I just flashed a ROM over in the standard HTC One section, but I am still wondering how we could get back to T-Mobile's stock ROM? I have noticed that WiFi calling is gone on this ROM and it can't seem to connect to my WiFi so if it continues to screw with me I just would like to go back to stock until something better is released.

I was in the same situation too. Someone pointed me to a stock nandroid backup since there is not offical stock rom available yet. Did the restore and now I am back to stock with the wifi calling and everything seems to be working like before. search the forums because I seem to find it again. sorry
You should know the answer to you question.... It's called NANDROID backup.
Everyone knows there is no stock ruu.Or stockish Rom yet for our device it's to new just yet.
Unless you can get a NANDROID from someone you might not be able to get stock back..for awhile
The safest way to always rely on stock is to "backup stock "before flashing anything.
It's normal procedure usually .

I'm running the latest version of MIUI, 1.7.15 from MIUI.us and I'm trying to access the service menus but the codes that worked on Froyo and stock Gingerbread aren't working. What I'm trying to do is put my phone in Modem mode.
The only codes I am aware of for MIUI are *#*#MIUI#*#* and *#*#4636#*#*. Neither of these brings up the menu I'm looking for. Does anyone know how to get the Fascinate into Modem mode?
Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
I think I remember reading a post on cm7 from jt...anyways, the post said that cm7 couldn't use service codes because its a feature missing from the rom, whereas it works fine on lots of other roms. now since miui has a base of jt's cm7 its not too far fetched to think this may not be possible unless it can be added to the rom. .the post was talking about using qpst to get at the modem just like you are going to do . but I could be wrong

That's what I was afraid of. I've been trying to find an answer to this for close to 2 weeks but was unable to, so thanks for the answer.
Next question... If I were to flash back to stock Froyo and change the setting in QPST I need changed, do you think the setting would stick if I flashed MIUI? I'm thinking this probably won't work, but I figured I'd ask. I'm not sure that I want to go through the trouble unless someone can confirm that this will work.
Thanks again.
have you tried flashing back to froyo ? i did it by the way, guess what..the 3G data works normally. so i think the problem is not about programming menu, any idea ? i'm a non-vzw user, i bought the phone from ebay and use it in Indonesia
Yeah. I flashed back to stock Froyo, changed what I needed changed, and flashed back to MIUI but it wiped the settings and I definately don't want to stay on stock froyo so I will just deal with what I have.

Anyone happen to know, or even a guess why telus would remove the GB update from their site. I've read about people have various problems with the updating, but from what I read, those problems were PC related.
Mine worked just fine.
I also have a question... is it possible to dump a stock rom and/or radio and/or kernel without having root?
Thx
Maniac
Can anyone confirm if this is true?
That is sort of strange. Im glad I was able to get it in time. And rooted too
People were losing SD cards on telus also.

Can anyone tell me how I can rip the rom, cause I've tried the method found on these forums for the fascinate for froyo, but when I tried to odin it back it didn't work.
So right now I'm almost afraid to shut the phone off just in case I can't boot and I have no way to get it back to stock GB.
Mainly what I want to do is make a factory image that I can put somewhere for others to download it. Cause I want to try some things but I can't until telus puts the update up again.

I think Telus was getting all kinds of questions on when it would be available when they had no control over it - so they made a generic upgrade page.
I just tried with Kies and I got GingerBread BUT I'm also staring a long time at a galaxy S screen - lost my clockwork mod recovery as well (back to stock 3E).
Hmmmm - anyone know if this update is still available online somewhere as I have no OTA to get it and of course as the thread says... TELUS has pulled it.

I'm pretty sure to upgrade through the Samsung Kies software, you will have to remove any mods / hacks that you made to your phone.
Best option probably is to flash everything back to Stock, which I did. Then had no problem updating via Kies:

Alright I'll give that a shot tonight, the only 'mod' I have done would be rooting the phone - other than that it is stock at this time.
I guess the one thing I really shouldve mentioned in my first reply is I have the Fascinate 4G with TELUS, is the update specific to the 3G+?

Oh wait! If you have the Fascinate 4G+ (T959P) then you may not want to flash everything back to 2.2.
I'm not 100% sure that it may work with 4G Fascinate.
Can anyone validate the following steps will work on his Fascinate 4G+ ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=923712
They are different phones. If you could get the 3G+ file to flash at all (which I doubt), it would almost certainly semi brick the phone. There is an update section on telus website for fascinate 4G (just below the 3G+ entry) (no update available today). When you see the update available there, you're good to go.
I have the 4g and I won't flash anything made for the 3g. Two different phones. I remember reading a thread about people bricking the 4g while trying to put 3g stuff on it.
if i Resinstall ICS Leaked Version or Restore my I717 to Stock GB -
Will all MODS go back to normal ? for example , boot logo, CTR animation , Modems/Radio/ etc ... ?
i basically want everything back to NORMAL and start all over again .
for some reason when i installed ICS Alpha 2 or Beta 2 whatever is called , i cannot make or receive phone calls , yet i can send and receive txt messages and surf the web at 4G LTE
If you are planning on using Da_G's stock, you may have to flash the ATT kernel to get the stock bootani.

Not if mobile data works.
I am kinda new to all this. I just inherited the thunderbolt from my brother bc my other phone is dead. I am rooted and s-off running santod's Official Thunderbolt ICS deoxed debloated. My question was if I am able to switch to one of the older ROMS like NuSense ROM or UnSense ROM or anyone for that matter that I feel like. I know the process of flashing since I have gotten this far, but I don't want to flash these and then be in some sort of loop with problems.. Thanks in advance:good: Also are radios universal or.. I keep seeing people say just try a different one?
You can flash any ROM you like.
As for radios, look in the post about the ROM, they usually specify what radio is best for that ROM. The newest radio is defiantly needed for the new crop of ICS ROMs based on the official OTA as the older radios cause issues.
Only thing I can add to the first response... Always make a backup first. So when you somehow get into a bad flash/bootloop situation, you have an easy way back to a working device. Also verify your download by checking it's md5 code before you flash. Almost (if not all) files you download will have it listed with the download link on the forum op you're getting it from.

It's not your phone but the Rom itself. That's a known issue with cm roms on this phone.

Well to start of, I purchased a second hand Samsung Galaxy S4, I did check that everything was working and it was working correctly, until I tried to put the phone on airplane mode to charge it and tried activating the WiFi to keep on using it. (Note: The Wi-Fi was working before I put the phone on airplane mode.) It was strange so I turned off airplane mode and tried to turn Wi-Fi on once again and it didn't enable. So I went ahead and rebooted the cellphone and no luck. I didn't pay much attention until I got home, where I decided to restore to factory settings and yes, the Wi-Fi started working, but only for a few hours, I decided to do the same and it appeared to be working, but then again it stopped working and from that point no luck either. I looked up some possible solutions such as hard-resets, removing the battery, waiting for a while, etc, various methods and no luck. Bluetooth has the same problem but I really don't use it. The phone is unlocked and appears to have a different stock rom, as when it turns on it has "Claro" as a greeting which is a spanish network company. I am not sure if this affects in anyway but I am trying to give as much information as I can, any help would be excellent so I would surely aprecciate any help at all, thanks. :crying:
For a start, try flashing a different custom rom that is available on samsung galaxy s4 forum. If you dont know how to,make sure to read the frequently asked question that is made available in the forum. If that doesn't work, you need to flash the stock/official rom. That should do the trick. But that might lock/unroot your phone.

Okay I'm going to flash a custom rom, but just in case it doesn't work, would you be able to help me find the original stock rom? I'm not 100% sure of the original network and like I said it looked to be flashed to another rom which was not the original, once I'm done with the custom rom I'll give you some feedback, thanks!

Just to make sure, does the kernel affect the WiFi in any way? Because I noticed some red letters on the top left-hand corner saying something about the Kernel, and I have read about flashing the kernel which I don't understand..
