I know they turn on in low light but is there a way to keep them from turning off while in bright light??
many times I have wished they were lit so I can see them
I have been looking for the same thing!

Put a small, removable sticker over the light sensor on the top of your Rezound?
You can always get them to our come on, on demand, by placing your thumb or finger over the light sensor.

The ineffibilis gingerbread rom has the option to keep the lights on. ICS roms have them on all the time I think.
There's an app called keyboard backlight. It lets you keep them off or on all the time

well I'm not rooted so the only fix I see above is the "tape" fix or the "cover censor if you need to see them" fix.

Thanks for posting that, that app works perfectly.
I was using the mik tweaks in the inneffabilis ROM for this, but you have to reselect it every time you restart.

Weird, I have to uncheck then recheck the box after every reset.
Other people in the ROM thread posted the same thing.

Not the ics rom I am running. Desensed 3.8 and lights are currently off as I type this in the bright lobby of pennstation.

Blocking the sensor works, but...
I just tried putting a small piece of tape over the sensor and found that it works. The red buttons always stay on regardless of the ambient light conditions, however, during a call the screen will no longer go dark so that your ear, cheek, etc are no longer prevented from inadvertently clicking on anything. Obviously the sensor has a double duty.

Thanks for the app tip. Have you noticed any battery drain using it?
Haven't noticed any worse battery life since installing it

Or you could just turn auto brightness off?

Why would you want to do this though? I'm not trying to bash but that's gotta be a battery killer.

Sounds like a great app but just an FYI for the masses in case they missed it... it requires root. May be obvious but I thought I'd mention it. I'm not rooted so... :-(

Hey.
I'm so annoyed by the charging LED. Both the orange while charging and the green when fully charged! It's charging at my nightstand and can't sleep because of that light
Any app or hack I can apply to disable the charging indicator?
Try lightflow from market.

TI Have Tried Lightflow But It Did Not Work. Is There Any other Way To Disable Charging Light?
You can try putting a stub lights.semc to kill all LEDs.
The problem is I would still like to use the LED for notifications. I only want to disable it during night or/and while charching, Lightflow gives options for both, but is not able to control the LED on this phone.

Put a sock on it.
The LED shines thru.
Little bit of blutac/tape over the led at night?

Yeah! Playing around with tape at evening and in the morning sounds like THE solution! You may wanna to patent that idea!

Just turn it around... Tadaaa

Why dont you just use the leather cover that was given along with the phone. That should help.
I have the same problem, I wan't to disable the led during charging.
When I bought my phone, no leather cover were given with it. And I can't turn it around because at night it's charging on a dock...

Why is it that people love to give retarded suggestions on this site? Is it to increase the post count of some sort? The guy asks for a way to disable the led, NOT how to turn around the phone. It's NOT what he asked for so why would you pester his thread with stupid replies? It's so annoying thinking that you've found a thread where the 'issue' you are looking to solve, are being discussed, but then it's just a bunch of people with mockingly stupid answers.
It's either that or "why would you wanna do that?" replies, on this damn website. If you can't help addressing the issue, why make the OP think that someone gave him a useful reply in his thread?
/rant
In an attempt to help anyone else who might stumble upon this thread: If LightFlow works on your phone you should just set the flashrate on the "charging" part to have a humongous "off" time. You can't disable the LED completely but I've found that you can make it flash extremely slow for like 10 ms every 1 hour or something. It helps.
Hi
I hate to request things if I can't do it myself. Anyways is there a mod out for the DNA that allows NFC to be on while screen off. For example I have a NFC fan built into my wireless charger that opens an night stand app. It gets annoying when I have to make sure the screen is off. I would like it to be able to unlock the screen( I have no password) and then continue to its business(open the alarm clock).
Thanks

Ah. Ok. Well, you can accomplish a similar task but without using NFC from "Secure Settings": https://play.google.com/store/apps/...pYmxlb2JqZWN0LnNlY3VyZXNldHRpbmdzLnBsdWdpbiJd
At least, I think you can. I haven't dug into the app too much yet.

Need, or want? If the app launches your dock app when docked, doesn't that cover what you need? (Not that I care - want is fine, but... what does using NFC to launch the app buy you?

I am 99% positive I am going to be getting this awesome phone tomorrow but there are a couple nit picky things I was wondering about. First is there a way to get rid of the power saver notification? Can I get rid of the nfc icon in the status bar?
Last question what is the easiest way to get all my apps and data from my HTC one X to the new One?

You can use the backup app from htc which makes it very simple to get apps and data onto your one from the one x, but Im not sure if thats on the att version
I found if you long press rhe power saver notification and go into app info and force stop the power app the norltification goes away. Not sure how thats going to affect anything else or what happens on reboot but just thought I'd let you guys know
