So none of you guys are on LTE? That's crazy, I'm on VZW LTE and getting about 10 down. Always amazes me that the HSPA+ crowd gets faster speeds than me. Jumping to TMo tomorrow morning and picking up all three of our reserved One's in the morning, and I'm actually in a TMo LTE market also. Will update speeds then
12.8 mbs down, 2.83 up.
So happy I decided to get the TMO version rather than the dev edition. I've had the worst speeds over the past ten months with my HOX in a reframed area.
Also, not in an LTE Market

It looks like there aren't any ROMs based on the T-Mobile formware. Are y'all getting the same data speeds on the international ROMs? Is there a tmobile radio to flash?
I know I have LTE around me so I am anxious to see what it shows.

What area of the country? I had VZW and had one of the earlier phones on their LTE network (Galaxy Nexus), and initially the speeds were crazy, like 40Mb/s down, 15 up. Over time, either due to throttling or congestion, it slowed down quite a but but was still a solid 15-20 down most of the time, fast enough for anything I was doing on my phone.
Curious how the early T-Mobile LTE network does. Should be pretty zippy. There's LTE in San Jose, about 40 minutes from me, so maybe one day I'l see... or maybe they'll roll out in San Francisco soon.
Ignore the speeds under 17...those ones were taken while I was in a basement at work. But all the others were taken out and about and in houses.

Getting 7-12mbps down / 1-3mbps up in South Seattle area. LTE hasn't launched here yet. Very soon tho (LTE has been spotted around Seattle).

I'm in Phoenix, AZ...... My VZW never got what other people were claiming for some reason, probably cuz I only got 2 bars of lte with them. Highest I ever saw though was about 15.
As stated before, I activated my One with TMo today and am in strong LTE area.......omg......
40 down, 25 up But that's coincidently when I was about 100ft from a tower.

so, it appears it does not matter which version (AT&T or int'l) version you use, you can still get close to the same download/upload speeds??

As long as the int'l version uses the same radio frequencies as the AT&T model, I don't think you'll have any problems with speeds. Make sure you get a new SIM card from AT&T for the "4G" network, though. My speeds increased fourfold when I got the new SIM card.

do you need to switch to a "4G" plan to get increased speeds (HSPA+)?
also, if you do, and if you are going to use an SGS II Int'l version, do you need to register an AT&T 4G phone to get that plan added? (i.e. an Atrix, Inspire, etc)?
I get 2mbs down and 1.5 up. Belleville IL. I have the 4g plan. Went to AT&T to check the Sim card and they said it was good.
Using AT&T version.

I think some have bad modems (just a hunch). I was just at my cor store because my speeds have been weak. Got a new sim, same speeds. Put my sim in my N1 and did a speed test against the floor model GS2. Out of 5 speed tests, my N1 was faster 3 out of the 5 (one by. 5Mbps and one by 1.1Mbps). That should not happen! I also put my sim in an Atrix and hit 6Mbps and the store manager even hit 7.2Mbps on his Atrix.
Anyone else noticing only 3G speeds on their GS2? I know its not my sim or my plan.

This question is for the t-mobile guys that have their AT&T phone unlocked. Do you guys pick up "H" icon on your display or does it go into 3g or just stays at "Edge".
And if no, what APN's or settings did you use to bypass the "Edge" network.
And for the folks that say "use the connection app" I've done it, which is why I'm here.
Anyone have trouble getting 3g/4g speeds on their debranded AT&T phones via other carriers?

No Titan variant anywhere has support for the 1700MHz band ("AWS") T-Mobile USA uses for their UMTS services.
T-Mobile is re-purposing some of their 1900MHz spectrum for UMTS; once that happens in your area you may get 3G/H on your Titan. Until then you will not.

Thanks for the feedback.
I am sorry bro. I was like the few first people who own the International Titan and use it with T-Mobile Bands, I stucked at EDGE/2.5G for all the time before i switched to AT&T so look like you are out of luck.
Sorry.
I can confirm that it is rolling out as we speak, I have the TITAN 2 from ATT using a Tmobile sim and i often get the 4G signal, this started about 5 days ago (September 5th) in the Maryland, Washington DC area. I even tested the connection speed and got a 0.2 Mpbs which actually allowed me to stream netflix on the phone. I was so happy to see that 4G hopefully it can be permanent soon. otherwise I always get the E (edge) slow speed.

I'm in the city and still see 2g on my phone =(.
Under Settings -> Cellular -> Highest Connection Speed, did you set to 3G? Otherwise maybe it hasn't reached your part of the city yet... Tmo forums are pretty set on having the majority of the country covered by Q4 so a few more months I guess...

Lucky y'all!!! There's this big ol donut hole in the state of Georgia and we're in it...No 3G...3.5G...imaginary (AT&T) 4G...and worse...AT&T has their Titans throttled back on Cat 8 so nothing to write home there. I'm returning to T-Mobile at the end of the month and keeping my Titan...and I'm more than aware it will only run on EDGE until T-Mobile "completely" reforms 1900 so all you folks in the big cities; you live in small town USA; it might as well be never. Wherever there's WiFi...the phone is a dream to use but no amount of flashing the Titan is going to change the fact it will only run on 2G if you have either the Straight Talk (T-Mobile) SIM card or T-Mobile SIM card in it...bottom line is T-Mobile is 1700 and a few of us won't see 1900 until we're dead.

I've hit 3g+ in the NYC area, typically in the lower west side of Manhattan. I guess it's slowly making it's way up.
I experienced T-Mobile 3G on a Titan in Redmond, WA yesterday. Got about 2.8Mbit download.
On AT&T I usually get about half that.
Denver 4G
Looks like T-Mobile is doing something in SE Denver right now. I'm starting to see 4G light up on my AT&T Titan phone.
Keep going T-Mo!

If your Titan I is unlocked, download Advanced Configuration 1.5 and within it you can toggle either 3G or H. That said, as T-Mobile refarms their GSM 1900 band, those cities will be able to use their AT&T Titans on 3G/H. It is expected to be in most T-Mobile markets by the end of 2013. I would encourage you to check out TMo News web page at www.tmonews.com for where they are rolling their high speed 1900 band out.
There is spotty 4g service in the NYC metro area now. It would be nice if it was where I reside at lol. I can deal with the wait. It's so much fun having 4g speed on the titan though.

Be lucky and happy then; we live in a donut hole in West Central Georgia (US) and there is no T-Mobile service here and where there is AT&T and what remains of All-Tel after Verizon Wireless and AT&T got of what Verizon Wireless had to divest; there is no 3G or H and where my kids live in Opelika, AL, not AT&T but T-Mobile and no 3G there. Auburn-Opelika I doubt is big enough to get the refarmed 1900 H band anytime soon. Though none of these carriers mind us paying for it anyway; amazing how that works; they ***** about some folks using their data up but do you think they charge those on EDGE less; nope!
actually getting good lte speeds yet? i am seriously considering getting a evo lte off ebay since u can get one just under 300 these days. i went into a sprint store and saw the 4g icon was active picking up lte but i did a speed test and it was about 1mbps on the download. is anyone seen actual lte benefits in austin, tx yet. i know it is all around us in houston, dallas and san antonio

where do you live and where are the areas where you frequent? LTE rollout has been slow but ive seen LTE in various places.
FWIW I live south of downtown in the SOCO area.
Buildout is predominantly in the Northern and northeastern areas (jollyville, cedar park, north mopac, round rock, etc) but by no means widely available.
Keep lte discussion to the already present threads please...

Since unlocking my AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 early May for the first time ever I seen LTE on my phone. I was driving from the Philadelphia Int Airport to close to center city Philadelphia and looked at my phone LTE. Amazing. Did use app speedtest.net but results are not lte speeds. Roughly 5meg down and 7 meg up so that is inconclusive. While on lte my email was not working it kept asking for passcode. Then closer to I476 at I95 I was back on 4G.
Is tmobile testing 4G in Philly market now? More interesting I have the regular firmware 1314 on this phone no modification.

what APN's are you guys using? i have a Rogers 920, and can't for the life of me get MMS to work at all! haha, (I'm on T-mobile prepaid)
I am currently wondering which phone works best for T-mobile's LTE. The Rogers version of the mega has the 1700/2100 band in some websites specs but some say only 1900 so im not sure if that will get tmobile's hspa+ or lte. On the other hand the metropcs version i believe uses the same bands as tmobile now so idk. Which one will work best with t-mobile or are they both equally the same and will both work on tmobile's lte?
I own the MetroPCS galaxy mega. I'm a MetroPCS subscriber. T-Mobile bought MetroPCS and MetroPCS is using T-Mobile's 4G network. So, technically, I'm using a MetroPCS mega on T-Mobile.
That said, I live in NYC and I normally get between 25 and 30mbps download and around 15mbps upload. I've gotten as high 42mbps down and over 20mbps up.
I haven't experienced any dropped calls and I've only experience occasional drops from LTE to HSPA+ (and when on HSPA+ my data speeds are around 15mbps down and 2mbps up). I've never dropped below HSPA+ in NYC.

It will. That's the one I'm using. I can't fully explain it because I don't feel like it, but go with the Metro PCS one. It will be better on T-Mobile's network because Metro PCS uses T-Mobile's towers. There's a thread on here that explains it better. The AT&T on isn't bad, but the Metro one works better.
