Can't boot to fastboot/bootloader/recovery - HTC Droid DNA

Holding down the power + either or/and volume buttons boots the phone normally.
I have 2.04.605.2
I did send the phone in to get S-Off via JTAG, although I could never verify it being unable to boot to fastboot/recovery
I could never boot to fastboot/recovery with the current firmware
I took the OTA update the first day I received the phone
Any help would be appreciated.

Hold pwr button, click restart, hold vol down until you go into bootloader, do not let go until you get I to bootloader, even if you think it's not working.

Also you have to uncheck fastboot option from power settings and then power off. Btw have you tried adb reboot bootloader?

CWM recovery from power off?

I'm sure this had to have been addressed before but I can't find anything... Been searching for days now and still nothing..
Is there any way to boot into CWM recovery from power off? Like the hold x and power keys on the OG Droid.. I've tried holding vol up/down during boot.. up does nothing down brings me to the HTC boot loader and starts running the PG05IMO.zip update... I panicked and pulled battery before update started :-/ id hate to get stuck in a boot loop and not be able to boot into recovery if I'm not home to use adb to get into it...

delete the pg05img.zip off your sdcard, then power off the phone. Hold volume down + power until you get to the hboot screen then select recovery.
Thanks I actually did that while I was waiting for a response lol I guess writing my problem out helped me realize it might be searching for the update automatically.. I appreciate your quick response though

Booting to Recovery

I have an odd problem. I can re-boot into recovery just fine if I select Reboot into Recovery from within my ROM. However, if I have my phone off and just want to go straight into Recovery I'm having a problem.
Pushing Vol- and the Power button at the same time just gets me a regular startup of the phone instead of booting into Recovery. Am I doing it right?
Had the same problem when stock. Only way I could get my phone to boot into recovery then was to use the commands from the Rezound All-In-One Toolkit 2.0.
I currently have Amon-Ra 3.15 installed & am S-Off with CONROM V4.
Thanks,
CxP

The Vol- and Power button has to be done in a certain way.
I think you press Vol- first, then power, and make sure you hold both of them for around 5 seconds.
Make sure you have fastboot in the settings unchecked. Power off. Press vol - , hold, and press power and hold until you get hboot.

I cant boot on recovery mode.
Am i doing somthing wrong, when i press Volum Down + Power?
Its just boot normaly, but in homescreen say is "Safe Mode"
What to do?
pull battery, reinsert battery, hold vol. down, while holding vol. down, hold the power button down til u see your h-boot screen, when your there choose recovery. or u can download a app from playstore called quickboot, it'll give u all kinds of powering down options. including boot into recovery...

I think I lost my bootloader

So, my Maxx suffered a power button failure and I should be receiving my warranty replacement from VZW sometime in the next day or two. Other than the power button not working, the phone is functioning fine. It reboots, runs normally, functions perfectly. I'm running .215 rooted and I want to return the phone back to stock before shipping it back. Problem is I can't access Boot Loader, no matter what I try. It's like it's not there anymore and when I command the phone into it using quick boot, adb, or the built-in menu, the phone just power cycles off. Let me try to explain:
I have Quick Boot installed and I can use it to boot into recovery without a problem. If I try to boot into Boot Loader, the phones powers off and stays off.
I've tried adb shell with the same results. I can connect to my PC and command the phone using shell commands but usin the 'adb reboot bootloader' command results in the same thing: phone power cycles off and stays off.
Even though my power button is AFU, I figured out I can still access the main recovery menu (the vol down to choose, vol up to select one) by holding down the vol up/down and plugging the phone into a charger. Same thing: power cycles off and stays off.
* Funny thing is although my power button doesn't work, I can still soft reset the phone by holding the power button in and vol down - which is what I need to do to exit recovery or other menus I need to input to a prompt using the power button.
Anyone know of this happening? MY guess is since my phone starts and functions normally otherwise, the boot loader is still there in some form. I just don't know how to access it. Any help would be much appreciated.
I can confirm this app will reboot bootloader

If there is no bootloader you won't be able to start your phone at all as its THAT what basically boots the whole hardware and software....
How about adb reboot bootloader or adb reboot recovery commands ?

The bootloader being the phone's "bios" is kind of how I understood it so I'm figuring it's still gotta be there. I just can't seem to access it or get to the "device/battery OK, device disconnceted" menu. I tried adb reboot bootloader and got the same results: power cycle to off and stays off. adb reboot recovery works fine.
Knowing this phone is going to be turned back in, is there any other way I could re-install .211 without having access to the bootloader screen?

Try the eternity project flasher or the motorola's rds lite if they will be able to put the phone to the flash mode as they do that automatically...

I posted a thread over at DroidRAZR.com and got some good feedback and troubleshooting help. It looks like the bottom line is the power button failed in the 'on' postion. One of the folks that replied to the DR thread caused his device to show the same 'AP Fastboot power-off' that I was getting by entering the 'Boot Mode Selection Menu' and holding the power button down while he vol+ to select AP Fastboot. It caused me to look a little closer at what the device was doing and that seems to be exactly what's going on - I powered th phone down using the Quick Boot app and was able to soft reset by holding down the vol- key by itself (didn't need to press power in conjunction). After it SR and i released the vol- key, the device rebooted by itself.
For your info, that thread is here: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/3782-cant-access-boot-loader-menu-no-matter-what/
I tried working a thin piece of paper in around the button but no luck there.

[Q] Encryption failed, device bricked

Help!! I was attempting to encrypt my device when the process failed. Optimus G boots up and shows "Encryption unsuccessful". It gives me a button to tap to Reset phone and the button responds to tap but the device never resets. I've attempted to reset using Power and Vol down but as soon as I press power key and it shows confirmed, it seems to freeze the phone again. I have to press and hold power key to get it to reboot.
Any suggestions?

You should still be able to get to the Android recovery and do a factory reset.

I figured that's maybe what I've been missing. What are the steps to enter the stock recovery? I was only aware of PWR + Vol Down keys as an alt reset.

Turn it off then hold PWR + up to get to the bootloader then hit vol down twice (to select Recovery Mode since the menu is actually hidden) and hit the power button to select it.

Right. Sorry, I assumed you had CWM (with bootloader unlocked) installed. You can always use LGNPST, though I'm not sure if you need to have an unlocked bootloader. I'm sure another forum member can better assist you.
Since you're stock, maybe you can get it replaced via warranty? It failed using a standard menu item, shouldn't be an issue.

I had this issue as well. I used a different stock rom and it almost happened too. I just held the down and power button until I got the message to factory reset message. I did that and now i'm back to stock.
Forget what I said
If on stock, press Power+Vol Dwn, power, power yo accept. That does a stock reset.

Cannot boot to fastboot

as the title says. I cannot do it manually from the phone or with adb reboot bootloader.
I can get to recovery via adb.
How can I get the phone to hboot?
Just unlocked today, flashed TWRP and rooted. Everything seemed to be fine until I just tried to boot to fastboot so I install an img and then flash a custom rom.
**never mind, I was able t get to it from recovery...weird**
Can you Settings-Power and hook off the Fast Start
Hold Volume Down and press the power button for a few seconds
but hold volume down and still wait until Fastboot comes
