Now since Jelly Bean has been announced for Xperia P and Xperia GO, is it possible to port the firmware for Xperia U?
Yup developers are probably working on this already

Can a 512MB 848x480 device run smoothly JB???
Or better get optimised ICS?
I can tell you that Xperia U runs JB realy well 10 times faster than ICS for sure

Is there any Jelly Bean ROM for Sola out there?
I'm only seeing ICS roms, where's the CM10 roms?
The other Xperia phones (besides the S) have not been ported to CM9. I think we have to wait until CM9 gets the sola before CM10 does. Unless there is a JB rom leak for the sola.
Oh my, really? I thought that the Xperia line had all support from CM team
Xperia Sola was the smallest phone I found that's better than my Nexus One, going to search for another one.
Thanks
If I remember correctly CM9 and CM10 are both being worked on, they're separate projects being maintained but I'd expect CM9 to get greater focus since our ICS release.

One month ago FXP ported cm9.1 for the P and on their website they said U, Sola and Go - supported, work in progress...... So we will get cm9 and cm10?

Looks nice.
ive seen post that xperia U can copy the JB of xperia P if it became available, does that mean that xperia U can get xperia P's white magic(or something like that dont know the exact name)? or can it run on xperia U without having a problem on xperia U's illuminating bar? thank you very much in advance.

Ha, sry, it's for XP U, my mistake...
It can't get whitemagic because it's basically a hardware feature - XP has an LCD RGBW screen (additional white subpixel).

yes whaitemagic is sony's "IPS" screen, its nearly the same thing just the name is whitemagic for marketing
hmm im just thinking that if sony doesnt really provide JB to xperia U, is it possible to make the JB of go and P to xperia U and make it looks like it is an official JB for xperia U? i really like the UI of sony, it is unique for me compared to other android device.

I don't think JB would be good for device with 512 Ram. ICS itself overweight for 512 Ram.

Nope its not
There are alot of devices wid 512mb ram being updated to or will be updated to jelly bean
I agree JB can be ported to device with 512 Ram. But the available Ram for user would be less and android keep killing the process when memory goes below the kill bit level. I am facing this issue in Ics every time i browse using stock browser or Ucs.

i dont think so also, xperia go and J is going to have it, they have 512 ram too, and based on what ive seen, JB is lighter than ICS.
Try This tweak Bcoz it made my cm10 (fxp208+Fusion 4.5) super smooth and snappy even with cm10 themes.
disable all settings e.g cpu, io, surface improvement, zram, kernel samepage merging, purging assets from performance section in settings. also disable all from rom control if u r using AOKP.
I'm using antutu cpu master pro 1Ghz smartassv2 + Sio
dalvik vm heap size 48m
now the main thing
open rom toolbox pro
and apply these settings in memory management of rom toolbox pro shown in the screenshot. you can change these if u want to but these settings gave me a super snappy cm10 with minimum lag.
Hit thanks if i helped you.:good:
Hii bro...how r u? Those settings will make the running snappy but won't allow any multitasking...i think.

May be...by the way...don't u love your phone? Why are you killing it? Even if u replace it after sometime...you ain't doin justice to it. What if you are given a burden that's manageable to u but not to your health over a period of time? Your health will start degrading and eventually you will end up early.

I believe already a lot of tweaks are in it and adding any tweak which you aren't sure of would ruin the existing config and would make it laggy.

Hi Andro.Catalyst and Unisol,
Pls try out Super Jelly Bean or Slim bean in Neo V dev forum. you'll definitely like it. Lot better in gaming than gb and smooth as well with around 180 - 200 MB ram.

Since the device is getting closer to the Jelly bean update, wont they normally show a video or something just to show people how it runs on the device? If one of you do have content about it running the JB, I'd be glad to see it too. I'm kind of curious about it.

Well, hard to believe but it is. When I have time, I'll test it.
Going to test it out in a bit, waiting for the download to complete.
If it works well enough or lagg free enough I'll report back asap.
Don't expect much but any 3D that works well on low end devices is appreciated xD
If it could run on PS2 how it could not on our smartphones.
