[Q] Problem in Stock Volume, always silent - HTC One X+

Hi Everyone,
i have International HTC One X+, stock ROM not rooted ... you can say .. i didn't change any things (ROM, Recovery etc) since i purchased ... a Virgin phone
i have that problem only last week where i noticed i miss a lot of call, then i found that the phone always on zero level (with no silent icon in notification), even i change the volume using the volume keys, it's not changing the volume level for ringtones .. media and alarm ringtones can be changed, and i can hear the music and the the alarm, but not the ringtone.
i had Audio Manager Pro app and then i uninstall it .. still the same issue.
i go to Setting > Sound then i change the ringtone, once i press OK it's again goes to zero
Can anyone help me here,
Thanks

Phone Vibrates for incoming call, but no ringtone

Phone: 8525
ROM: WM6
Problem history: Started 2 months after upgrade from WM5
Backed-up using SPB and did a hard reset and problem continues. (Perhaps I backed up and reinstalled the problem as I didn't check for ring before restoring.. doh!)
OK, I know what you are thinking and yes I have settings set for Vibrate AND Ring under sounds and whne I click play for the test sound it rings and vibrates, but when a call comes in it vibrates and a very low hiss comes from the speaker intermittently.
When set to ring only I get only the intermittent hiss.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem several times. Has something to do with a registry setting. I think it was a3pw0 and Setacousticparam. Which ROM do you use?
Try flashing updated WM6 ROM.
Double check the volume in the speaker icon at the top of the home screen. I was so used to using the HTC homescreen i fogot and had the same problem after i altered it. Just double check the right hand slider.
I know its obvious so sorry if you tried it
Good luck fella
Low Volume stetting
Hello
Had the same Problem several times and the solution was always the volume slider which was down. I think the HTC Home makes this sometimes automatically when you have a date in your organizer. But I don't have the automatic Profile setting. I don't know how to solve this instead of setting the volume up again.
Greetings Pudl
no ringtone
l have the same problem change radio
I had the same think happen on my wifes Prophet, ended up being hardware problems.

[Q] Volume issues with notifications

Is anyone else having issues with the volume level on their notifications. I have checked all the settings under notifications and the volume is max, plus changed to different tones. But most of the time I hear no sound when a text comes in. I have not installed that many apps or rooted the phone yet. Am I missing something. It seems to come back after restart but doesnt last long. It worked great for the first week.

[Q] Why no dialer key sounds?

Hello all,
I searched on the forum and the closest anyone had to my problem was having no phone audio at all.
The issue I am having is my key presses in the dialer make no noise when placing the call and no noise while on the call.
Example is I call at&t and I press 1 for this or 0 for that and the keys make no noise so Im not sure if the autophone system is registering my choices.
I am on stock rooted rom and shouldn't have any apps that effect the dialer.
I have checked in the settings and the options are checked for it to make sounds and vibrate on keypress.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Make sure your system volume is up and that "Audible touch tones" is checked.
This is my fourth android phone btw. I've checked all the obvious stuff for why I wouldn't be hearing it. All the other keys in every other app work as they should.
Well the only reasons you wouldn't be hearing the keytones on a stock ROM is either the setting is unchecked or that the volume for system sounds is off. I am on a custom ROM and the sounds are working. So this would mean the issue is one of those, or for some reason files got corrupted. Back up your stuff, and try restoring your phone to factory settings.
So I switched my keyboard from the stock samsung to the stock android and now it works without having changed anything else. This is weird.
I have always found it annoying that I am not able to hear tones dialed while in a call on the GS2.
On my Captivate this was an option, and it actually worked.
On the GS2 there is an option for audible touch tones, but it must only control tones when dialing a number, but not while in a call (ie. when using an automated system etc).

Low volume for alarms/ringtone

Hi all,
Bit of a question here.
I've just upgraded from a Galaxy S3 to the Xperia Z2 and overall I'm loving it so far. It's just such a huge difference. Only thing I'm missing is a screen protector (As soon as I removed the peel from the one included in the box it just seemed to suck dust from the air and became impossible to put on without dust and bubbles being under it ) but overall it's a great experience.
The only issue I have is that, compared to my S3, and compared to the volume that games/videos can reach, my ringtone and alarms seem to be very low volume, even when the volume is turned up to maximum.
Is this something others have noticed?
I've tried several alarm apps, the stock one, Alarm Clock Plus and Alarm Clock Xtreme Free but all of them put the alarm at the same level which just isn't as high as I could get from the S3.
Does anyone know of a way to boost this? The alarm in particular is what concerns me the most, since I use my phone as an alarm clock to get up in the mornings for work. At the moment I'm a tad paranoid so keeping my sim-less S3 as a backup alarm to go off 5 minutes later

Not possible unless Sony updates their firmware.
Needs root to change the gain levels.
me to I've just upgraded from a LG G2 to Z2 and i have same issue the notification/ringtone very low
Hm. Well, for me, my alarm wakes me up just fine. I'm not exactly a light-sleeper, but definitely not a heavy one either.
As for text messages... I do occasionally not hear it.
Darn. Hopefully it's something Sony address in future updates.
I'm looking to avoid rooting at the moment given that I bought the phone Sim-free so am rather paranoid about bricking it.
Same thing for me.. Tried to play some music first then turn on the alarm and it's such a difference! I too use my phone as an alarm and I really can't be late for work anymore Tried several alarm apps as well but no luck.. Hope they fix it soon

Will check this option and share my experience
Thanks anyhow
Any confirmation?
I thought it was the volume security policy used by Sony like on their MP3 Walkman.
Anyone tried with Viper4android?

Thanks, tried it and its noticeably louder when receiving a sms
I haven't tried it yet, but this thread mentions another setting that might boost the volume of the internal speaker.
Will be testing it later today when I get home from work. Don't want to be testing my alarm in the middle of the office XD

Enable xloud as well
low ringtone for alarm
Hi,
In the sound selection menu for the alarm I have the possibility to replay a new possible tone. This is much louder than the alarm and it is much louder when the tone that is emitted when I pull the volume slider for the alarm to the right and keep pressed, which is too quiet for me. Currently, I find no way to set a reasonable volume. Currently, the vibrator is almost louder.
What have I done so far? I tried diffent sounds and mp3s. I have turned off all sound effects. No increase the ringer volume, no EQ, no Sourroundsound, no Clearaudio +, no normalization. The adjustable volume, is whe I use the side-mounted switches -> to maximum. Also the menu Sound settings volume - every sound slider is at max. However, the max volume is also different than the volume that is output when I replay this file in the menu where I can choose the alarm tone. The replayed sound is much louder and enough for me.
Please not a new ROM, I do not want to tinker.
Thanks for your help
Greetings
P.
This sound issue is already fixed on the new FW (.314).

No, the newest software .314 doesn't fix the problem. Without xloud and normalization(this helps the most I think) turned on I could barely hear notifications. Now they are the same level as when I play them from notification picker. Which all is kind of weird to be honest. Ringtone is normal when somebody rings me. But level of notifications when SMS comes or whatever is 2 times quieter than when playing sound from notification picker in settings menu.

There's a mod in Themes and app section where you can get both speakers working for notification as stock Sony ROM only use bottom speaker for notifications. This might help a bit
One thing I've noticed with xLoud is that if I put the phone into vibrate/silent mode, then the xLoud setting no longer takes effect when I put the volume back up again. Even if I disable and re-enable the xLoud checkbox, I'm back to the volume I got without xLoud. The only way to get it working is to power off the phone and then power it back on again.

Yea I used the mod before but that doesn't change anything :/ Sony messed up firmware.
xperia Z3
I solved the problem. I downloaded the app Ringtone Maker, opened it in the desired mp3. Click on the Fade and volume and set to 4-5. Save as like new notification and add to the desired application. Done.

Question Realme GT 5G Ringtone Volume problem

I have a problem in the form of the ringtone volume, namely setting my own sound mp3 (music)
The phone sees the sound settings as a ringtone, but does not really respond to its volume in the ringing mode, only in the notification mode. In so describing, it simply does not work to adjust the ringer volume on its own on a custom setting.
Maybe someone had such a problem
P.S All phone system resets system settings checked
Same problem here, with default ones there's no issue.
