[Q] Where do I put the .apk & .odex files ?

Deleted a pile of needed apps apparently from my phone which caused a bunch of force closing and process errors. Tried three different restore methods and the dial in code worked. I have the original .apk and .odex files for the galaxy I just dont know where they go.
You question(s) is/are not clear. Please rephrase / be more specific. What are you trying to accomplish? Also, rather than post again below mine, please just edit your original post (OP) above.
Clicking the .apk should install it, but file wise its in system/apps/
Thanks, do you know if I need to move the .odex files on there somewhere ?
Before I THINK I saw odex in the same place but now,i can't find it...
Wait till someone else responds
Thanks again, after the reset I only have two folders available internal to the phone. Just dropped all the .apk files in the phone and guess I'll see how it goes from there

[Q] How to sign an entire ROM

Hello all, I'm trying to sign a ROM, I made changes to the AndroidManifest.xml of the SystemUI.apk and now need to sign the entire ROM for it to work correctly. The problem is there are several different keys that need to be used to do it right. The platform key, shared key, media key, etc. The question is, is there a list of the files or someway to find out which files in the system folder belong to which category? You can sign the whole ROM with a test key but this isn't the proper way to do it, I am just trying to find out which apks get signed with which key type. I've went through all of the AndroidManifest files but they don't really give enough information, plus I've google searched and there is no information as to which files belong to which category. Some files are obvious and others aren't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to securely delete files on Android, pc, windows and mac

Hey,
I haven't proven this yet but I think I've got a method for securely deleting files on any OS. The reason people need to do "secure delete" rather than simply deleting files is because this only removes the directory to those files, a fact that can be exploited by anyone motivated to see whatever file it is you're trying to trash, Complex programs that can be used do some sort of shuffling to accomplish a more secure delete. This is all necessary until the space is used up again, at which point it can't be storing both the old and the new file.
All you gotta do is:
take any group of files,
copy and paste them repeatedly
keep filling in the free space until there's none
delete copies
jobs done
I'd love to know if and why this isn't true, it does seem too simple. Anyone know how to extract deleted files (to test it)?

Is this Android bug? An app can make a file without files and media permission

I am from Indonesia. One application from a locally popular market place called Tokopedia is able to create a file in /Music folder without files and media permission. The file name is au_uu_SzH34yR2.mp3. There are numerous postings in several discussion forum questioning the file. No one has any idea about the file. Some said that the Zomato app also created the file in the same folder. In SoundCloud there are many files with the same exact name.
I just found out that this Tokopedia app creates the file every time it runs although I only allow Phone permission. It can be found in my /Music folder in my two phones. One is Poco X3 NFC with Android 11 and another is Samsung A7 2018 with Android 10.
Anybody has any idea about the file? Is it possible for an application to create a file without the files and media permission? Or is it because the Phone permission?
Trashware apps are a dime a dozen.
If you have any doubts about it or don't like what's it doing, ditch it.
Keep shopping and social apps off the phone. If they need to run as an app on the device, you don't need them. Nothing but trouble.
