[Q] OTA Update on Rooted international HTC One X+ - HTC One X+

Hi guys
I have rooted my International HTC One X+ but it still with a STOCK rom and CWM recovery.
Today I got OTA update but I cant install it on my phone. (the known error where it goes to the CWM recovery with a red triangle)
I just want to know how can I apply the OTA update on my device? (I understood I need a recovery.img but I dont know which one I need...)
any links to tutorials specific to the HTC One X+ would definitely help.
Thanks alot!

s-off is not yet possible I think.
You can unlock your bootloader and root your HOX+ with HTCDev.
Before you do anything you need to read and understand first what needs to be done. S-Off is not possible now.
Before you do anything, make sure the phone is fully charged.
First you have to unlock the bootloader via www.HTCDev.com Be aware that the internal SD Card is wiped, so backup any music/photos/files you want to keep.
Then you need to install one of the recoveries available for the X+ and make a backup of your stock ROM (the one your X+ is shipped with).
Then you can either just root your stock ROM, or install a Custom ROM which normally are rooted. Custom ROMs are ATM only for the intl. One X+ available. The AT&T version of the One X+ will get them soon!
Because of the S-Off issue it is necessary that the boot.img of the ROM you want to install has to be flashed seperately in fastboot mode.
You access the hboot/fastboot screen by power off your phone, then after a short while press Vol (-) and Power button together and hold them until you see the white screen with the hboot/fastboot screen.
Please start reading here which explains how to unlock your X+. That tutorial is for the HTC One X but basically the same.
Please be aware that you need for the One X+ this recovery or this which are both installed via Fastboot.
After you made sure to do a backup, you can install a custom ROM via the recovery.

Have to second this part.
All I needed at this point was free tethering on ATT.
After using hasoon2000's tool, I was able to follow the instructions in the Q&A area for how bypass ATT for tethering.
It just puts the stock ROM back in, which is a good ROM.
Won't bother to flash it until folks come up with stable ROMS's that have extra tweaks I want

I'm stepping flash custom recovery thanks to you.
bwt, I heard that boot.img can't be flashed in s-on status. is it right?
(I saw the message "S-ON devices can't flash boot.img in recovery, so you need to flash it manually")
How do i flash it 'MANUALLY'?

[Q] Custom Rom from o2 UK Stock since hboot update released....? ?

Hi All,
Apologies if the has been asked already but I was unable to find an answer to my question.
I have an O2 HTC One X Plus (CID 02__001) which WAS on Hboot 1.30 but is now on hboot 1.35 since the OTA update 1.17.206.1 came out in the UK not very long ago
I know there was an issue being able to use a custom ROM with the older hboot. Will I now be able to flash a custom ROM to my phone (I am eyeing up Android Revolution HD 6.2)??
Or is it too soon ?
You now have the latest hboot. So you can flash any international custom rom you want

Fantastic. l assume I don't need to do the firmware thing the instructions mention just the boot image and Rom itself?

Yeah just flash the boot.img then boot into recovery and flash the rom. If i was you i'd do a nandroid of your stock rom first though.

[Q] HOX X+ International unlocked, rooted factory restore?

Hi,
I'm looking for a little help please. I have an international HOX X+ (on O2 ) that I unlocked and rooted using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213910&goto=newpost
At the time I did not want a ROM installed, just root so thats all I did. Since the release of Android 4.2.2 I wanted to get that installed, clearly the OTA update will not work with TWRP installed and I tried the Insertcoin 5.0.5 ROM, as that has all I need. But it simply fails with unable to load zip. (iirc)
Soo, I want to get my phone back to stock image - no twrp so that I can perform the OTA update and then re-root. Is this possible?

[Q] Stock, rooted, TWRP installed... Can't reinstall Stock Recovery

Hi...
Like the subject line says, I have an AT&T branded HTC One M8, I have unlocked using the HTC site, got root, and have TWRP installed... All working fine, but I want to get the latest OTA update, and haven't been able to get the stock recovery reloaded...
I have reviewed the threads about returning to stock, but they all seem to be for devices that are S-Off, and my device is still S-On...
Could someone give me the proper steps and proper order to be able to get the OTA updates?
Thanks in advance!
