the phone shuts off, let go of the power for one sec, then hold again. That takes you to the bootloader which you can get to recovery from

That works too but you get a screenshot in the process.
If you just want to force power off the phone, you can hold just the power button for ~8 seconds.

Power menu unavailable when holding the power button

Running CleanRom 2.5, my phone previously presented me with a Power menu when holding down the power button. This allowed me to either Shutdown or Reboot. Now, whenever I hold the power button down, it reboots automatically without offering me any choices. What causes this and how can I fix it?

you flashed something that broke the powermenu
only way to get it back is nandroid or reinstall cleanrom

yep, unfortunately, installing tweaks like AutoBrightness Patch or Tether Patch breaks the power menu.

[Q] Won't Boot Into Recovery

EDIT 2: FIXED, thank you Checkm8!
---
Original Question:
My phone won't boot into recovery by using the manual method. I can boot into it no problem using GooManager to tell the phone to reboot into recovery, but no by powering off my phone, then holding down the power button and volume up. The phone'll vibrate and say "RECOVERY BOOTING" in blue in the upper left, but the screen will just go black and the phone will boot normally after 2 seconds.
This isn't a big problem by itself, but my phone also seems to have a problem with wiping system on its own or something, because multiple times of rebooting my phone just to reboot, the phone won't boot at all. It'll just stay at the "Galaxy S4" splash screen.
EDIT: Flashing to complete stock using Odin doesn't fix the recovery issue, tried it multiple times.
I had a similar issue but it was my fault. I figured out later hold (in this order) volume up, home, and power buttons. Once the phone vibrates, let go of the power button but continue holding the other two until you see "Recovery Booting". Let me know if that works for you.

You are correct sir.... Its not like the S3 that you had to hold all 3 buttons until you saw "Recovery Booting"..

Thanks, that got it to boot into recovery! But now it's just sitting at the "teamwin" screen and has been for the past 5 minutes... I'm going to assume that it's a one time thing and carry on with my life regardless. but now I know how to boot int orecovery the right way! I had gotten it to boot when i first got the phone a few times but I guess I had since started doing it incorrectly.

[Q] Oh Crap, Did I Just Brick My Phone?

I was attempting to flash over a new ROM. The sense 5.5 that just released. using the fastboot/hboot wasn't working so I tried to install from TWRP recovery, still not working. I then wiped my phone and did a factory reset, including the ROM wipe on TWRP. It booted up without an OS and now I can only get the boot screen to appear but the phone won't shut off. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Hold the power button down until the screen turns off, then immediately hold the volume down button until it boots back into hboot. (You don't have to keep holding the power button after the screen turns off) other than that I have no idea what your post is about or what you were trying to do.

Thanks for the reply. At 1am, sometimes you just need someone to talk you down from the ledge!

I've had some issues trying to flash new 4.3 roms on new TWRP, install fails after few seconds, screen goes dark, then HTC screen w red dev text comes up, have to hold power button to restart into bootloader/recovery. Seems to help to reboot recovery after wiping and before flashing the rom for me

[Q] Stuck at HTC One logo

I added an Xposed setting (app settings) and changed one app to not have immersive mode.
I rebooted the phone (hard reboot) and now it won't boot past the HTC One Logo.
I cannot get it to boot into bootloader at all (power/volume down).
When I press the down volume, it vibrates twice fast, and then every time I push down volume, it vibrates. But I can't get it to boot into bootloader?
It is constantly on the htc One screen...
Any help?
