MK808B newbie questions! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've just bought a MK808B android mini PC from geekbuying.com,should be delivered within 2 weeks.I'll use it mainly in my bedroom as that TV has 2 HDMI outputs. However my main TV is an older flatscreen with no HDMI ports. It just has the old scart connections and VGA connection.
-Is there any way I can use the MK808B on the older TV?Do I need a special HDMI to scart adapter?
-Can I plug it into the USB port on my DVD player and then connect to TV through scart?
-Can I use it through my Xbox 360?

[Q] Webtop/HDMI/Dock Questions

1. So I've heard that a HDMI cable works the same way as the HD dock, does it let you open theater mode(forgot the actual name) or hdmi mirroring with just a cable?
No mirroring yet. Theater mode pops up as an option when plugging in a HDMI cable. with a long enough cable it works as a great remote control.
2. Does the 'Theater' mode play video that was not created on the device?
Yes, but you should check the supported codec list on motorolas website, I have had some problems with some obscure audio codecs.
3. Does the Android window in webtop mode let you scale the app or is it a fixed size?
Yes its scalable, but there is borders on the screen that prevent it from stretching to the entire screen
4. Has anyone tried using storage(such as a keydrive) or wireless keyboard/mouse(2.4GHz not bluetooth) in the usb ports on the HD dock or the Laptop Dock?
FAT32 usb drives seem to work, haven't gotten to try a usb 2.0 hdd. Wireless 2.4GHZ peripherals work fine.
so HDMI mirroring is out i know that but still havent been able to test any of the rest of this in my trip to AT&T, as someone had locked the fingerprint reader to their print lol

try an hdmi to vga adapter.

[Q] S III as a Miracast TRANSMITTER dongle

Hi All,
I use an SIII to output wirelessly to my Miracast-enabled TV, through Allcast share.
I also have an old laptop, which doesn't have Miracast/WIDI hardware.
I would like to use the SIII as a Miracast transmitter dongle, to output the screen of my laptop to my TV, using the Miracast hardware of the SIII.
So far I have been able to do so by installing the Nomachine NX server on the laptop, the NX client on the SIII, establishing a connection and then activating Allcast.
It all works (audio and video), but it gets a bit laggy and stuttering when I try to stream videos from websites, as the CPU load on the laptop maxes out.
I was wondering if there's any more efficient way to do so, getting rid of some overhead and lag? Either through USB connection or WiFi?
Thanks in advance for any thought
Regards
I am interested in this topic too.
Is there a Wireless Display TRANSMITTER or TRANSCEIVER which can be plugged into the HDMI or USB port of any non-WiDi laptop so that the screen can be mirrored to my Miracast receiver device?

[Q] MK809III TV Stick and usb hub

Hi all, I have a MK809III tv stick with Android 4.4.2 running. I use it as a mini PC with a LCD screen. I have attached to its USB OTG ports a quadrate 2.0 4 ports USB HUB (google for this and you can see it) , and connected to it, a PS/2 keyboard (using an usbtoPs2 adapter), an usb mouse, a usb ethernet dongle, and a usb sound card dongle. When I use this combo, all works fine, the mouse can drag and select, also wheel works, the keyboard works fine, the ethernet run smooth, and the sound works as player and mic recorder, the only thing not works is to reboot the tv stick, and launch android again (with other MK89III tv stick this also works flawlessly), to get this, I must to unplug RJ45 or usb ethernet. But this last question is not my main problem. The main problem is that I can not make the combo work anyway if I change usb hub model, If I use a 2.0 usb square hub (no name brand) with a little blue led installed, all works fine, but using other hub (I have tested two others), thare is no way to work. The main situation is that the hub stops work, and all item connected not works at all. But commonly, mouse works with a bad behaviour in button response, usb sound disconnects suddenly, or usb ethernet lagg or not works at all. My question is about this behaviour with usb hubs, if there is a special requirements in hardware to match an usb hub with this kind of android devices, or if thare are some drivers that can solve this.
Thank in advance.
Solved
I have solved the two main problems in order to use my MK809III RK3188 as a mini pc with usb hub and rj45 ethernet. The hub must to be a chip on board one, no an all-in-one glued ultra-cheap type, this is a mark of better quality and response, then you can conect keyboard/mouse, usb or ps2 with usb converters, usb sound, and usb pendrives. The ethernet must be an ASIX AX88772C, this a true usb ethernet 100mbps (7MB/s real) device, since I use it there is no lag, no boot errors, no delays or shorts in Tx/Rx. That´s all.
