[Q] [Noob] what to do with this version? [CID:02_102] - HTC One X+

Hello all,
I just bought a One X+ with 02_102 CID and i'm very confused...
i've unlock bootloader and flash TWRP, all seem to be ok. But when i flash a boot.img (Blade) i lost network and wifi...
So i just wondering if i'm obligated to keep my original 02 boot or if i sould repack a rom/kernel with my boot and modules.
I come from a huawei device, i just discovered the htc "particularity" (radio, hboot and other thing totaly new for me...) so please, keep cool, don't punch me and try to be the most possible comprehensive
device info:
-Android 4.1.1
-Sense 4+
-API HTC: 4.63
-Kernel: 3.1.10
-baseband: 3.1204.168.32
build: 1.17.206.1
ENRC2B_U (S-ON)
HBOOT:1.35.0000
thank you in advance

Question About HTC EVO 3D GSM

hello mates
i have an HTC EVO 3D GSM
RELOCKED
SHOOTER_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.49.0011
RADIO-10.13. 9020.29_M
eMMC-boot

i have an wifi issue error so i decided to search in the whole EVO 3D forum
i see a lot of answer that wifi issue on HTC EVO 3D GSM can be solved by flashing an Custom rom so i decided to do that,
i unlock my bootloader using HTCDEV then i install recovery using this command
fastboot flash recovery (the name of the file .img)
and it works smoothly
i installed the MIUI.us_shooter_2.4.6_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed.zip via install SD card on recovery but after reboot
my HTC EVO hang on HTC Logo so now every custom rom i flash is smoothly can flash on my htc via Recovery
but every custom rom i flash on my htc is cannot be solved my problem about the htc logo only so i decided to relocked my bootloader and flash an ruu
i checked my CID and its HTC__001 i think that 001 cid is an EUROPE branded so i download the latest RUU on football thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208485
and the latest europe version he have is 'RUU_Shooter_U_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.8_Radio_10.59.9020.00_10.15.9020.06_M_release_219793_signed
so i downloaded it and flash on my htc but the RUU give me bootloader error so think about why its give me bootloader error so i search it on the google and it see that was an hboot problem the one i use to flash on my HTC evo is lower than my hboot.. anyone can give me the higher version of RUU of europe?
or any suggestion about my cid HTC__001?
i dont have any goldcard so i cannot by pass my cid i only use goldcard tool to make a goldcard but i dont have any good set here to be able to take the goldcard.img on an HTC EVO 3D GSM
any suggestion is highly apprecited
same problem here... i nearly read evry tutorial regarding hboot downgrade .. but my phone just stucks on logo..
custom roms are installed successfully but after reboot always same stuck on logo...
i m with hboot 1.49.0009
s-on
bootloader unlocked
flashed recovery
rooted
installed custom rom
all in vain... any help is appretiated
I am also having same wifi problem. I didn't found any Stock Voda-Hutch ICS RUU for EVO 3D so I tried to flash Europen RUU. But at the end Rom didn't install and I got wifi error. I also tried different custom roms but no use. I can't root and s-off my device because HBOOT version is 1.53.007 Phone CID is VODAP021.
I found one difference in Rom below:

[Q] GPS and switching rom question's

Hi everyone,
So I am currently using CM10, but for some reason the GPS and MMS doesn't work. My only concern right now is to get GPS working again. After reading the forums the consensus seems to try to go back to sense and get a lock, then re-install CM10. The problem I seem to run into is that if I try to install another ROM it ends up not booting.
So I came here to ask for help. I think it might have something to do with the Kernel version, but I'm not 100% sure.
Specs:
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: 1.12.11.0809
Kernel version: 3.0.51-geb1844c [email protected] #1
CyanogenMod version: 10
Team Win Recovery Project v2.4.1.0
DirtyRacun
Jewel PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
CID-SPCS_001
HBOOT-1.19.2222
RADIO-1.12.11.0809
OpenDSP-V29.1.0.25.0622
eMMC-boot
After typing the specs I have noticed it doesn't say unlocked. Maybe this is the problem?
Ok so to recap here are my questions:
1. Does the kernel matter when installing ROMs?
2. When moving from Stock to any non-Sense ROM what is the correct way to make sure GPS works?
3. Should I be worried that it doesn't say unlocked in the bootloader? It might be re-locked because I tried a factory reset...
4. When does HBoot and Radio version matter?
5. Broad question: Is this the correct method to try to fix the GPS?
Thanks!

Is it an at&t branded htc one? 1.26.502.15 doesn't seem familiar to me. 1.26.502.12 does. I can send you the link for that ruu, but if you are ".15" and it is an at&t you will have to use the ruu for the next firmware up as downgrading is not allowed on s-on. Let me know if your htc one has an at&t logo on the back of it.

[Q] update to ViperOne 8.0.0 ROM confusion

I have been running an InsertCoin ROM for about a year now, and it is driving me insane. I rooted this phone and put this ROM on as soon as I got it, and now that I come back to XDA for an update, everything is changed and I am a bit confused.
When I go onto Venom ROM website, it says I need to update firmware to HTC 5.0.2. However, I can't tell which firmware I am even on, and I feel like a complete dumb ass. Here is relevant info for my phone, I want to update to a new rom and TMo's latest radio. If someone can real quick throw me some bulletpoints, i'll figure out the rest. THANK YOU!

for what its worth, i get that red warning on boot splash saying that this build is for development purposes.
I think what I need to do, is first flash the latest stock tmobile rom, and then flash venom rom over it.. does this sound right?

[Q] Returning to stock, different basebands in Fastboot and "about phone"

Hi all, I have a International HOX+ CID_203 with ViperX+ from the day one (Mar 2013) and now is 2.1.1 with TWRP 2.4 and elite kernel.
I recently discovered that the baseband in FASTBOOT is 3.1204.168.32 with HBOOT 1.35.0000 (S-ON) while in About Phone is 3.1204.171.33
I wish to give it to my wife with stock rom or a different custom rom (she doesn't like snakes) but I'm worried about this different baseband.
What is the best path returning to stock and having the right baseband partition? I see two options:
1) Apply the last RUU available (http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed.exe) with JB 4.11 and then get OTA updates to 4.2.2. Do I need to relock the bootloader?
2) Flash stock kernel with fastboot, relock bootloader and restore a stock backup and then apply firmware update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414238).
Can I re-unlock again if my wife wants a custom rom? I need to use the same unlock_code.bin or I must request another one?
Thank you very much for any hints
