Hi there xda members.
I got the st15i and I have tried some roms but u have found issues at nearly all of. Like battery drain, auto screen open, problem at loader and so on.
I want to find the perfect Rom (ICS) that will have no issues, I want is as stable as the official.
Until now I tried kamarush's Rom but I think it has faster battery drain and kinda weird issues, exempt that I tried the ExMIUI 2.8.10 and I have now that rim but I have the problem at the market, I can't download any app, I am getting an error after long time of waiting to start the download.
So is there any Rom that is based from official without having any mods or tweaks (if some that won't make issues to the phone ), to have just some unnecessary apps removed so the phone can be lighter and the launcher to be like the official one and not like Sony's one.
I opened the topic for locked bootloaders but when I will get my answer I will make it for unlocked ones too .
Sorry fit my English from now if I have something not understandable

What are the differences in that 2 roms ; are they based on the official ; which launcher do they have ;

The lite version is like a clone of the stock Rom,almost all of the content is same (UI,etc.)...the normal version is based on stock Rom,butwith many mod installed in it

Try official ics
The official is the easiest way. I am searching for a Rom that will be the official but with the unnecessary apps removed and to be with the trebuche loader

I had to go back to cm7 because my only real problem with ics is about media scan, doesnt refresh and is a pretty bad problem, dont know if someone else have the same problem, but while im over gingerbread, maybe jelly bean would be better, im using a st15

Help with Real MIUI
I'm using Real MIUI by kobzar and for some reason I am not getting the option to select the USB connection mode when I connect my phone to PC.
Any help will be so much appreciated. See screenshot, I am not getting that option and I don't know why.
Already tried:
1. fresh install of everything - no go
If you want a stable rom which is just like the official...why not use the official and use any app to manually remove unnecessary programs? There's also a script to do that http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...her sd managment tools recognize the sd card?

Yes, the SD card is working fine - not a big deal but I really want to have that option if it's possible

Not necessarily, depends on what you delete. There are several lists of system apps that can be removed without causing any issues, in the bloatware removal kit i showed you there's a pretty extensive list of programs safe to remove.
I decided to unlock the bootloader, it's much easier that downgrading, rooting etc.
Is minicm lite stable as the official cm9 ;
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
Let's Unlock BL and u'll have more better choice
I will do so today or tomorrow.
So does anybody know the differences/stableness between the minicm lite and the official cm9 ;
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
Most stable is stock Rom . No doubt ... but I have also found real ics 5.2.and cm7.2 stable.

Ok, so i updated my xperia S to ICS and when i get in the settings app and when i scroll it's stuttering and lagging as hell! Also when i long press home button and the recent apps show it also stutter alot, and when im swiping left and right. Is there any fix for that? I'm on 6.1.A.2.45.
And i cannot unlock the bootloader so roms and kernels ar not the solution
What launcher are you using? If you have just updated maybe give it some time to settle?
. 45 is a lot smoother for a lot of people. I would maybe try a force restart with power and volume up and then just use it for some more hours and see if there are any changes.

Well, i'm using stock launcher, which came with the phone.
I have ics for one week and its nitbgetting better, and then i wanted to install a custom kernel butb i can't because my bootloader is locked
I mean, my old nexus S with single core is much smoother in settings app, almost fluid, like a butter and my new xperia with dual core processor is lagging as hell.. :/
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Well at the moment my experia S is a lot smoother than my girlfriends nexus S
So really I think all these phones are a bit crazy sometimes!
Try my restart suggestion. But if it is lagging a lot in general, re flashing the firmware might be the best solution.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Well in almost every aspect Xperia S is smother (facebook app, evernote etc.) But only in launcher and settings app it laggs CONSTANTLY and it's not a minor lag, it's huge.
EDIT: Force restart didn't help :/

Reflashed the firmware and i still have the same problem :/

Hi,
I have a problem with receiving calls on my sola. It takes a few second when it is able to receive and after I slide to receive I have to wait another 4-5 sec to hear other site. I found this thread on sonymobile http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/57245 but there is no anwer or solution
I tried stock 1.54 firmware, BrainsRom, Pure BloodRom v2, munjenis kernel, but it didnt solve this problem.
Also tried latest 201 fxp CM9, but it kills battery to much, had issues with gps and also nfc don't work properly still.
Has anyone this issue with incoming calls too?
Is there some solution for this?
Pls help, I'm hopeless after few months with sola :crying:
I have the same issue, i had it also on my Old samsung, but fast update resolve problem. I dont know what sony doing. The same with incall speaker. Too low.

I had this problem sometimes, it happened when ram was low and after heavy using..
to avoid it set background processes limit to 2 or 3 . and use some task manager widget like Go taskmanager or ram booster.. And of course reboot ur device every 2 or 3 days maximum -_-" , I'm not having it with good ram management..

Thx, but I'm still having this issue even after I flashed .54 stock firmware, did root, removed all bloatware. I was running on pure and clean system with constantly about 160MB fee ram
Now I'm trying new pulaks ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089032), hope that it is the solution :fingers-crossed:
I had this problem on stock ics. Switching to cm9 fixed it for me. Never gonna go back again.

Also tried fxp and xfp based, but had another problems - not fully functional NFC, GPS issues, sporadis phone restarts, battery killing, app freezing...
OK I had this problem again today, took me like 17 seconds to answer a call..tho my device was in very good condition. So I really give up about this stupid issue.. I flashed Fire Droid today, shame on Sony for not solving such a basic issue
Sent from my Xperia Sola using xda app-developers app
I vote the FXP solution too. That worked out for me.
Did you do a full wipe before flashing FXP? But yeah, the NFC isn't that great on CM9, but at least the "phone" portion of it works.
@Snowstormzzz
Before FXP I flashed fresh .54 stock, then flashed boot.img and did wiped all through cwm, then wipe again after install all zips
@Silver-7
Maybe in .75 version it will be resolved
Anyway, I'm on FLUIDITY ROM now for almost 2 days, waiting for incoming calls - still in hope that this stupid bug is already resolved here.
Let us know about the result please

Hi, after 4 days on Fluidity OC I accepted several calls and it seems that bug with receiving calls is resolved here!!!
Thx to pulak861
Cool, but u know sometimes I don't have it even in a month! So I guess we still have to hope for an official fix in .75
Btw I flashed back to stock this time without using any task managers depending on theory that Android has it's special behavior about ram management unlike windows.
I recommend u use "Watchdog" app, to kill only apps that eat CPU not ram. Well so far I'm not having problems too.
Sent from my MT27i
In my case it was delayed in about 4 calls of 5 on all ROMs except FXP, so I'm happy now :victory:
And thanks for Watchdog tip
I'm getting quite frustrated with my Xperia P sometimes..
After running for a while it slows down when typing..
For example: I've written a two line message to someone, but onscreen it only shows the first half of the first line. When I stop typing it's 'ghost' typing the rest of the text.
This happens in all applications where I can enter a text message. (SMS/WhatsApp/Facebook/Browser etc.)
When I reboot my phone, everything is back to normal. But after using is for a day or two, it becomes slow again.
Does anyone know a fix for this?

It can't be because of the ram xperia P have 1gb
I used to have this delay (only on stock rom) try a custom rom (cm9.1) or any thing from your choice

That's just another proof that Sony software SUCKS, they give us amazing eye candy media apps and that's it.. had this problem with Sola few times ,thought it was ram issue, but now that u r having it with P ,it's really funny..looks like even with a 1G ram u have to reboot ur Sony every 2-3 days maximum!

Hmm, just noticed that the Xperia P is not supported yet?
Or is it filed under a different name?

If you have "vibrate on press" try disabling it... Sometimes I note a lag because of that (specially on my previous phone)

Still haven't put CM9 on my phone, so I'll try this first.
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
Disabling the vibrate function did not help.
So I'll try to put CM9 on my phone.

It takes at least 10min in cold start.
I think aGPS is not working.
I tried rewrite gps.conf many times, the problem was not improved.
JB .400 and .100 has this problem.
sorry for my broken english...
stock JB, stock kernel, locked BL.
Are you sure it's not a hardware problem rather than software?
Sent from my 4.2.2 PAC powered Xperia S via Tapatalk
I've had similar issues and found lots of answers.
There seems to be some sort of bug with some xperia models where GPS will not lock after sleepmode is entered no matter how many sats it can see. I've only found forum references to it, but nothing official.
The trick I've discovered is:
Reboot the phone
Turn off WiFi (very important)
Use GPS Test (or GPS status or similar) to clear the AGPS Data and request new AGPS data.
It should then get a lock within about 10 seconds. You have to turn WiFi off so that the AGPS can use your cell tower to get the data.
I'm using the unofficial stock JB on an Xperia U. This only works if your AGPS is working (if you see sats pop up within about 15 seconds before they start locking you're good, otherwise you'll need to fix your AGPS by editing your gps.conf)
Hope this helps.
---------- Post added at 04:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:46 PM ----------
I should also add that it seems to continue to lock quickly after this, but after the phone sleeps for too long GPS stops working again. Then you just have to repeat the process.
I fixed AGAIN.
Add a below text into the gps.conf.
SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com
SUPL_PORT=7275
SUPL_NO_SECURE_PORT=3425
SUPL_SECURE_PORT=7275
SUPL_TLS_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com
SUPL_TLS_CERT=/etc/Suplcert
It seems to faster lock the GPS satellites.
Please test this.
