This mod or init.d script is for those peoples who are the bootanimation's lovers and always change their bootanimation to try new one. Now no need to do that, you can enable multiple bootanimations in your system without changing or replacing the old one. In this mod you can enable 2-7 bootanimations simultaneously, each bootanimation will be displayed in a continues sequence or chain whenever you reboot your device (means first bootanimation on first reboot, second bootanimation on second reboot, third bootanimation on third reboot and so on). Necessary requirements, instructions, screenshots and files are given below.
Requirements:- (1) A rooted device
(2) Workink init.d support
(3) Sharp mind
Instructions for enabling this mod or script:-
(1) Download and extract one of the init.d script which one you like, and put this script in system/etc/init.d folder with permissions rwx rwx rwx(0777).
(2) Now create a folder in system/media, and name it as bootanimations with permissions rwx r-x r-x.
Now inside this folder again create a folder and name it as 1 with permissions rwx r-x r-x (execute this step carefully as given in screenshots).
(3) Now according to init.d script that you have downloaded put your bootanimations inside the folder system/media/bootanimations and give permissions to all bootanimations as rw- r-- r--(0644) (again execute this step carefully as given in screenshots).
(4) Name the bootanimations carefully as the screenshots attached below and acc. to script that you have downloaded .
(5) All done now reboot and enjoy.
[Note:- As the script naming indicates only a specified number of bootanimations can be played with a particular script so choose script carefully.]
Bug:- System bootanimation will not be displayed if you use any of these scripts. To enable or view that just copy the bootanimation from system/media folder and replace it with any bootanimation file inside system/media/bootanimations folder, and provide the naming according to your init.d script as given in screenshots also sometimes script works after two reboots.
To know how to enable init.d support
on your phone just go to this thread,
choose one of the method to enable
init.d support(which one you like) and
follow all the instructions carefully:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849
Just a recommendation from myself
must install busybox (normal install
method) by stericson as described in
thread before enabling init.d support. So that it can work perfectly.
Press thanks if u think this post is useful to you.

ok friend I will look that, but can you please provide me any test.log which can prove your init.d support is fully working (just a request).
Tested the script that I have uploaded in thread.
Result- Executed successfully.
Only thing that I forgot to mention is, sometimes it requires two reboots to take effects fully.

find the and add the line on the right section #additional.. not at the end "build.prop" in system

This is the new cm9 boot animation. Official version is out now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-5Av_EVpyI&feature=player_embedded
Ok the miui version is a bit faster as i had to reduce the length of the animation because the miui boot animation is faster than CyanogenMod......
I take no credit for this i just edited it for Miui users.
Good news I have made a flashable zip..........
Installation
For CyanogenMod users flash the Cm9Bootanimation.zip in recovery
Reboot and enjoy
For miui users just apply the mtz in theme manager
Reboot and enjoy
Credit to sahibunlimited for making it awesome work and PurpleFries for his edited version which i used for the miui version.
And Akilldema for his smooth but small file size which i used for the flashable zip.

There is a similar thread on this forum that I have tried many times but failed to succeed :-/
I hope this one does, I prefer using stock kernel.
Edit:
By the way you need to edit Add_InitD_Scripts_15Oct2012_pack2.zip, it will fail to be flashed in CWM because folder META-INF is not in the root dir of the zipped files, META-INF and System folders must be at the root of the zip file and not inside a folder

Download Droid Manager (Link to thread in my signature)
Run Droid Manager (After you install it for sure )
it needs busybox installed. IF it's not installed users will get a prompt to install it.
after busybox is installed click the button "Start Droid Manager"
Unzip your the downloaded files from this thread, follow instructions in the screenshot, tell Droid Manager which files are the scripts
the rest is explained in the attachment of this comment.
I'm sorry I didn't write instructions since I usually find providing an image is easier than providing written steps
By the way current version of Droid Manager installs BusyBox 1.18
I will be adding version 1.20.2 in the next release which is due max tomorrow

Yups thats strange....
I know!!!
And I know, Sliding Xp Has init.d support, but when I c, there was no folder in the system/etc, and I've tried thru pimp my rom's verify before installing its own init.d support... Its says "Nopes, No Support"
Bt when I install pmr init.d support and then I verify, it says "Success"
So it means, for me, Sliding xp has no init.d support.... Strangeness always occurs in my case ONLY!!!
Now the thing is that, I have 38 scripts, and they all r 0 bits, so it means thet r corrupted and I shud delete them all and flash aroma version again...
What u say??
Hello Guys!
I am back with my new and great boot-animation for our only Xperia SP!
This is a great and amazing boot-animation
With the logo of Xperia SP a pure white essence just beautify's the phone's look with the X Box logo
It's just amazing
I have attached 3 screenshots which I guess are more than enough for you!
Rest you need to see when you try
This is an aroma flashable file so just boot into recovery and install this amazing boot animation
Some special feautres
* It has sound which intensifies the amazing experience of this boot animation
* It is in potrait mode i.e. You have it in vertical screen
* It is a flashable file. No need to carry all the manual setting like copying, setting permission bla bla. Just download, reboot in recovery, install and enjoy
Q:- I am just loving it, want to try NOW! But how to install it with keeping my current (or original) bootanimation safe!
You just need to go to root of your phone via root explorer the migrate to "/system/media/" there you will find your current or stock bootanimation.zip file. Just copy it and save it to someplace safe.
Then reboot into recovery and install my bootanimation!
Warning : No bricked devices should be blamed at me! Install at your own risk. Recommendation is to always keep a nandroid backup ready!

Though it is purely SAFE! But in-case you know if any mishap happens.
Please hit thanks for this great bootanimation..!
Here is the download link : https://app.box.com/s/quf3wpea5b54vcivdcv0
Request : Every work I do I need resources and currently I am working on various projects along with this bootanimation projects like building a beautiful and super sexy and fast ROM (4.4.4) with all the options to edit your own ROM as you wish from customizing battery icon to it's system tray and everything without any third party software! I am creating manual themes that would be provided with the ROM. Me alone as a developer it takes pretty much time and resources to build them eg I had my phone hard bricked just for trying my first bootanimation I made and I lost all my data in case of recovering it and it costed a lot of money too as Sony Service Center had to repair it. Please consider a small donation to me as it would help me to get my resources as I try every project before I release and ensure that you don't feel any bugs and it will also encourage me to develop more projects for future. If you have problem in donating then wait for sometime as my PayPal doesn't opens for all but do try at a later time. Thanks in advance

Was about to port an xbox boot animation and wham you beat me to it. Amazing work but the only problem I see with the boot animation is that xperia sp image. The font just doesnt suit the xperia sp design. Change the typography and ill be using this everyday

Btw you should add the instruction to change the downloaded zip to bootanimation.zip and chnage its permissions
That Xperia SP screen is original.
And it's flashable zip so need to set permission or anything

Do you have any custom ROM for your device?
If yes then open it and you'll find the first folder named as meta-inf
