What Is The PS 1&2 Boot Animation?

PS2
WORKS ON ALL ANDROID DEVICES
Installation:
➣1) Install BusyBox
➣2) Copy PS1/2_Boot_Anim.zip to your SDCard
➣3) Reboot into ClockWorkMod Recovery
➣4) Install The Zip
➣5) Wipe Dalvik Cache & Cache
➣6) Reboot Android And leave it for 5 Minutes
➣7) Reboot Again
➣8) Enjoy The Classic Boot Animation!
If Sound Dosent Work:
1.) If that dosent work, open up the Flashable zip and go to /system/media/bootanimation and copy it to the dekstop and extract the contents to a folder and then rename bootanim.mp3 to androidaudio.mp3 and move that file to the previous folder (/system/media) and place it their then zip the archive and flash it!
2.) If that dosent work, open up the Flashable zip and go to /system/media/bootanimation and copy it to the dekstop and extract the contents to a folder and then rename bootanim.mp3 to PowerOn.mp3 and move that file to the previous folder (/system/media) and place it their then zip the archive and flash it!

I don't think so, i flashed so many themes from arc and neo forums even just bootanims and some of'em had bootsound... On stock kernel!!
May be there's something wrong with the files???

Hmm, weird. Anyways, I know how to do it.

Boot Sound
1. Using your file manager browse to system > sounds > poweron
2. Rename the file PowerOn.mp3 to PowerOn.bak
*If you just want to disable the power on sound you can stop here.
3. Browse to the location of the mp3 you want as your new boot sound.
4. Rename it to PowerOn.mp3
5. Copy it to system > sounds > poweron
6. Reboot and enjoy

Exellent!!! But now i can see why the boot sound don't work for me.... No there isn't system\sound folder in Gin2Jelly 2.0.8 :crying:

You can still make the folder and have it

Doesn't work for me, what is the permission for the folder and the mp3 file? rwxr-xr-x (folder) and rw-r--r-- (mp3) ? Thanks.

Any chance this works on other phones, more specifically the HTC one x. Just came accross this thread from the homepage of the xda app .
Edit: tell me what to look for when checking compatibility for my phone. E.g. folders and files in root folders.

Yea it will work on any Android device but sound will work automatically on any CM based rom or any AOKP based rom,C:
