MMS over WiFi Calling. - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I think MMS or Group Messaging over WiFi Calling is really buggy. Does anyone else have issues?

A little off topic, but is the group messaging feature compatible with the iPhone and other devices?

Yes. Group Messaging works fine with iPhone and everything else. It is very solid unless I'm on WiFi Calling.

Do you mind posting a screenshot? Sorry to go off topic but on my sensation, anything that was buggy on WiFi calling was because of WiFi strength

I'm sorry, I won't post a screenshot, too much editing required. But it looks really nice on stock sense messaging app.
My WiFi signal is really strong, my internet is at least 30 Mbps up/down. Calls are really stable over WiFi Calling, SMS are stable, but MMS seems to be not stable, some go through, some don't. And it seems like group messaging never works over WiFi Calling.

Everything works fine for me.

I've done more testing, and it seems that MMS from stock messaging app are going through just fine, while on WiFi calling, but if I use third party app like Facebook Messenger, it doesn't go through, and it says that I don't have connection. Is there a way to force my phone to see network availability when connected to WiFi Calling?
Thanks.

i tried this earlier today but couldn't get it working correctly. maybe it was because i am not using my default text messaging app on my phone and it said thats why i could be having problems. basically, i could send messages perfectly fine but i could not receive them on the tablet. this was via a wifi connection.
any idea why this would be?

AOSP Messaging App?

Is there any way to get the AOSP text messaging app to replace the Sense one? I read that a direct replacement of the APK doesnt send MMS correctly. Anyone got one working? Im sick of the Sense messaging redraws and slowness.
There is one on the market but mms doesn't work on it either. I want it too. Hopefully someone can figure it out!

You guys should try Slide Messaging from the Play Store. It's pretty awesome. Funny thing is I had that exact idea not too long ago. Anyway, if you download it, it doesn't have MMS support yet and it's a tad bit slow even on our phones. >_<

I find the app works, but unless I freeze the stock messaging app in TiB I receive duplicates for each message. So if you freeze it everything works right, but now I have the problem that lightflow keeps repeating and I cant clear the notification sounds unless its from the stock app. I could just disable lightflow, but I work in a loud environment and I kind of need it to keep repeating or else i usually wont hear or even feel it 1st time. That's all i use lightflow for, is the repeating sound and vibration, the LED's are disabled. If anyone knows another app out there that can do the same thing that would be nice.

Or not, since MMS is really shoddy and is completely disabled without paying, not to mention it being really slow if you have many messages.

Try changing your network settings. From CDMA/lte to CDMA only.
Some have problems and some don't. It may be a network issue as many Sprint forums complain about it

What you need to do is go to the stock messaging app and go to the settings and uncheck auto receive mms. Then when you get a mms go into the stock messaging app and click download. That'll fix it

I'm having the same issue, where I cannot send nor receive MMS messages. I tried changing the network type and unchecking the "auto-receive" setting and using the "download" buttons in the actual message but to no avail.
If anyone has any other ideas (other than contacting Sprint) please let me know! It's strange that it only affects some users and not others.
Thank you in advance!
If you are on cm10 or 10.1 then sprint can't help you.
So don't waste your time.
You can try sending a MMS to yourself. That's one of the first things i do when i flash an aosp rom. It might hang for me 1 out of 20 MMS.

Can you describe exactly what the problem is? Is the picture just not going through at all?
MMS
I can't get MMS to work either. I flashed the unofficial cm 10.1 rom and just yesterday I flashed the cyanogenmod black 10.1 rom. Now i've tried other suggested fixes and they don't work. I downloaded go sms on both roms and i can send and receive mms, but for some reason I can't do it in the stock apps. This leads me to believe that its not an issue with the network but rather the stock app. Am I correct? I usually use go sms but I like the fact that with the stock app i can pull down the notification bar and just push reply from there and get a little pop up window.
BTW when I uncheck auto-receive it just shows me that I have a mms message but it won't download. This is the only issue I've had so far with cm 10.1. I don't want to go back to a sense rom.
Galaxy Nexus - Same MMS Problem on LTE only... 3g ok
Tried cm10, pa3, and EOS 4 all have the same issue when sending/receiving MMS while on a LTE.
Everything works great on 3g.
Compared the the APNs for EOS and the stock OTA 4.2.1 from sprint (which mms via LTE work) and they look the same.
So whats broken with all these roms?
You guys should try this. Back in the day ,pre-android era, whenever I had issues with text I would send one to myself and that would fix it! So I sent myself an mms and that fixed it for me. Also try sending it through goSMS maybe and then uninstall the app if you don't like it. Keep in mind that I am able to receive MMS through goSMS just not the stock app. Good Luck!!

I've tried all the quick and not so quick fixes offered so far including yours and none including yours work... sorry. The problem is with the ROM(s) which most assuredly are not based on the official OTA 4.2.1 from Sprint. I know this because mms works on the official OTA from sprint for either wifi, 3g, and LTE. So until the rom devs decide to fix this problem we are not going to be able to send/recieve mms on LTE.
Hmm

CM 10 MMS problems

I am having problems sending mms via wifi. surprisingly it works for regular data. I have research and reseached, and so far it seems like it could be the APN settings. I researched more, and i couldnt find sufficient info on changing these settings if this is the case. Can someone please help me?

It's funny how GV App has remain buggy and featureless. I wonder why the hell Google doesn't fix it and gives it a major overhaul like all their other apps. Like for instance I've always wondered why don't they include in-app purchasing capabilities for when you want to top off your account for international calling.... that's just messed up.
Google should really pay attention to that app, many people use this service and deserve something better.
GV works fine for me. You need to be post-paid. Pre-paid doesn't have call forwarding.
I have post paid
So do I, so that's certainly not the issue.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I got it to work by manually doing call forwarding to my GV number, only to see it switch back a couple days later. I believe it had to do with using T-mobile's WiFi calling, but I can't say for certain.
