Same here, any idea?
Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the glass lock lockscreen on my SGS II. I am using a replacement lock screen, widget locker and also use NoLED.
I find that when I receive a NoLED notification upon waking the phone I will have the glass lock screen which I need to unlock and then widget locker to unlock after that.
Is there any way to remove the glass lock screen altogether?

only way to remove the lockscreen would be to use a Custom ROM which has a different lock screen, due to how android works though there is no way to properly disable the lockscreen, Although Lock replacement apps can work around it i dont think Noled has that ability.
Custom roms ...Widget Locker..you can force the stock app never to open ...works for me ..
Delete noled and use missed it, put that widget on your home screen ..probelm solved ..
Here's my widget locker screen ....

How did you force the stock app never to open?
Hey,
i have a evo 3d and even before i rooted it and put a custom rom on it, i wanted to remove that weather lock screen that always comes up when you power your phone on. The one that has phone mail camera messages icons and the Current weather, and you then have to drag a circle to the middle. That is the screen i want to remove or disable.
How can i do this with a rooted or stock phone?
I have seen the no lock app and the ScreenMode App which DO remove the Lock screen im talking about, but they ALSO REMOVE the security Pin / Pattern Lock screen also (which i want to retain.)
As it is now, i have to go through 2 lock screen when i power up my phone- The Weather Lock screen i speak of above and want to remove/disable - and the 2nd lock screen is my Pin/Pattern Lock screen which i can enable or disable via Settings->Security->Device Lock.
Please help me remove the weather lock screen,
tks
Widgetlocker is your answer
there's a couple ROMs in the dev section that have removed it, and are using the aosp lockscreen, go check them out.
Just go to setting personalize lock screen and change it to whatever you want no root needed
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
You have 2 options. You can go into system/data and rename HTCLockscreen.apk to HTCLocksreen.bak (rather than deleting it, in case you ever want it back). Or you could use Titanium Backup to uninstall HTCLockscreen
Widget Locker now gives me its locker screen, which is then followed by my Pattern lock screen (which i need, i only want the pattern lock screen).
If i go to Settings->Personalize (nothing happens, as in i get no options to choose), it just brings me back to the home screen.
I have Titanium Backup Pro and removed HtcLockScreen.apk and it removed it sucesfuly, but now the default Google Lock screen (with the lock on one side, speaker on the other) and you slide the lock to the right to unlock it.
Is there a way to keep WidgetLocker running, but set it to NO lock screen. Normally you would just un-check "Enable Widget Locker" in WidgetLocker's settings but doing this makes the home weather lock screen reappear.
or is there a way to disable the Google lock screen and keep the Pattern Security lock screen (this is how i had it on my EVO 4g)
Thanks for the help guys!

Hold your finger on the weather widget for about 10 seconds (untill the *trash* pops up at the bottom) and drag the sucker into the trash.
Took me all of the first day I owned this phone to kill that POS.
To remove the default HTC Lock screen?
Eitherway i dont have a Weather Widget on my home screen, nor can i add one (dont have weather or news listed under my widgets when i try to add)
tks for the reply
is it possible to have shortcuts with the Pattern unlock lock screen?
I would like to have shortcurts to the Camera and Dialer while still have security provided with a Pattern unlock.
Is this possible with a completely stock (no rooting no anything) S III on Verizon?
Or do I need to install one of those lock screen apps? I'd prefer to remain completely stock for now if possible..

If you had shortcuts of any kind, that would kill the security.........
I wish Google would implement their Touch Gesture Actions From A Device’s Lock Screen idea asap... providing shortcut functionality without sacrificing security would be better than those 3rd party lock screens.

Not sure about defining shortcuts. but i used pattern lock and if I hold finger on screen, rotate to landscape, then swipe pattern, it launches camera.
if i have a missed call or text there is a circle on the lock screen with the qty and if i swipe off that circle then enter pattern it takes me right to that app (missed calls or messaging).

I don't care about security for the camera or dialer.
I know there is the camera motion shortcut thing but I like the clickable widget better. I want to have the capability to define widgets on the lock screen like you can when you don't have any security. But I want it with the pattern unlock. I guess this is not available out of the box? And needs a special app?

I would like the same thing... you can get it on the standard swipe to unlock so why not the pattern lock... I have tried various lockscreens but their not without their flaw...
Widget locker.. has lots of customisation and you can add custom sliders and widgets but... its buggy prone to crashing and takes a fair bit of tweaking to be secure (ie if you dont select correct setting you can unlock with just the home key) , sometimes have to unlock twice and it always request superuser access even when the phone is in standy ... so drains battery more than it should.
Go Locker - didnt like this at all just didnt seem secure... first version could be bypassed easily... plent of themes though if security is not a priority.
I see that the lock screen widgets are able to be minimized if I set my lock screen security to use only a swipe without any pattern unlock. Is it possible to have the lock screen widgets minimized when turning on the screen while using pattern unlock?
I'm using stock 4.3 omega v51 software.

I think there is a few xposed framework modules that address this. I am just relying on memory here so I'm sorry if they dont end up helping you solve your problem
